Laby 3rd Line Descriptions
Rusty Child
The excitement of a new environment couldn’t last long. Laby felt something looming over her since she’s left the forest. Her fear had a negative impact on her battles. She was able to defeat her enemies thanks to Nisha’s help, but in the process, she ends up injuring Bellonde. As she watched his wound that wouldn’t heal even after the battle, she felt guilty… and realized the identity of the unsettling feeling that haunted her.
There was no one like her outside of the forest.
Just as she was an outsider in the forest, because her body was strangely light as opposed to the dark forest, she was an outsider even here.
“I am… alone here as well?”
Scared and confused, Laby depended on Nisha, who was the only thing that could offer her solace. Nisha’s always been there for her since her days in the Black Forest.
“Everyone’s different from Laby. But you, Nisha, you will listen to my stories, won’t you?”
She became free from her restraints, and Bellonde was very kind to her, she still could not dispell the distrust she’s held in her heart as it grew stronger, consuming her slowly. She became more and more aware of Nisha’s existence, and closes off her heart, depending solely on Nisha.
Daydreamer
Alone in a foreign place, Laby mustered up the courage to ask for help from people, but the only thing she received from them was hostility.
“I knew it… There’s no one who can help Laby…”
Just as she was about to abandon all hope due to the deepening distrust, she receives unexpected help from a girl. Her sincerity touched Laby, and she decides to have faith in the world outside of the forest one last time.
But that did not last long. Laby felt a pain she previously hasn’t felt before when she saw the girl grieving: The sense of helplessness she felt from watching the girl’s grandfather get dragged away. The despair of knowing that the fragile happiness in the palm of her hand can shatter at any moment…
“Nisha… I am weak, and the world outside of the forest is too much for me. I can’t do this anymore… Please save me…”
When Nisha saw Laby crumbling down in her unstable state, she embraced her. A rest as peaceful as the night absorbed into Laby and Nisha’s voice echoed in the center of the silence:
“I lack the power to help you, but if you can give me your emotions, then they will become my power and I might be able to safeguard you from the things that bring you torment.”
Laby gladly gave Nisha a part of her emotion, who was telling her that she will endure through the pain in her stead. By accepting a part of Laby’s emotion, Nisha became stronger. She used her power of turning illusion into reality to protect Laby, while giving her sweet illusions so that she may escape from the pain that lie in front of her very eyes.
Nisha Labyrinth
“I will create a world where you can be happy, Laby.”
Nisha manifested into a physical form as Laby’s savior, her other half. With her strong determination to protect Laby, she uses the Memory of the Forest and eliminates everything that can be a threat to Laby.
Nisha believed Laby will calm down if she can manage to find their origin. So, she approached the Henir dome that gave off a strangely familiar aura, but the incident in the Henir dome affected the illusion that Nisha prepared for Laby:
The twisted memory was fatal to Laby, who was intoxicated in Nisha’s sweet illusions, and her mind quickly broke down. Nisha realized Laby’s mind can break at any time if her emotions and physical body, passages through which the pain is felt, remained. She made her decision.
“Give me all of the emotions that torment you… so that I can protect you.”
Laby’s emotions reacted to Nisha’s sincerity and flowed into her. Nisha was able to manifest into a human form, now that she was able to contain the source of emotion in herself.
To protect Laby whose existence has grown weaker after handing over all of her emotions, Nisha keeps Laby next to her in the form of a mirror. She will now protect mirror Laby, and promise to create a world just for her, her only friend.
A happy world where she can smile like she did before when she returns to her original form in the far off future
