Boosting for those who missed it!
Flowai Family Fun Time (Part 6)
Authors Note: I felt motivated to continue this little story! I want to write more positivity into this because, I'm getting annoyed with Lavender. She's a good villain so far, but a crappy family member. I really hope you all enjoy.
A couple of days had passed and Erica wanted the reunion to be over. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, did her hair, and put on her clothes. Afterwards, she came into the kitchen and noticed that just Ivy and Aislinn were in the kitchen. They were in their pajamas talking and making what appeared to be pancakes.
"I'm just saying a little chocolate sauce wouldn't hurt!" Ivy suggested.
"Well, not to be rude, but a little to you is a lot to everyone!" Aislinn rebuttled.
Erica just stood in the doorway and observed the couple. They looked so cute together, so happy, so...at peace.
"Ok ok ok, Ivy started, Why don't we just make chocolate dippers!
Aislinn rolled her eyes with a smirk. "No!" She sweetly said.
Ivy sighed, he knew that he wasn't going to win this one. He turned to see his little sister.
"Oh Hani, Hi! Ivy greeted. Did you sleep well?"
"Hey!" Erica responded.
Erica thought on Ivy's question. It was only going to be a week, but the thought of constantly seeing two people who be little her was enough to keep her up. It put her in a trance.
"Erica?!" Ivy asked.
Erica snapped back to reality. "Oh! I did!" She responded.
Ivy gave his sister a worried look. It wasn't good for Erica to keep things bottled up. However, he didn't want to keep persisting on.
"Erica! Aislinn interrupted, Try these pancakes, do they taste ok?!"
Erica immediately backed up.
Aislinn's face fell. Did she make Erica upset? Did Erica not like her? Was it weird to shove food in someone's face like that? It was so many possibilities on how she could of messed up.
Erica noticed Aislinn's face and then reassured her. "Oh, they look nice, but I can't eat those because I'm a vegan."
Aislinn blinked and smiled embarrassed. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know about that."
"Don't worry sis, we'll make you some oatmeal with that almond milk instead." Ivy noted.
Just then Yarrow came up the stairs. He was completely worn with hickeys on his neck.
"Is someone making pancakes?" He asked still drowsy.
"Yea, Ivy responded, What the hell happened to you?"
"Heh, well Rye, Eris and I..."
Yarrow then noticed his sister still in the doorframe. He immediately straightened himself up and "childproofed" the rest of his sentence.
"...had some fun!" He concluded.
Ivy then glared at him.
"IS THAT WHAT THAT NOISE WAS?! Ivy growled. ME AND AISLINN COULD BEARLY SLEEP!!!!"
Erica giggled at her brothers. Sure, she had no idea what the true problem was, but it was still funny how they would argue. She soon excused herself to the living room.
She soon passed the altar in all its glory. The statues of Isis, Delphinia, and Bluebell staring at her as she stared at them. Erica found herself approaching the three mini women. Soon she picked up the Delphinia figure and stared at her. It was a intense staring contest but for some reason, Erica felt like the little lady was going to tell her something. Just as she thought Delphinia was going to say something, Erica felt a tap on her shoulder.
It was Aislinn.
Erica jumped but she made sure Delphinia wasn't broken. She would of never hear the end of it.
Aislinn then spoke up. "Listen, I just want to apologize. I shouldn't had shoved food in your face like that."
"Oh no no! Erica reassured, Its ok, you didn't know, but it was actually really nice you two decided to cook for us!"
Aislinn smiled.
Erica then turned to Aislinn. "Hey Aislinn?" She asked.
"Y-yes Erica?" Aislinn answered.
"What drew you to my brother?"
Aislinn blushed. She should of known that this question would come up eventually.
"Well...I guess it was his determination, She answered, Ivy is always fighting for what's right in the court room no matter the cost. He doesn't care if he wins or looses. If its right, he'll find a way to fight for it. That's something I can appreciate in a person."
Erica was amazed but not surprised. Ever since her and her siblings were little, Ivy was always fighting for right people. Whether it was fighting against bullies, scammers, or even bad teachers, Ivy seemed to fight against it. Erica even remembered Ivy calling out Lavender when she was clearly in the wrong.
Erica started to giggle at that.
Aislinn noticed and then asked, "What's wrong?"
"Oh it nothing, Erica noted, I'm just really glad you two are happy together."
Erica honestly needed this laugh. After the hell she went through yesterday, it felt good to laugh.
Erica's laugh seemed to be contagious because soon Aislinn started giggling too. It was a blissful moment.
Later on, the same formula from yesterday conversed. All the relatives came over and did their own thing. Caleb and Erica were at the picnic table chatting with Mackenzie when Sorrel, Sloane and...of course, Lavender walked by.
Oh Hell...
Lavender looked Erica up and down then smirked. "Say Hani, she asked, Have you started using the stuff I gave you?"
"N-no!" Erica responded.
"Pffft...still with that little Holier Than Thou Christian phase yeah? When are you going to grow up and join the rest of us?"
Erica looked down. She really couldn't believe how belittling and mean Lavender was. She could of at least of waited until they were alone so it wouldn't be so embarrassing!
Just then someone spoke up.
"That's very mean of you to say!" The voice exclaimed. The voice was revealed to be Sloane.
"Excuse me?" Lavender said.
"Um...Well...,Sloane stuttered, Erica is old enough to have a conformation of faith no? Its her decision, so...maybe she's happy like that and...you should just a-accept it!"
Lavender had a disgusted look. Erica and the others had looks of amazement, shock, and approval. Lavender shook her head and composed herself before something offensive came out.
"Look honey, Lavender threatened, I see Sorrel hasn't given you the rundown of our traditions, so I suggest you stay out it!"
Lavender walked pass the group then stopped to turn again to Sloane.
"Points for bravery though!" She smirked.
After Lavender left, Sorrel looked at Sloane. Sloane was a blushing mess.
"Babe...That was AMAZING!!!" Sorrel praised.
"Uh...Well, I don't know what came over me, I just..." Sloane started to say but was interrupted by Erica.
"Thank you Ms. Sloane! I really needed that." Erica thanked.
Sloane smiled. It was nice to feel confident and try to put someone who was wrong in their place.
Erica returned the smile. It was nice to have some people on her side.
Just then the sound of a bell alerted everyone in the back. It was Erica's mother.
"Alright Everyone! She alerted, It's dinner time! Lets go, wash yall hands and lets eat!!
As everyone was heading in the house, Erica approached her mother. "Mom...are the adults going to be in kitchen and the kids are going to be outside?" She asked.
"Uh Erica, Erica's mother answered, Everyone's eating in the living room, there are things we all need to discuss."

Flowai Family Fun Time (Part 5)
Authors Note: I wanted to write another part to this story. I'm trying my best to write more evil-like characters rather than just good ones. I also want to give a trigger warning for dark-words and basically shit-talking! For now, enjoy!
Caleb looked at Erica. Sure Erica had that same smile on her face but he could tell that something was a little off. Before he had the chance to say anything, Erica began pulling his hand into the sunny backyard.
Erica whimsically pulled Caleb to her cousins Senna and Sorrel, who both were drinking a glass of iced strawberry mint tea. The women were looking over the little garden that began to bloom in the corner. Erica decided to break the silence.
Sorrel, Senna! Erica greeted, You guys are looking well! Do you like my mom's garden?"
"Oh its lovely! Senna responded, Auntie Alice always did have a green thumb."
"She's probably using these for the altar. Sorrel noted, Auntie did always say the best offerings are the freshest!"
Erica hummed. "Oh by the way, have you two met my boyfriend Caleb?"
The women looked at Caleb. However, instead of intimidating glares. The women instead looked at him with more calm and accepting looks.
"Seems about right." Sorrel joked.
"Huh?" Erica questioned.
"I mean look at him you two both give off similar vibes. So either he was your boyfriend or a boy you "barrowed" from that church you go to."
Senna soon jumped in.
"At least he's an upgrade from that girl you used to like...what was her name again? Ava Cunnhaum?" She asked.
'Uh...uh...Ava Cunningham..." Erica answered blushing, obviously embarrassed over an old crush.
Caleb giggled. He started to remember the story about Ava after he and their friends helped Erica come out of the closet.
"Anyways, Senna said, Just make sure you take good care of her, ok?"
"Yes mam!" Caleb responded.
Erica and Caleb said goodbye and went over to Mackenzie, who was eating a hotdog and playing on her phone alone near the back door.
"Hey Mackenzie!" Erica opened.
"Oh hey cuz, Mackenzie greeted, Who's that?"
"Oh, this is my boyfriend Caleb! I thought he could come over and participate in the family reunion."
"Geez Erica, don't you think its hella early?"
"Caleb and I have been dating since sophomore year."
Mackenzie blinked, then smiled.
"Well, at least you knew who to choose from the gecko, Rosary took FOREVER, to get a partner." Mackenzie snickered as she placed her plate down.
Erica looked at Rosary. Rosary was talking to Lavender and the two seemed to be having a good conversation. Rosary turned to Erica's eyes on her. Rosary glared and turned back around. Erica felt a little sad.
Mackenzie placed her hand on Erica's shoulder.
"Look, I know Rosary is kinda...bitchy...but trust she's-" Mackenzie started to say but was soon interrupted by Yarrow.
"Mackenzie! Don't leave your trash around! It attracts critters and bugs!" Yarrow fussed.
Mackenzie sighed and took the plate back. As she was walking towards the garbage can, Mackenzie turned towards the couple.
"Let me know if you need to talk." She said.
Erica nodded and took Caleb to sit on the bench. It was best not to talk to either Lavender or Rosary.
"So are you having fun?" Erica asked with a big smile on her face.
"Yeah...but are you ok?" Caleb responded.
Erica sighed and responded cheerfully. "I'm fine! Hey, let me get us some strawberry tea!"
Erica gleefully went to get the tea. Unfortunately, it was near Lavender and Rosary. Rosary and Lavender was snickering about something and Erica couldn't help but listen as she poured the tea.
"I think your wasting your time Lavender, Rosary said, You know she isn't going to use that stuff."
"Tch, Lavender responded, Please, you know she's only doing this for attention, just trying to be different. She'll come around and realize how important tradition is."
"You think it's because of what happened to her daddy? Or could it because she and her siblings are...ya know?"
"Mixed? Probably, but I mean come on, look at what happened with Ivy and then Yarrow barely gives a shit. I know Delphinia is pissed off with those three!"
"Can't be me Lavender, I make sure to ensure my heritage!"
"And I appreciate that, maybe you can influence Erica can do the same? I mean at this rate...she's just embarrassing herself."
As the women kept gossiping, tears began forming in Erica's eyes. How could her own family talk about her like this? It was disrespectful and in her own house? Looking at the women made Erica not realize that she overfilled the cup she had. Erica jumped as the tea hit her dress and she quickly placed the cup and pitcher down. Erica went pass Caleb and went straight to the bathroom. Caleb noticed and went in after her.
Once Erica went into the bathroom, she leaned on the sink and the tears burst out her face. A long await cry was finally freed from her heart. Once she looked up at herself in the mirror. Drool and snot were on her face. It matched the tears that came out of her now red eyes. Erica sighed and finally began to clear her face.
Just then there was a knock on the door. It was Caleb.
"Erica...Caleb asked, Are you ok?"
Caleb was worried, he knew something was completely wrong and he need to be there for his girlfriend.
"O-Oh yeah! One second!" Erica replied.
Erica came out the bathroom with a brand new face. She was clear of any physical sadness and a dawned a brand new smile. It had to be magic on how quickly she changed.
"Erica?" Caleb asked.
"Yes?!" Erica responded.
Caleb was about to respond but was soon interrupted by Ivy.
"Caleb...its getting kinda late, I think its time for you to go home." Ivy noted.
Caleb checked his watch, it was almost seven. "Oh dude you're right, I should go." He said.
"Wait, I'll walk you to the door!" Erica stated.
As they got to the door Caleb looked at Erica again.
"Erica...are you sure that you're ok?" Caleb asked.
"Yeah...yeah, Erica answered, You're coming tomorrow right?"
"Y...yeah."
"Great! I'll see you tomorrow!"
Erica gave Caleb a quick kiss and watched as he drove home. Erica sighed in relief but Ivy soon put a hand on her shoulder.
"Are you ok, Hanako?" Ivy asked in Japanese.
"No, not really..." Erica answered back in Japanese.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No...I'll get over it...go enjoy the company, I'll be fine..."
"Nah, its too crowded, I'll just stay in the front with you for now..."
"...Thank you big brother..."
Erica and her brother looked up at the sunset. While one day was drawing to a close. She still had to dread the rest of the week. She didn't want to show her true emotions and ruin the reunion, but still...there's so much one can take.
Authors Note: Wow, that was...a lot. Again, I wanted to have Lavender and Rosary fill more villain-like roles. I don't want to spoil anything but I do plan for this story to have a happy ending!

Flowai Family Fun Time!! (Part 4)
Author’s Note: Hi everyone! I’m doing ok. Im doing better one day at a time and I still want to keep going with this story. Enjoy!
Erica started to sweat internally. She knew Lavender was coming but she didn't think it would be this soon. As Lavender started to approach the two women, Erica started to freak out. I mean, what could she want now. However, Erica tried to stand her ground as much as she could. Even if her legs were shaking.
"Bluebell and Delphinia were the staples of the Flowaiain tribe! Lavender informed, Bluebell represents our strength and Delphinia represents our spirituality."
Lavender looked directly at Erica when she said that. Those piercing brown eyes were not welcoming. Erica could feel the shame as much as the sweat on her back. Luckily, Erica's mom broke the interaction.
"Lavender! Erica's mom exclaimed, We're so happy you made it!"
"Well auntie! Lavender responded, You know I just have to show up to family events. I even brought gifts for the women!"
Lavender soon passed out gifts to the female family members; To Erica's mother a set of candles, To Sorrel a journal, and To Nadia a set of sketchbooks. Finally, it was time that Erica received her gift. It was in a red party bag.
The items included were: Little statues of Bluebell, Delphinia and Isis, a pink cloth, white candles, tarot cards, and finally a small book titled "Witchcraft for Newbies".
Erica cringed on the inside. She clearly told Lavender about her beliefs but apparently it just went out one ear through the other. Lavender was persistent, but Erica stayed polite.
"T...Thank you Lavender." Erica said slightly irritated.
"Oh no problem Hani!, Lavender stated, After all, you'll be an adult soon, and then finally leave that..."Christian" phase! I just wanted to give you a head start for your altar!"
The way Lavender said that was cruel and heartless. It almost made Erica cry, but she held it together.
Caleb came up to Erica and held her hand. He also gave a welcoming smile.
"Hey Erica, what did you get?" Caleb asked.
Erica blinked, then answered. "Just some thing for a altar."
Lavender soon noticed the pair holding hands.
"Hani, you never told me you had a boyfriend?!" Lavender noted.
"Oh yeah, Lavender this is Caleb." Erica introduced.
Lavender looked Caleb up and down. Then she crossed her arms and gave a stern face.
"Well he's exceptional, I'll give you that, Lavender stated, Hope your not afraid of witchcraft boy."
"No mam, In fact I don't really-" Caleb started to say but was soon interrupted by a slight punch in the arm by Erica's brother Ivy.
"Really what?"
"He said that he really doesn't find the concept of witchcraft scary!" Ivy lied.
"Hmm." Lavender smirked.
Erica's mother came over and escorted Lavender to the kitchen, turning and giving a nod and wink to her eldest son.
Ivy soon turned to Caleb and Erica and placed a hand on Caleb's shoulder.
"Look my dude , Ivy whispered, I don't know nor care about your religious preferences, but word of advice, don't disrespect witchcraft around this family, they take that shit seriously, I know from experience."
"Really?" Caleb asked confused.
"Yeah, if you think it's uncomfortable now because of Erica's Christianity, you should of seen how pissed Lavender was when I said I was a atheist."
Caleb was shocked. Not at the fact that Ivy was a non-believer but on how low-key mean Lavender was. He thought she was kind of a bitch.
Erica's mom soon came back into the living room. She smiled and took the bag from Erica's hands.
"Don't worry, I'll put these in our room. I'll keep the figurines and sell the other stuff when Lavender leaves." Erica's mom said with a wink.
Erica smiled, at least she had the support of her family and Caleb.
Caleb then looked at Erica, with another confused look. "Wait, Erica why does Lavender call you "Hani?" He asked.
Erica and Ivy looked at each other. Erica sighed and answered. "That's because my-"
Soon there was a knock on the door. Yarrow went to go answer it. It was the final guests. A black man with his two daughters. The daughters looked like complete opposites. One was more grunge with blue hair. That was Mackenzie. The other was more girly and pink. That was Rosary.
"Aye, what's good Uncle Dave!" Yarrow exclaimed leaning in for a dap.
Dave just glared at him. "That $20 you owe me from three years ago is good boy!" He responded.
Yarrow cringed in embarrassment and let the trio inside. Erica's mom soon went over to hug Dave and the two girls.
"Dave, Rosary, Mackenzie! How are you?" Erica's mom asked.
"I've been good auntie!" Rosary responded.
"Erica, Ivy come give your cousins a hug!"
The girls both hugged Ivy like a normal family member would. However, when it came to Erica only Mackenzie gave her a decent hug. Rosary, on the other hand, gave her a rough side hug. It was like she was trying to shove her out the way.
Erica was taken aback, but then she remembered why Rosary did that.
Caleb then came up to Erica again and held her hand. "Sheesh, what's her problem?" He asked.
"Oh, she's probably just cranky!" Erica shrugged laughing.
She soon tightened the grasped. "Lets go! We can mingle with the family now that everyone's here!"
Erica tried to keep it together.
Author’s Note: I’m trying to write characters that would make me uncomfortable. I think it’s ok so far but, I’ll see as it progresses…

Flowai Family Fun Time!!(Part 3)
Authors Note: Hi Everyone. I want to apologize for being gone for a minute and not updating this story as much. I don't really like sharing family business on my social media but I had lost my older brother who was my only sibling. This really hurts because I lost my dad a few years prior. I was depressed and decided to take some time off to comfort my mother and not to stress myself out. The funeral was a few days ago. While I'm still bummed about it, I have gotten to a point where I can start creating again. Thank you for your understanding.
That Monday...
That Monday had finally came...
Erica plastered on that same joyous smile she would always wear but deep down she was depressed. She wanted this week to go smoothly, without any fights, drags, or complications. However, a feeling in her gut felt otherwise.
Erica was just starting to put the potato salad down when there was a knock on the door. Erica was praying it wasn't Lavender or Rosary. Her mind sweated with those thoughts of being berated by her cousins again.
Luckily, her prayers were answered.
It was Caleb! With a bowl in his hands.
Erica smiled real wide and squealed. Caleb actually came!
"Hey Erica! Caleb greeted, I hope you guys don't mind if I brought some pasta salad."
"Oh no! Erica answered, We don't mind."
Erica and Caleb walked into the kitchen and sat the pasta down. Just then Erica's brothers came in.
Both Ivy and Yarrow looked at Caleb with intimidation. The stare was way more than enough to make Caleb tremble with fear. Could you blame him? One was a strict lawyer who could easily sue you out of your possessions if he wanted. The other was a professional thief with a bad attitude who could clear a whole mansion in one night.
"Caleb! Erica exclaimed breaking the horrid mood, I want you to meet my older brothers!"
Yarrow then bent down, hands in his bulging pockets, returning the dark vibe that trailed before. Caleb was sweating bullets.
"So you're the little boy my sisters been blabbering about eh?" Yarrow threatened.
"Y...y...yes sir!" Caleb answered in fear.
Yarrow started to move his hands out of his pockets. This made Caleb sweat even more! Caleb was about to embrace the possible fist to the face when instead he was greeted to a handshake.
"Well?" Yarrow said.
Caleb was perplexed but took his hand and went for the shake. He thought he was going to dead for sure.
"Yarrow, Ivy sighed, You can't just up and scare folks like that!"
It was then Ivy's turn to give a handshake.
"Sorry about that! I'm Ivy and this is my younger and very childish brother Yarrow..." Ivy greeted with a smile.
"N...nice to meet you guys." Caleb greeted back.
"God, you're so polite, Yarrow groaned, No wonder my sister likes you so much."
Just then Erica's parents came in to the kitchen.
"Caleb! Welcome to our home!" Erica's mom greeted.
"Well thanks for having me over Mrs. Vine, Caleb responded, I can't wait to meet Erica's family!"
Erica liked how optimistic Caleb was but she was still worried. She loved everything about Caleb but some of those qualities her extended family will not enjoy.
A knock on the door broke her out of that trance.
Oh boy.
Showtime.
Erica's mom gleefully went towards the door to open it. In the frame were three women. One was plump with blonde hair but black roots. She had an flower-city aesthetic and a face that screamed "confident". Next to her was another bigger woman but she had much shorter and fully black hair, She was adorned with a few tattoos and piercings. Compared to the women next to her her outfit was dark and monochromatic. Finally, the woman next to her wore summer like colors and looked like she should be on a billboard for a California Suburb.
Senna, Sorrel, and Nadia Park.
"Ladies you made it!" Erica's mom announced.
"Its nice to see you Auntie Alice!" Senna stated.
The women hugged their aunt one by one. Soon Yarrow peeped out the kitchen. His eyes lighting up and smile growing bigger.
"COUSIN!!!" Yarrow yelled.
Sorrel turned towards his direction. She repeated the same expressions as Yarrow.
"COUSIN!!!" Sorrel yelled back.
The two immediately embraced and hugged like there was no tomorrow. It almost looked like they were actually siblings rather than cousins. They finally broke apart.
"How have you been man! You still with Rye and Eris?" Sorrel asked.
"Hell yea, Yarrow boasted, You still with Sloane, Damien, Hayden, and Khan?"
"You know it! In fact, Sloane is getting out of the car now! Sloane come say "Hi" to my family!"
Just then a woman shyly came up the walkway. She wore a nerdy yet chic outfit which was matched with a small smile.
"H...Hi, I'm Sloane..." Sloane introduced herself.
Just then Sorrel gave Sloane a BIG pat on a back. It was so loud that the birds in the tree heard it.
"Isn't she just the cutest?!" Sorrel boasted.
Sloane winced from the pain. She knew Sorrel didn't mean too, but the problem was that she was very heavy handed. Force of habit for her.
While Sorrel continued to run her mouth Sloane began to walk around the living room. Taking in the studious yet mystical aesthetic of the interior around her. She soon stumbled on a very particular altar located in the corner of the living room.
The alter had a beautiful gold and red cloth. Adorned with beautiful flowers, figs, nuts and some incense sticks that smelled like frankincense. A few white candles also stood at the alter. A golden statue of the goddess Isis stood in the middle. Finally, there were a couple of feminine statues on the alter.
Erica noticed Sloane's curiosity and decided to join her. Sloane seemed like a good person to hang out around. Very quiet and she had a very welcoming face. Sloane soon noticed the young girl next to her.
"Who are these people, if you don't mind me asking?" Sloane asked.
Erica was just about to answer with a smile, but was soon interrupted by the voice she hated to hear.
"That's Bluebell and Delphinia, our greatest ancestors..." The voiced answered.
Erica turned around to her greatest rival. The woman looked as though she was the polar opposite of Erica. She wore a black, chic and sexy dress. Her nails were as sharp as a tigress. Finally, her face was young but mature in expression.
Lavender Park
Author's Note: Once again I thank you all for your understanding. I'm still interested in making this story and do plan on updating it more. It may be slower but I still want to do it. My mother and I are doing better but it still hurts. Just do me a favor and cherish your family. Thank you!
