INSIDE THE MYB #myJULY WORKOUT CHALLENGE: the @mered19 edition!

According to her blog, Is This Thing On @ www.mcgfamily4.blogspot.com, Meredith, a wife, mother and runner is rocking her MYB workouts and feeling the awesome benefits of her hard work! As we kick off this month’s #myJULY MYB WORKOUT CHALLENGE, we checked in with Meredith to see how she maintains her motivation all month long and how it benefits her in other parts of her life. Answers below!

What motivates you to MYB?

Aside from setting a good example for my kids (& husband), I truly feel motivated by other bloggers who started out just like me, and have excelled in the fitness and running world. It’s the extra push I need, to see all kinds of people from different walks of life working out to be healthy! If they can do it, I can too!

What’s your favorite way to workout/get your sweat on?

My forte used to be lifting heavy weights, but since having kids and not as much time, I have taken up running and doing workout videos at home! And now, I’m training for my first half marathon—something I never ever thought I’d do!

3) How does fitness empower you to achieve in other aspects of your life?

I think for me it’s feeling confident in my own skin. Not only knowing that I’m taking good care of my health, but to be able to wear certain things that I haven’t in YEARS (like shorts, and then a bikini!) & not feeling embarrassed bc I have been working HARD for my body, and I’m owning every drop of sweat that’s fallen from me skin. Even if I may not have the picture perfect body, I still have learned to love it- something that I’ve not done before!

MYBtank: Siobhan in Charlotte, NC edition!

Check out one of my longtime workout buddies, Siobhan, in Charlotte, NC. We go ALL the way back to middle school and high school soccer where we rocked as co-captains and kicked some serious soccer booty! Today Siobhan is still rocking her MYB style by running all kinds of races, going hardcore in Crossfit and being a super sporty mom with her (not surprisingly) super athletic son, Justice. MYB loves you Siobhan!

MYBgear: Beth in Spain edition!!

Hi lady! Just wanted to share a few pics of some myb love from Spain this morning. We hiked up to the fort/castle in this medieval town we are staying in (Begur), took in the views and got our sweat on! Sorry for the SUPER awkward yoga pose - tried to sacrifice form for "branding" but got #superawkwardyogaphotos instead. Feel free to post any of these (or not :)
