Peter looses his memory in an accident and afterwards everyone is very helpful

But he’s not stupid. He realizes he has feelings for Tony pretty early on, but he knows there’s a big age difference so his memory-self probably kept the feelings hidden. So Peter does too

It worries everyone, especially Tony, who thinks Peter doesn’t love him anymore now that he doesn’t have his memories

And then Peter asks who the person he tells everything to is and the consensus is that that’s Tony. But Peter can’t talk to Tony about this! So he asks for the second person

Which actually feels like someone stabbed Tony. Thank you very much.

And when Peter’s sitting together with Ned and MJ and he gets to know his apparently best friends he finally whispers his secret to them… and he’s met with guffawing laughter and an exclaimed „I sure hope you love him! Marrying him wouldn’t have made a lot of sense otherwise“

norman is a controlling piece of shit but harry was Peter's friend when no one else would be. seeing Harry's health decline so suddenly leaves such a sour taste in Peter's -- almost as sour as the way norman osborn's unwanted compliments. you're such a smart boy, Peter. so hardworking, so motivated, so healthy. not like harry. he never recovered after his mother died, mentally. lost a piece of himself.

privately, Peter thinks harry lost a part of himself a long time ago, and it's something norman cut away and keeps in his bedside drawer like a trophy.

when Norman gives Peter an ultimatum, Peter can't say he's surprised. what's surprising is the terms.

seduce Tony Stark. beautiful boy like you, just like he likes. You can do it. might even get a bag out of it, too. i know things are tough. speaking of, how is May doing, lately? just make Tony loose enough to spill a secret or two, and maybe harry will just...miraculously recover.

and Peter does it. he flutters his eyelashes and lets Tony fuck him in a public bathroom at some fancy event. he lets Tony cover him in diamonds. he sleeps in Tony's bed. he kisses Tony, laughs with him, feeds him. sneaks files on a flashdrive and then lets Tony fuck him over the kitchen counter.

he feels dirty and horrible. he thinks Tony might be the best man he's ever met, and he tells him so.

Tony tells him he doesn't seem the sort to be a sugar baby. peter doesn't tell him he lost his virginity in a public bathroom at a fancy event.

peter tells norman about the repulser and suddenly Harry is more lucid than he's been in months. Tony buries himself in Peter's body and Peter pets his hair and shakes himself to pieces.

"i love you."

I'm sorry. I love you.

Peter is sloppy, tips his hand. he's escorted off the premises by security. the last thing he sees is Tony, impassive and impressive in his three piece suit, hands in his pockets, jaw clenched. then the doors of stark tower slide shut and Peter is as free as he's going to be.

harry gets worse. Norman sends him away to Europe for treatment that won't work, but maybe harry will be happier. Norman can't blackmail Peter with something that's already public, and Tony doesn't press charges even as Peter waits for the sirens outside his door.

three months later, Peter works for Norman like a dog and Tony shows up at his door like a whirlwind, all wild eyes. he wants to know why Peter did it. he wants to know if any of it was real.

peter closes the door in his face.

Tony keeps talking to the door, because he knows Peter is standing on the other side trying to make himself walk away. why, how, who. who was it that was in my bed? was he real, even a little? it doesn't make sense. None of it makes sense.

Tony stays for over an hour. Norman seems particularly smug when Peter brings him his coffee in the morning. maybe he just likes the idea of Tony Stark on his knees. maybe he likes that he's the reason Peter left Tony on the doorsteps. he never liked Harry and he likes Peter too much. Peter thinks Norman might be the worst person he's ever met, and he has to look himself in the mirror everyday.

harry likes Europe, at least.

when news breaks that norman osborn has been running inhumane studies and fishing his books, that he killed his wife, that he is well on his way to killing his son, that he's mentally unwell...Peter is on the subway. some of the biggest news of his life, and he finds out accidentally reading Twitter over someone's shoulder on the orange.

Tony is waiting for him when he gets out of the station. he's not sure how Tony knew where to find him. peter doesn't even remember where he had been going.

"i didn't want to."

I'm sorry. I love you.

Tony opens his arms and Peter is there before he understands what precious sort of thing is being offered. he's there before he realizes he started crying ten minutes before, still in the subway car. Tony is just there. he's there and he's forgiving Peter and Peter doesn't deserve it. not at all.

I'm sorry. I love you.

I love you. I love you.

"I love you, too." Tony might as well tell the whole world, the way he whispers it into Peter's hair. "God, kid. They gutted me when they took you away."

peter doesn't think he's been a full person in years. he shakes under the weight of it. like feeling gravity for the first time. "i don't know how to do this."

"a relationship? me, neither." Tony grins, his chin digging into the top of Peter's head. he won't let go, even a little, while the subway rush floods out onto the sidewalk. "can't be harder than corporate espionage."

peter laughs so hard he chokes, and Tony spins him around like he doesn't care about anything else, and Peter is horrible and human and he's okay, he'll be okay. he's free.

he's as free as he's ever been, and he's in love.

Tony can't finish dressing by himself.

Broken arms fuck up a lot more than he expects. No matter how often he fucks up his arm or his shoulder or his elbow, it always surprises him. Buttons? He's lucky he's had a lot of practice undressing one-handed. Zippers? 50-50 shot towards manageable but he has been traumatized from the last time Pepper had to detangle him from his slacks. Now he's a little gunshy.

Ties, though. There's no hope without a second set of hands.

He doesn't wear many ties these days. He's semi-retired, after the whole death thing. The charming romp that resulted in his broken arm was an unexpected exception involving a set of French doors, some ill-advised molotov cocktails, and ten sets of stairs. And also an assassination attempt, once Tony finished laughing his ass off. It was immediate karma, although Tony maintains he didn't deserve it.

Pepper has begged him to show his face in public more. They think he faked his resurrection, which is funny because they thought he faked his death, too, and the resurrection was, like, three years ago -- Tony doesn't have the kind of patience for a long con.

Speaking of patience: "Hey, Pete?" Tony gives up trying to strangle himself with the silk monstrosity Pepper set out on his bed this afternoon. "Mind helping out an invalid?"

"One sec!" Peter's voice bubbles from down the hallway. He's excited in a way one can only be when they haven't been to too many fancy events in their life. Pepper was smart about sending Peter as his plus one. At least then,some of Peter's enthusiasm might rub off. "Let me wash my hands. This shit gets everywhere, every time."

It'll be a fun event, as much as it could be. Not black tie, and the invitations swing a little camp. Tony is wearing a crimson red suit, clean cut but bright as all hell, with gold embroidery. He tends to prefer classic ensembles (although he has fond memories of the 90s) but he can't deny the chance to dress up. Peter hadn't even let Tony buy him a suit. He said he'd rather do something more fun, and had begrudgingly taken Tony's credit card and promised to buy something pretty.

That's what he'd said, once his protests had died. Okay, Mr. Stark. I'll use this to buy something pretty, if that's what you want.

God, Tony is a bad man. He doesn't think about lace or leather at all. He doesn't. Isn't.

"Are you in here trying to end it all? Give the tie a break, mister." Tony startles as hands magically appear before him, pulling the tie out of his grip. To be fair, it looks less like a tie and more like a knot, now. Peter snorts, fingers picking at the mess. "Tell me you have a steamer or something. Can you use steam on silk?"

Tony opens his mouth, blinks, and then shuts it.

There's gold on Peter's eyelids.

Gold. Eyeshadow. Probably. Tony's worn makeup before. Peter has gold eyeshadow, and some dark liner smudged around his eyes. A little concealer. His browns are darker. His lips are glossy, maybe just a balm. Glossy. His lips are glossy. His eyes are gold.

"Yeah." Tony doesn't remember what he was saying, but Peter is just looping the tie around Tony's neck and getting to work.

Tony is the one who taught Peter how to tie a tie. May tried, but Tony is particular. He taught Peter how he likes his ties tied. Not to have Peter tie his ties or anything, but because everyone should know how to dress slick and easy. That's all.

Something pretty. Peter is wearing dark red shot through with gold thread pinstripe and a sheer shirt. Sheer. There isn't much skin to show, with the jacket, but if Tony took his good hand and used all those years of unbuttoning, pushed aside the lapel, he'd see Peter's bare nipple.

Peter smells like Tony's cologne. He probably borrowed some, since Tony's collection is huge. When he tilts his head, Tony smells it on his skin, hot. It's heavier around the cooler, which is open and very visible. Lots of skin. And cologne. Is it hot in here? Where is he right now.

Peter crosses the knot a bit too tight and it jolts Tony back to earth. "You're staring," he says, eyes focused on his hands as they work silk around Tony's neck. His eyes are shiny and gold. Gold. His lashes are long, too. Did he use makeup on them or has Tony just not noticed before.

Tony clears his throat. "No."

Peter makes a small sound of agreement, even though his mouth quirks in that way he does when he doesn't believe a thing a Tony says. "Okay." Over, under, tighten the know. Smooth the silk down the front of Tony's chest.

Tony swallows thickly. "If I was staring, you'd know."

"Okay," Peter says again, slipping the tie into the clip and smoothing it down again. "I wonder if I'd even notice." Tilts his head, even though his eyes are still focused on his hands. Tony is also focused on Peter's hands, because they have stilled and are still on Tony's chest. "You staring, I mean."

"Like I said, you'd know."

"Maybe I'd even mention it to you." Peter looks up now with a secret little smile. "And you'd tell me you weren't, and then where would we be?"

Tony's good hand wants to press Peter in close, but he can't, so he doesn't. Why can't he? He keeps forgetting. It settles on Peter's elbow instead, light and teasing through the jacket. Unintentional, probably. His fingers flit over the seam. Peter doesn't move away. Tony keeps forgetting that he should.

"Are you ready to go?" Peter asks, changing gears, and Tony slumps with either relief or disappointment. Either way, it's the first breath he's taken in a year. "It's almost time for us to be fashionably late."

"Right." Tony wipes a hand over his face and grabs his jacket from the bed. Peter steps close again, helping him drape it nicely over his sling. "Wouldn't want to disappoint anyone."

"You could never. Oh! By the way." Peter is setting the shoulders straight, but then he's pressing closer -- his body a firm line against Tony's back -- and slipping his hands over Tony's chest. "Thanks for something pretty." He kisses Tony's cheek, all mischief, even though his cheeks are blushing red. There's a smear on Tony's skin. Definitely gloss.

When Tony recovers, Peter is already out the door. Tony finds his credit card in his breast pocket when he's hurriedly shoving in the pocket square and trying to follow him out the door.

The door opens to the lab and Happy rushes in.

" I'm here! Whats the emergency?"

" I need you as head of security to call me about an incident - gotta wait for 15 no 24 minutes so its more believable so I won't get yelled at by Pepper. and I need you to.... is that a donuts?

Tony spun around on his lab chair to face Happy while he talked to see the man take a bite.

"Yeah? Wait so you want me to call you during your meeting.... saying there was an emergency that ONLY you can handle and not me as your head of security...."

"Yes but never mind that. Et Tu Brute? Where is my donut?"

"I can go grab you one before your meeting starts?"

" Don't have the time meeting starts in 20 minutes"

"It's just down on the 14th floor?"

"What?! You mean to tell me. That I have a spot in this building that has donuts? When did this happen? And WHY didn't I know about it?"

"3 months ago, you send a memo out saying you wanted a 24hr donut shop in the building that served your favorite coffee. "

"So that wasn't a dream?"

"Tony!"

"Okay take me to this donut shop. They better be good."

"Oh they are, I've had to add an extra 30minutes to my workouts cause I was gaining so much. I don't know how Pete keeps himself so skinny"

"Pete?"

"Peter Parker, he makes the donuts down there"

Want for Nothing by pastself: Peter POV so you have to read between the lines for Tony's side of things, but an EXCELLENT exploration of Tony's various Relationship Insecurities through the lens of the two of them coping with the world's reaction to their relationship. Another absolute fave!

only when I hit the ground by Aisalynn: a lovely look at a post-Endgame Tony who made it out alive but not unscathed, and how that impacts how he approaches his relationships (and his will-they-won't-they dynamic with Peter in particular.) 💖💖💖

Expiration Date by LearnedFoot: perfect execution of "pining while dating"-- Tony thinks their relationship is just a fling on Peter's side, and has a lot of feelings about it.

Another Life by InColor: love a good fic that explores the fallout of common tropes-- resurrected Tony has a hard time integrating back into the living world.

the friendly neighborhood by postelectric: it's less that there's a specific focus on his insecurity here and more that it's just a pitch-perfect Tony Stark so there's a general background atmosphere of gentle self-loathing? AU where Tony ghosts Peter after Homecoming, and they meet again as adults post-EG (that Tony survives, worse for wear.)

Rebuild by tuesday: similar vibes to the above! Post-EG Tony (who lived) and how his relationship with Peter develops over time; another Big Fave.

Starker Discord Server

Hello! I made a post about a week ago searching for an active Starker DC server, but found none. To fix that, we (@zmbiboy and I) created a Starker discord server, Starker Haven, with several channels, bots, roles, etc.

It's still very new & might need some adjusting, because this is our first time creating a discord server, but I've inspired myself from some other discord servers I'm in, and I think it looks pretty okay :)

There is a verification process, but please don't be scared off by it, it's merely: read the rules, react to a message, go to verification, fill out an application form (9 questions) and boom! You're in!

We are an 18+ server (no minors), and stricly proship. We require proof to be let it (one of the questions of the form), which can be anything prooving you're a proshipper dated of at least a month. (No proof requried for your age!)

We'd absolutely love for a lot of people to join, since it's really only us two right now, so for more people to see this, if you could reblog this post, it would be really appreciated <3
