Let’s talk US Headcanons (March Update)

Alright pals, time to update a HC list I made about a month ago due to things changing about && what not. But after much though these def will be my HCs for this muse

                                                    Pregame

Prior to the game was Sans created as the eldest son to the Royal Guard’s Captain WD Gaster as an experiment conducted by him && the head Royal Scientist Unafyne by splicing his soul to create another being. Over time, as expected did this experiment conduct once more, his second son Papyrus being created a few years after Unafyne had given ‘birth’ to her offspring Undyne.  With how close the Royal Scientist && Captain were due to both being veterans from the War between Humans && Monsters, did Fyne also assist Gaster in creating what would soon be known as the Gaster Blasters, skeletal like canines created through magic; these were to soon be passed onto both his sons in the future. However, after Unafyne had fallen into the CORE did Gaster soon leave the Royal Guard, where it was soon picked up && the title of Captain was given to his youngest son.  Papyrus was hardworking,  but he was also so laidback && as kind hearted as his father. Eventually, after a bit of squabble with Alphys, did he drop out, the roll being passed onto her. Sans admired everything his brother did, wanting to be as strong as he was despite his low stats; but being the next royal guards men was something that ran in the family after all. He might have had alot on his plate, but it was a goal he strived to achieve. His desire grows more as the eldest son soon has a run in with the queen; he had recalled seeing her in the past with Gaster && Papyrus, but hadn’t quite met her. She seemed full of grief, having seemed to visit the strange patch of golden flowers that seemed to bloom in the garbage dump inside of Waterfall. She didn’t speak of much, but he learned soon enough that the Queen was always so unhappy because she had experienced the death of six human children. This implies that Asgore was the one who had killed those previous children before being  banished to the ruins. One of the reasons why Sans mentions wanting to be in the guard so much is to cheer the Queen up, he has high hopes that maybe he can make her smile!

                                                           MENTAL TRAUMA

Unlike vanilla Sans, this one dosen’t seem to share the same mental trauma of PTSD since he never experienced Gaster falling into the CORE or dying at all. Though he does have the anxiety of wanting to carry on the family line of being in the royal guard, he’s not much of a perfectionist but he wants to stay true to the previous captains before Alphys. Abandonment issues can be seen in both the King Sans && King NTT endings as expected, some times nightmares from these endings occurring 

                                                                  EXTRAS

As previously mentioned Sans’ stats are quite low; one reason why Alphys states that Sans isn’t fit for the guard, despite being really...really strong. Despite his 1/1 Atk/def stats, he’s actually quite fast on his toes && is skiled in battling since he learned from the best. However, does he get quite fatigued, the energy draining from his body even when he just ends up using up so much magic. His battle is actually ended by him falling asleep like in his vanilla battle!

Unlike vanilla UT Papyrus, Sans creates Riddles, practically spending night calibrating new ones! Though he does have a few puzzles scattered outside of Snowdin. More specifically there’s the X && O puzzles, followed by the colour changing tile one made by Doctor Undyne. His riddles come up when he blocks an area in any pacifist/normal routes, not letting you through until you answer the riddles correctly! Also, unlike UT Papyrus does Sans cook up tacos instead of spaghetti && usually ends up making them “bad” by eaither cooking the meat wrong when it comes to the date, or they’re usually frozen like the trap he sets out for Chara. In reality though, Sans loves to put ketchup on everything like his UT counterpart, substituting the tomatoes for the sauce instead. Aside from tacos, his other favorite foods are hotdogs/hotcats from Hotland && Spider Doughnuts from Muffet’s! && Finally, like his UT counterpart does Sans still keep up the habit of making quite the assortment of puns. Though he’s more toned down on making these, it seems like Papyrus dosen’t really seem too mind them.

I imagine US Paps is the one who gets to deal with all the fun reset and timeline stuff, so he probably often needs one.

I needed to get this outta my system. Mostly I wanted to draw a D*sney-esque hug. The third panel isn’t where I want it to be, because HUGS MAN. HOW DO ART. *holds pen in mouth and crosses eyes*
