Do Elves and Fae have a mating season or something?

They don't have a mating season. However, since the fairies are dependent on the elves, sometimes they are "blown away". If the fairy really liked a particular elf, her thoughts begin to get confused from his sight and smell. At such moments, the fairy considers the elf dazzlingly beautiful. This feeling is like being in love multiplied by twenty. The fairy does not control herself, and this is very dangerous for herself: predators (and fairies are predators) should not relax like that. That is why the fairies are used to "anticipating" the appearance of such feelings in themselves, and behave extremely rudely with the elves, and try to subdue them first - by brute, artificial force. This is not good for anyone.

And yet, earlier, when there were continuous forests in Iceland, closer to winter, the lower fairies moved from the thicket to the clearings - to the higher fairies. Elves lived in the field. And, of course, when the wild fairies first met the elves, chaos began.
