Hello, I am etaf, a Palestinian living now in Egypt with my family after we managed to escape from Gaza when all our property was destroyed, and we returned from scratch in this life. When we escaped to Egypt, we did not think of anything other than feeling safe from the fear we were facing in Gaza, but unfortunately I did not expect that life would become this difficult, after we left with nothing, no home, no money, no clothes, no family, we are facing something beyond human imagination. When I ask for help, I cry a lot because we are not used to that. We used to live in beautiful palaces, have a job, and a beautiful life, and now we have become nothing!💔

Our source of income was destroyed and the new merchandise was burned. 💔

We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, 💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and Children's needs, rent, education, and other basic living requirements. are becoming harder to afford with rising prices .

📚 Dreams on Hold: Loss of family and loved ones Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢

sun moves his hands away as you pick up your arms and pull his faceplate closer, “you don’t have your makeup on…”

you miss the slight pink tinge growing on his cheeks

as sun pulls your arms down from his face he scoffs, “didn’t realize you were so superficial starlight..” he titters at his own sentence.

you get a bit nervous as he continues holding your arms in his hands, sharp claws starting to bite into your skin. “Sorry just um- weird to see you without it. what’s up?”

he takes a step back and twirls you in a small circle whisking you away from your workstation,” i have a favor to ask star,” another spin. “ could i do your. makeup.” adding a little boop to the nose at the end of his sentence, more of a statement then an ask to you. “costuming as you call it.” you knew it. this was a trap.

you push him away before he can make another spin, reeling back from the little dance he pulled you into. You chuckle nervously, please don’t be mad, please don’t be mad. “ sorry bud. im on the clock, don’t get paid to play dress up. “ taking a couple steps backwards to your old spot “besides don’t you have like 12 dismembered staff bots? why don’t you just umm.. paint on them?” Sun is still standing where you both once were but, his hands are down. Expression flat and unreadable. He grits out a small “it’s not the same.” holy shit one day and you already messed this up. He takes a small step towards you and you flinch back white knuckling your chisel as a desperate weapon.

Sun frowns, rays drooping as he takes in your reaction. he holds his hand out turning the ribbon wrapped around his wrist to the white lily brooch you gave him. “ ᴵ⁻ⁱ ʷᵃ“ he looks away, “I wanted to thank you for this, you have more then a- staff bot friend.” it would be kinda cute if you weren’t absolutely terrified of him.

you fake cough into your fist, “ i would like it” you look over at sun to see he has a wide grin cracking across his faceplate, all previous emotions practically vanished.

“only if you give me time to finish this for moon!” you finish off your sentence with. he cracks a bit at that but nonetheless leaves you to work. for all of 10 seconds before your coffee disappears right as you reach out for it, as he puts it “should have gotten a goods nights sleep instead..”

At first I saw him take to vanity… everyday was something fun and new for the both of us.

When Sun started making modifications to us, like with our eyes and arms, it made me feel strange.

when I finally asked him about it,-

Oh how I burst out laughing, this was the first conversation I had with him in over a year and it was just so silly. At least to me.
