An Ode to Introverts

The sun is shining way too bright, you wish the pain would end

You stayed awake to 3 am, the internet’s your friend

You would much rather be a bat, and sleep the day away

Your fellow fandom occupiers all feel the same way

The blankets you cloak yourself in are normal, ‘cause you see

You’d much prefer the blanket to some human company

It’s so much easier to speak when you have all the time

To compose and recompose your every single line

Your fingers are faster than your words, typing up a storm

You’d take a killing curse to the head before you would conform

People’s voices are so loud it’s like they’re going deaf

Trying to match their booming tones will leave you out of breath

So do not bother going out, it’ll only hurt your head

The entire universe can be contained inside your bed
