[021012] Hanbok Photo of the Day
I found this picture while browsing for some materials about the history of House of Yi. Couldn't help staring at the sweet pastel colored Hanbok, especially the pink 치마 (read: chima). Think I'm gonna start posting Hanbok photos from today on.. enjoy! :)

[Event] Princess Deokhye Book Discussion
Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) and Media Indonesia holds a book discussion event entitled, Obrolan Pembaca Media Indonesia: Princess Deokhye. The event will be held tomorrow at KCCI building, from 14.00 until 17.00 PM.
I will attend the event tomorrow and now am so excited about it. It's been a long time since the last time I visited that cultural center and I miss it a lot >.< I miss the moments when I made friends with my Korean Learning Classmates, the kind hearted teacher Hong Sonsaengnim, the fun we all had when we made 치, 김밥, and 떡볶이 at 우리 선생님의 집...
Ahh, memories...
Well, so... since I am keen on anything Korea-related, especially the history, culture, and national issues, I registered myself to attend this event. I will visit another bookstore once again in search of this "Princess Deokhye" book. I don't have the book yet now, but I already printed several Google-able materials about the last princess of Joseon Dynasty.
I will let you know about the book discussion tomorrow :)

You must have heard about "Gangnam Style". Everybody seems to have this Korea-imported horse dance fever nowadays. This latest hit from PSY is indeed very popular. From a little kid in Jakarta to Britney Spears in the U.S, everyone suddenly has the urge to learn the moves and dance like, if not the horse, the rapper PSY.
The video I attached on this post was uploaded to Youtube on Monday, 10 September 2012. It looks like it was taken around weekend and was illegally done in Bundaran HI, Jakarta. Around 1,000 people were involved in this flash mob. This entitled "Gangnam Style Flash Mob (Illegal Mob) in Jakarta" video instantly went viral and even became a great topic on Daum, one of the biggest forums in Korea. Wow!
Gaaahhh! >.< How I wish I was there to eye-witness the historical flash mob, hahahaha~ Enjoy the video, anyway :D

The picture above is a red double decker with a touch of Korea, running around in London. I first saw it on the Korea.net website and was quite enchanted by the bus. Maybe because I love red. Maybe because I love Korea. Or maybe because I love them both, hahaha~
Anyway, the double decker is part of the support from Korean Cultural Center in UK (KCCUK) for the Korean team that will participate in London Olympics 2012. The bus will tour around Westminster Palace, Piccadilly Circus, and Trafalgar Square among many popular places in London. I am sure that with the color red and its tagline "All Eyes on Korea", the double decker will gain so many people's attentions.
Aahh, how I wish I were in London! >.<

So yesterday (8 May) was Parents' Day (어버이 날) in Korea. I just knew that many children there bought their parents carnation flowers and give them little presents.
Giving carnation flowers is considered as the expression of love and gratitude. This day is popular among Koreans because they highly respect their parents.
Hmmm, I guess so many florists were happy yesterday.
Anyways, May is basically the family month in Korea. Before Parents' Day, there was Children's Day (어리니 날). The upcoming celebration is Teacher's Day on 15 May.

Checking out my inbox and found out an email from Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI). I thought it's just a regular newsletter from them. How surprised I was to find out that it was not. It said that KCCI will give 10 free tickets for this term's Korean Language Class students! Whoaaaaa!
The lottery for the ticket will be done tomorrow, Monday 23 April 2012 on 5 PM. Everyone is invited to see it directly but the winners will also be announced on KCCI's Facebook, Twitter, and Website.
Very excited to hear this coz I am one of the current term's students. Who knows? *fingers crossed for tomorrow*

Super Show 4 Indonesia is Officially a 3-Day Concert!

If you are Indonesian, happen to be reading this blog, and you turn out to be a dedicated ELF, I'd like to say, "Congratulations! Super Show 4 Indonesia is going to be held in 3 recurring days!"
ELFs here have been waiting like forever for Super Show, but they have to be patient and hope for miracles that the concert would happen. Those who are not really patient go for the nearest country where Super Junior gets on stage and hypnotizes the fans. That's what my friend Dista Dee did a couple months ago in Singapore.
Anyways, this is gonna be the first Super Show in Indonesia. Amazingly, the plot was at first only for a 2-day concert, then changed into a 3-day one. That's because many ELFs didn't get the tickets being sold at Twin Plaza Hotel. Frustrated and disappointed, Indonesian ELFS buzzing all around the internet forums and posting their sadness of not being able to see those oppas live everywhere. The buzz is heard even by international ELFs and those in Korea. The concert promotor approached SM Entertainment and they finally got their hearts to add one more day for Super Show here. Well done, ELFs!
I just wish that the oppas are going to do well since the concert requires very good health and mental condition. Welcome to Indonesia, Super Junior!
