I still think his character arc is an allegory for the Obama presidency.

Think about it - the supposed Prince of Hope knocks out Sollux (bipartisanship) and betrays Feferi (social welfare programs) and Kanaya (the LGBT community) in order to suck up to the Fascist Murderbeast Bec Noir (the GOP), who feels irrational loyalty to Jade (Reagan), a figure whom Noir does not truly know or understand and whose actions have often directly contradicted his stated ideals and goals.

Eridan then goes to confront Gamzee (the increasingly dispossessed and disillusioned muddle class) and Vriska (Vriska) with the intention of eliminating them as well, while his past self has made futile attempts at flirting with Karkat (true leftism).

It just makes too much sense.

HAPPY ARADIA AUGUST #3!!!

once again I am fully winging it and doing it a liiiitttle different this year. again. explanations under the cut!!

Instead of a distinct prompt for each day of the month, i have roughly split it into four Themed Weeks. As always there are no real rules as long as you are making Aradia Content and putting it in the #AradiaAugust tag, but the themed weeks leave a bit of wiggle room for those of us who like guided prompts. You can do a new variation on the theme for each day of the week, or just one piece at literally any point during the week, or just go nuts and do whatever the hell you want forever.

Speaking of which: yeah the 1st, 2nd, and 31st are just kinda wildcard days anyway. Go nuts!

Week 1: AU Week! Put Aradia in your fave AU. Humanstuck? Coffee Shop AU? Canon Divergent? Bloodswap???? Crossover??????? The possibilities are endless.

Week 2: Relationships! Okay I know I put the quadrant symbols in the illustration but this week is meant to focus on ALL of Aradia's dynamics with other characters! Not every ship has to be like, A Ship, you know? So quadrants, brotps, "idk what they are but they compel me" type situationships, whatever interests you, get into it here!!

Week 3: Fashions! So this one's for me. The guy whose blog is probably about 40% Drawings Of Aradia In Outfits by volume. But fr there are a lot of fun outfits out there!! She could be cosplaying! She could be out on the town! She could be exploring historical fashion! She could be alchemizing wild looks out of garbage from her room!! Consider the wide array of options available to you.

Week 4: Metamorphosis! Aradia gets a lot of different looks, and this is the week to explore her journey through those!
