In 134 AC Rhagery Targaryen and Aemond Targaryen secretly married in the way of their ancestors. The Valyrian wedding was not how the ceremony is known to be, but for the two of them, for now, that did not matter. They were bound together as one. And each knew there was nothing that could ever tear them apart.

On Dragon Island (A place Rhagerys discovered)

Rhagerys and Aemond stood on the beach. Both were clad in black.

'Dragons breaking free, never to be chained again.'

Aemond thought to the words Helaena had idly said to him a moon's turn ago. They meant nothing then. But looking up into Rhagerys's eyes, they meant everything now.

Rhagerys held a piece of dragonglass in his hand. He raised it up towards Aemond's lip. He hesitated in moving it closer.

Aemond gave Rhagerys a light nod of the head. “Do it.” He encouraged.

Rhagerys pressed the dragonglass to Aemond's bottom lip. He slowly but with a delicate firmness slide the dragonglass down. A vertical cut formed upon Aemond's lip. The blood quickly rose to the surface and started to bead onto his lip. “Here, my love.” Rhagerys handed the dragonglass to Aemond.

Aemond took the dragonglass. He reached up toward Rhagery's bottom lip and mimicked the actions Rhagerys had done just moments before. The same place, the same cut, the same amount of blood started to appear. Aemond dropped the dragonglass to the sand. He reached up to take Rhagerys's face into his hands. With a fervent need he pulled Rhagerys down to kiss him. To mix their blood together. To bind them forever. He broke off the kiss and licked his lips. Rhagerys did the same. Aemond tasted his blood, he tasted Rhagerys's blood. His husband's blood. Aemond gave a smile at that thought. “We are now bonded, forever, my knight.” Aemond leaned up and gave Rhagerys another kiss. “My love.” Another kiss upon Rhagerys's lips. “My husband.”

Rhagerys broke off the kiss this time. He leaned his forehead upon Aemond's. “Nothing, nothing, will ever tear us apart. We are tied together to the end of our days, my dragon.” Rhagerys moved his head and gave Aemond a kiss upon his forehead. “My love.” He moved down and gave Aemond a deep kiss upon the lips. “My husband.”

Aemond clutched onto Rhagerys's shoulders as if he were to let him go all of this would be snatched away from him. “Our fire will burn all that stand in our way.” Aemond's one eye blazed with the fire that each had burning within them.

Rhagerys lifted his hands up and gently cupped Aemond's face in them. “Our fire will burn all that stand in our way.” He recited back.

“The gods themselves would not dare rip me away from you.” Aemond stated in the common tongue.

Rhagerys moved his hands from Aemond's face. “From this moment on we are one. Our souls are intertwined to the end of our days.” He embraced Aemond into a strong hug.

Aemond stiffened but just as quickly relaxed into the feeling of Rhagerys holding him. He relaxed into the feeling of being held. He relaxed into the feeling of being safe and wanted. “My love,” Aemond began. Rhagerys immediately stopped the embrace and moved Aemond away from him. The look on his face made Aemond smile. He saw that Rhagerys thought Aemond did not want the hug. “You are fine,” Aemond shook his head as he smiled.

Rhagerys got a look of worry on his face. “Then what is it?” He was ready to do whatever Aemond needed.

Aemond reached up his right hand to Rhagerys's check. He could feel Rhagerys lean into the touch. He started to lightly stroke it. “Make me yours, fully.”

A gentle smile appeared on Rhagerys's face. “I will do so, most ardently.” With no warning, Rhagerys took a step back. He effortlessly lifted Aemond up into his arms. A slight yelp escaped Aemond's lips at the sudden feeling of being picked up. Rhagerys had Aemond in the bridal style as he started to carry him from the beach back to the forest. Back to the cottage. Rhagerys gave a quick kiss upon Aemond's forehead. “My husband.”

Aemond wrapped his right arm around Rhagerys's shoulder as he placed his left one upon Rhagerys's chest. He gave a quick kiss to Rhagerys’s cheek. Aemond then nestled his head into Rhagerys's chest and closed his eye. “My husband.” Aemond echoed.

“But after this, I’m never going to be the same.”
