i don't normally associate albums with points in my life but the two exceptions are the b sides to saintmotelevision and the option by good morning and ironically enough, both of them have to do with the ocean.

saintmotelevisions b sides reminds me of a scuba diving trip i went on. it reminds me of a lingering salty taste in my mouth before i went to sleep, solving riddles no one else could solve in the early morning, and sneaking onto the top deck with my friends who had also gone to look at a night sky that seemed entirely and utterly endless. i can't remember a time i'd ever seen so many stars

the option reminds me of a week long trip to this hotel by the beach. it reminds me of grey cloudy mornings that were perfect for walks on the shoreline, toeing at the sand and the water by myself while looking for seashells i'd put back before i left, and the orange creamscicle milkshake from the burger place about half a mile away that i ate with a spoon and made my hands all sticky. it was the first year in a very long time i truly enjoyed going to the beach

#listened to (parts of) the option today. i still remember that trip.#srb

#.somethingagianstdogs #car seat headrest #.comments #i Did watch this when it dropped and i was Also miffed abt it getting a 6 #i don't take fantano(or any other music reviewer tbh)'s reviews very seriously; i know what i like and why i like it #and he did have a couple complaints i thought were reasonable #but most of the complaints he had seemed Very subjective and like he was trying too hard to compare it to other more widely beloved artists #with vaguely similar sounds #and it seems we continue the streak of him not liking songs that i love (since he also wasn't a fan of giddy up by ginger ro ot #which is one of my all tome fav gr songs)#anyhow. i give his review a strong 4 #personally it's not my fav csh album but i appreciate what it's trying to do and there r def a lot of tracks off it i think r bangers #going by fantano scoring i'd personally give it a strong 7/light 8
