Is it weird that I kind of read Albrecht as a bit of a Roland Deschain archetype? Supernaturally powerful, with a high society background combining with their relation to the problem to create a sense of morality centered unwaveringly around a single goal - So single-mindedly obsessed with stopping the Indifference that he's willing to do great good or great evil in equal measure if it'll get him closer to doing so.

There's no extent he won't go to in order to protect people from the Indifference, yes, but if he thinks throwing someone under the bus will hinder the indifference he won't hesitate long.
