Alice,James Street.February 2017 Sliding down the slope.

I have taken Alices image before and she looked so out of place on the streets (looked any regular Mum) It saddened me to see her especially the detoriatation in her appearance

Note:I have stalled with this project mainly because I'm susceptible to short periods of darkness and seeing these people on the streets did nothing for my positive mental attitude. It hurts me to see the plight of genuine homeless people.They are the window to the uncaring selfish society we live in.

Kristof is orginally from Warsaw and has been in Liverpool six years a homeless alcoholic.

Alcohol is his massive regret and accepts his future is bleak. What I found sad was that I took ten minutes to speak to him and that made his day.Amongst all his other issues he has to face, add loneliness to them something I hadn't considered.

Friday afternoon as giggling hen parties trotted down Dale Street with their only thought to how pissed they can get..yards away up a small lane out of sight is Richard ,homeless and was to put it bluntly a bit ripe..

Even the basics of keeping clean is difficult for him..a dailyritual we all take for granted.It leaves me deflated and angry that in 2016 this is happening amongst us and most people don’t even care which really upsets me.

A chef by trade with no address (fixed abode) he cannot get a job.

On a lighter note he smiled as he informed me my lens cap was still on .. Billy big bollocks the photographer 😀

Heroin.August,2015. Why people tread this path is beyond me no matter how shitty your life,take this road the end game is 'always' the loss of everything. Came across this sad girl shooting up in her leg off a back street near Seel street.

This lady saddened me and it took some courage to say yes to me to take her image as she was embarrased.

Shes not been on the street long ..her nail varnish chipped her clothes clean, Its somebodies wife and mother and shes not a typical character of the streets that I see.

AND ..shes hit the low of begging on the streets. I don't know her story but a women like this feeling that the only way to solve her plight is begging in 2016. How I wish I could grab a shit like George Osbourne (POLITICIAN) and instead of carefully managed visits to drop in centres hes seen swanning about in and spend an hour with me and my camera. He might even find a grain of compassion in his body.

I REALLY hope I never see Alice again and she sorts herself out as I dont want to see her deteriorating.
