According to old Navajo legend, a skinwalker is an evil person/demon who can transform into any type of vicious animal. It sounds more terrifying. You can tell which type of animal is a skinwalker, because this type of animal will look more human. It will also be more aggressive and will smell of decay and death.

It is completely TABOO to be a skinwalker or dwell in this type of magic in Navajo culture. They say that those who do are PURE evil.
