"Trick and Tips : Nz camping"2

“Ewww stinky!!  Let’s shower! .”

The favorite place where I preferred to take a shower is “Swimming pool”. Especially, if I didn’t take a shower many days, it feel so so nicel! Entrance fee is generally around 4-10 nzd. In my opinion, a swimming pool in each city is really great. It is an indoor warm water swimming pool and there is hot jacuzzi bathtub included. It is worth to go there because It is not only you can workout but also can shower as long as you want. Sometime I showered at public bathroom as I-site, park or petrol station. Some places you have to Use a Coin Operated Shower, it cost around 2 nzd for hot shower 7 mins. However, If you able to have cold water then it might not charge you.  In case you really want to save more money… I would suggest.. Go to creek or hot spring lol.. That’s fine, I saw many elder local people shower in hot spring too

“How can I connect the world”

As I mentioned before, Internet here is very expensive but you can find free one in Libraries.  This is what I like in New Zealand. There are libraries in every town. So, when I want to connect the world and have some chitchat, I just drop around a library and charge my electric items in the same time.  It is not only a library, but you also can get free wifi at I-site, some café, subway or even Supermarket like pack and save / new world / warehouse .

.”I’m Hungryyyy… where can I have my food?”

Answer … Up to you! You can go to any restaurant, buying junk food or cooking by own self.  Some Camper van might have a small kitchen inside. For me, I have to go a public park or free campsite and then spread a table out and cook it. It was fine to cook at noon but after sunset, it was freaking cold and all dark. Sometime, I didn’t even know if I ate raw pasta lol.. However, If I am too lazy to cook then just bread and cheese. That’s all!! Easy - peasy

Well, It is so simple and convenient to travel in Nz (but I am not sure if it is comfortable lol) From my experiences, I was staying in Hotel /Motel / Hostel / Airbnb / Couchsurfing (but it is not popular in Nz) / Motorhome / My car / Tent / Free campsite / paid campsite, each place had different feeling and different experience. I think there is no right or wrong. It is about Fun and Happy. Which is convenient for you than just do it.  Just be happy and enjoy what you choose …then your journey is meaningfulness

 “หัวมันแล้วขอกูอาบน้ำเถอะ”

สถานที่ที่กูมักนิยมเลือกไปอาบน้ำมากที่สุด คือสระว่ายน้ำ ยิ่งถ้าไม่ได้อาบมาหลายวันการไปสระว่ายน้ำแม่งโคตรฟิน ค่าใช้บริการอยู่ที่ 4-10 เหรียญต่อครั้ง สระว่ายน้ำของแต่ละเมืองในประเทศนี้แม่งดีมากๆ ส่วนใหญ่เป็นสระน้ำอุ่นในร่ม มีอ่างจากุดชี่น้ำร้อน จ่ายครั้งเดียวคุ้มได้แช่น้ำร้อน ได้อาบน้ำไม่จำกัดเวลา ได้ออกกำลังกายอีกต่างหาก... แต่ในบางครั้งกูเลือกไปอาบตามที่สาธารณะเช่น I-site ,สวนสาธารณะ หรือปั๊มน้ำมันบางแห่งที่มีตู้หยอดเหรียญสำหรับอาบน้ำ ราคาประมาณ 2 เหรียญ สำหรับอาบน้ำอุ่น 7 นาที แต่ถ้าทนต่อความหนาวเย็นได้ มึงก็อาบได้ฟรีๆ กูก็ทนมาแล้วนะ.. เลือดไม่เดินเลยสัด... อ่อ ถ้ามึงอยากประหยัดกว่านี้เชิญลำธารเลยค่ะ... ไปบ่อน้ำร้อนก็ได้นะ กูเห็นอาอี๋ อาเจ๊ก อากง ตาน้ำข้าวมาอาบน้ำกันตรึม....

 “กูเสี้ยนโหยหาอินเตอร์เน็ต”

น่าแปลกที่อินเตอร์เน็ตประเทศนี้มีค่าดั่งทองคำ แต่กลับหาง่ายมากตามห้องสมุด สิ่งหนึ่งที่กูชอบในประเทศแห่งนี้คือ มีห้องสมุดแทบทุกเมือง วันไหนที่ต้องการสื่อสารกับโลกภายนอก เพียงแค่ขับไปเกยใกล้ๆห้องสมุดก็จะได้ใช้อินเตอร์เน็ตฟรีๆ และถือโอกาสชาร์จแบตมือถือ และอุปกรณ์อิเลคทรอนิกต่างๆไปในคราวเดียวกัน (ไม่รู้ทำไมชีวิตกูจะต้องอนาถาหาที่ชาร์จแบตตามจุดต่างๆ) นอกจากห้องสมุด ,I-site, คาเ��่บางแห่ง หรือร้านSub way แล้ว ซุปเปอร์มาร์เกตอย่าง pack and save / new world / warehouse ก็มีฟรีอินเตอร์เน็ตให้ใช้เช่นเดียวกัน

 “หิวแล้ว..แดกที่ไหนดี”

คำตอบ.. มึงมีเงิน มึงจะแดกอะไรและที่ไหนก็ได้ตามใจ แต่ถ้าต้องการประหยัด มึงก็ทำแดกเองค่ะ... จากตอนแรกที่พูดถึงรถนอน ซึ่งบางคันสามารถทำอาหารบนรถได้เลยมันก็ดีไป ส่วนกูต้องไปหาที่จอดรถตามสวนสาธารณะหรือ Free campsite กางโต๊ะ หุงข้าว ต้มผัดแกงทอด หอมอร่อยในพริบตา เช้าๆ เที่ยงๆ บ่ายๆ ไม่เท่าไรอีตอนกลางคืนนี่สิ ทั้งหนาว ทั้งมืด สุกเปล่าไม่รู้แดกๆไป .....แต่ ถ้าขี้เกียจหน่อยก็ซื้อขนมปังแปะชีส อิ่ม....จบ.....

 เห็นไหมว่า.. การเที่ยวในนิวซีแลนด์นี่มันโคตรจะสะดวกและง่าย แต่สบายไหมอีกเรื่อง ส่วนกูลองมาหลายแนว ตั้งแต่พัก Hotel /Motel /  Hostel / Airbnb / Couchsurfing (แต่ไม่ค่อยมีนิยมเท่าไรนักในนิวซีแลนด์) / นอนรถบ้าน / รถธรรมดา / Tent / Free campsite / paid campsite  มันก็ให้ความรู้สึกสนุกและประสบการณ์ที่แตกต่างกันไป ใครถนัดหรือรูปแบบการใช้ชีวิตอย่างไรก็เลือกทำไป ไม่จำเป็นต้องกัดก้อนเกลือกิน หรืออยู่อย่างยาจกขนาดนั้นก็ได้ ขอแค่สนุกและมีความสุขกับสิ่งที่เลือก การเดินทางท่องเที่ยวถึงจะมีความหมายและน่าจดจำ

"Trick and Tips : Nz camping"1

“Where are you going to sleep tonight?”

 Previously, I wrote about a transformer car that backpackers use for camping. WAIT! There is a car, it doesn’t mean you can sleep anywhere in Nz , especially a car without Self-contained sign do not park the car at Self-contained area as well. If no one can see, you are lucky but if the police or people from municipality see you park in restrict area. You will get a ticket and fine 200 nzd for welcome your new day. Well yeah..I got it before! Lol

If you want to know where you can or cannot park, just download Application on your phone. Most of backpackers used “Camper mate” app but I used “Ranker camping nz” and “Camper mate” together. Anyone plan to travel Nz, Download it!! It is very useful. Well, I didn’t get any sponsor, but these app show every necessary information you need for example campsite spot which one is free or paid, where is Self-contained Vehicle Camping Area and other facilities information like toilet, bathroom , Wi-Fi and so on.

I won’t mention about Hotel, Motel and Hostel. Our concept is Budget backpacking so, I would like to talk about “Campsite”. There are ton of campsites in Nz. Campsites were managed by kiwi people, all will have basic facilities such as Kitchen room, Bathroom, Laundry room , internet and socket for charging our electric items (but these facilities might be different quality depend on the owner) . Generally, They will provide spaces for parking a camper car or tent (Power site / Non power site) , Caravan , dorm or private room . I prefer to stay in my luxury car and paid around 7 – 25 nzd per night.

 About campsites were managed by Department of Conservation or Doc. It might pay less (not over 10-12 nzd). While I was traveling with Mr.J(my travel mate), he wanted to stay Free campsite only!! Most of free campsites have nothing unless 1 or 2 long drop toilet and probably have 1 more tap water. Therefore, I must have my important personal bottle which can manual adjust pressure of water (only if you use in vertical way). I used for cleaning head to toe except brush my teeth lol . This item is very important for me. Thank you a bottle , I love you.. However, Some free campsite might have shower room, proper toilet and shelter as well 

“Sleeping in the car” Is it save money? Well, I spent around 200 nzd that is included food, fuel, shower fee and everything in a week. As I told you before, Nz is famous about scenery and essentially , it is free entrance. All we need is our feet and manner to hike and sightseeing. In my opinion, if we can save accommodation cost, that mean we can reduce nearly half of the expenses.

“คืนนี้จะไปนอนกันที่ไหนดี?”  จากตอนก่อนกูได้พูดถึงรถที่เหล่าชาว Backpackers นิยมแปลงสภาพเป็นรถนอนกันไปแล้ว ทว่า!! การมีรถนอนนั้นก็ไม่ได้หมายความว่ามึงจะสามารถไปจอดนอนที่ไหนก็ได้ในประเทศนี้...แม้คนส��ดส่องไม่เยอะ แต่กฎหมายเค้าก็เข้มงวด ยิ่งรถที่ไม่มีสัญลักษณ์ Self-contained แล้วเสือกไปจอดในพื้นที่ของ Self-contained มึงอาจจะโดนตั๋วแปะที่กระจกให้เสียทรัพย์ 200 เหรียญรับอรุณแต่เช้า ถ้าไม่มีคนเห็นก็ดีไป แต่ถ้าตำรวจหรือเทศบาลเมืองมาเห็นเข้าล่ะก็ งานเข้าจ๊ะ.. เพราะกูโดนมาแล้ว (ยังเมาขี้ตาไม่หาย เจอตั๋วไปตื่นเลยกู)

อ้าว....แล้วเราจะรู้ได้ไงว่า ที่ไหนจอดรถนอนได้หรือไม่ได้?? ง่ายๆ.. มึงก็แค่รถขับเข้าไปดู มันมีป้ายบอก!! หรือ.. โหลดแอพ เลยจ๊ะ Backpackersที่นี่ชอบใช้ “Camper mate” แต่ส่วนตัวกูชอบ “Ranker camping nz” เอามันมาใช้คู่ๆกัน มีประโยชน์ฝุดๆ แอพนี้จะบอกเลยว่าที่ไหนมี Free campsite ที่ไหนต้องเสียเงิน จะอาบน้ำได้ตรงไหน น้ำร้อนหรือน้ำเย็น ปวดขี้แล้วห้องน้ำที่ใดใกล้สุด เป็นต้น

กูจะไม่ขอกล่าวถึงโรงแรม โมเทล หรือ โฮสเทล เพื่อให้เข้ากับกรอบการเดินทางสายประหยัด …Campsite ในนิวซีแลนด์มีอยู่มากมายหลายแห่ง Campsite ที่มีการบริหารโดยเอกชน หรือเรียกง่ายๆ เจ้าของคือชาวบ้านแถวนั้นแหละ ส่วนมากจะมีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบครัน อย่างห้องครัว ห้องน้ำ อินเตอร์เน็ต ที่ชาร์จไฟ ใครใคร่ตั้งเต็นท์ นอนรถ นอนใน Caravan ห้องรวม หรือ ห้อง��่วนตัวก็ตามสะดวก คุณภาพมีหลายระดับแล้วแต่การดูแลของเจ้าของ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่กูจะเลือกนอนในรถตัวเอง เรตราคามีตั้งแต่ 10 – 25 เหรียญ เป็นค่าสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก

แต่ไอ้ช่วงที่ประหยัดสัดๆเลยคือ ตอนขับรถเที่ยวกับคันไข่ บักห่านี่..มันเลือกนอนเฉพาะที่เป็น Free campsite เท่านั้น ย้ำว่า ฟรีเท่านั้น.. ซึ่ง Campsite ฟรีๆ เหล่านี้มีการดูแลบริหารโดยหน่วยงานรัฐ Department of Conservation หรือ Doc บางแห่งอาจมีค่าธรรมเนียมเล็กๆน้อยๆ ไม่เกิน 10 – 12 เหรียญ ตามสภาพและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกของสถานที่ เพราะถ้าขึ้นชื่อว่า Free campsite นั่นหมายความว่ามึงอาจจะไม่ได้รับสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกใดๆเลย ไม่มีห้องครัว ไม่มีห้องอาบน้ำ อาจมีห้องส้วมเพียงห้องเดียวเป็นหลุมยาว(Long drop) บางที่อาจมีก๊อกน้ำให้ใช้ ด้วยเหตุนี้กูจึงต้องมีอุปกรณ์เสริมประจำตัวคือ ขวดน้ำ หัวฉีดเทอร์โบที่สามารถปรับระดับความแรงได้หากฉีดจากที่สูงลงสู่ที่ต่ำ ใช้ล้างตั้งแต่หน้า ยันง่ามตีน ขาดขวดนี้ไปเหมือนขาดใจ กูพกมันไปทั่วนิวซีแลนด์ ฟิจิ วานูอาตู อเมริกา ยันกลับมาไทย (ถ้าแปรงฟันก็ใช้ขวดน้ำดื่มแยกต่างหาก เฮ้ย กูไม่ซกมกขนาดนั้น) อย่างไรก็ตาม Free campsite บางแห่งอาจมีห้องอาบน้ำเย็น พื้นที่สำหรับทำอาหาร และฟรีอินเตอร์เน็ต มาทำให้มึงตื่นเต้นได้เช่นเดียวกัน

ถามว่านอนรถประหยัดจริงไหม .. ตอบเลยว่าจริง 1 อาทิตย์ กูจ่ายไปประมาณ 200 เหรียญ ซึ่งรวมค่าอาหาร ค่าน้ำมัน ค่าอาบน้ำ ค่าเที่ยวแล้ว .. อย่างที่เคยบอก สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในนิวซีแลนด์เน้นตีนเดินเป็นหลัก แทบจะไม่ต้องเสียค่าเข้าชมใดๆ ฉะนั้นถ้าประหยัดเรืองที่พักได้ ถือว่าเราลดค่าใช้จ่ายหลักไปเกือบครึ่งเลยทีเดียว...... อ่ะ จบก่อน กูรู้มึงขี้เกียจอ่าน... เดี๋ยวไว้จะมาต่อเรื่องจิปาถะอื่นๆ ตอนหน้า

"Trick and Tips : Nz camping"

Do you want to off road around New Zealand with me?

Well, it is very easy to travel around Nz. There are many long distance buses between towns. Even though it might have once or twice in a day but it is all over Nz. We can buy a bus passes for 6-12 months , hop on-off 15-30 times or buy a single trip as you wish. Some bus company frequently has a promotion 1 nzd ticket too. Damn cheap aye! Anyway, because of kiwi population density is very low, it affect to transportation in town which is very less. Plus some attractive places are so far and difficult to reach unless you want to hitch hike. For these reason, the best choice for backpackers is “Car rental”

Car rental is very popular in big cities. There are many companies and types of car that you can chooses. It is very easy and convenient to drive around Nz. We can use an international driver license or our oversea driver license in English. However, some car rental companies may require an international license or an accurate translation from NZ Transport Agency for non- English speaking countries (meanwhile I can use my oversea driver license a year here without problem… weird)

Moreover, There are Information centers (I-site) where provide an information and a booking service for activities, attractions, accommodation and transport surrounding Nz…. The thing I like particularly about Nz is there is accessible for disability people in attractive places… See….how easy to travel here. Furthermore, most of activities in Nz are Natural sightseeing or trekking hence, If we know tips for traveling in Nz , you can save a lot of money in your pocket…

“Transportation” There are many backpackers bought a car no matter they will stay here short term or long term.(There are many range of price) Some backpackers bought small cars and prefer to stay in tents or hostels. Some backpackers transform a car to be a motor-home and sleep inside. What’s about me? I am crazy in 4WD which have big wheels for adventure. I think it is not a good idea, if I transform my car to be a bedroom and drive to work every day.... Conversely… if I have a car which I can sleep inside, it will be perfect for camping though.

Thus, every time I had traveled, I set plastic containers which are similar height with my back seat behind. I used containers and fold seats as a base and then put an air mattress on top … Yay finally, I got a temporary bed for camping and I can use plastic containers for keeping my camping gear, cloths and other stuffs as well. This temporary bed is not only can set up and use anytime I want but my car also have space and not too heavy for off-road. It is perfect for solo traveler like me!! However, I was traveling and shared this temporary bed with a man who is bigger than me. We were squeezed on this, It were fine! Even this air mattress want to scream and blow up.

Once I traveled with a travel mate by his car. He has a truly small car. He didn’t even take off back seats, and on the other hand, he folded back seats and put base mattress with foam mattress on it. Although it look like a rabbit hole and make me feel like I slept in a coffin but we can sleep!!

I think type of car and how people transform own car, it define their personality. My Japanese friend took off all back seats and left only front seats. She puts a mattress for 1 person on the floor and places a reading table at side. She decorate a car with lights, cute curtain and also plant veggies inside. She made a lot of handmade stuffs in the car. If she puts a Tatami mat, I will think I’m in japan lol

Some of my friends took off back seat and build a base mattress from woods and put a foam mattress on it. They keep personal stuffs and camping gear under a base mattress. All space were used effectively . Someone make a small wardrobe, place a toilet inside and build up a kitchen and sink backside a car. A big van might put more function as a folding bed which can adjust to be a table and seat…. So, cool

Transforming car to be a motor-home is general thing in Nz because We love to sleep in a car lol. Well, I think it is really cool idea and make me want to transform a car like this in my country but Thailand is too hot+humid and there is no campsite provide like here.

As I said before, If you have a car, especially a car with Self-contained sticker then it will be easier for your traveling because you can park a car any free campsite around Nz! By the way, How can we know where can we park overnight and sleep? And How can we shower and eating? … well well.. I will tell you next time..

ขับรถเที่ยวนิวซีแลนด์กับกูไหม....

นิวซีแลนด์เป็นประเทศที่มีรถประจำทางระหว่างเมืองเกือบทุกหนแห่ง แม้มีรอบไม่เยอะแต่ทั่วถึง จะซื้อเป็นแบบเหมารายปี เหมารายครั้ง 15-30 รอบตามใจผู้จอง หรือว่าซื้อเป็นจำนวนครั้งๆก็ตามสะดวก บางทีก็มีโปรโมชั่นตั๋วราคา 1 เหรียญ ถูกสัดๆไปเลย แต่ด้วยประชากรทั้งประเทศที่มีน้อยกว่ากรุงเทพฯครึ่งหนึ่ง สาธารณูปโภคที่จำเป็นต่อชีวิตเช่นรถประจำทางภายในเมืองกลับไม่มี การจะเข้าถึงสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวบางแห่งที่อยู่ลึกลับซับซ้อนจึงเป็นไปได้ยากลำบาก นอกจากจะHitch hike เอา ฉะนั้นทางเลือกหนึ่งอันยอดนิยมที่นักท่องเที่ยวทำกันส่วนมากคือ “การเช่ารถ”

การเช่ารถในนิวซีแลนด์ถือเป็นธุรกิจที่นิยมมากตามเมืองใหญ่ๆ มีทั้งรถเก๋งธรรมดา รถตู้นอน รถบ้านซึ่งมีให้เลือกหลากหลาย การขับรถในนิวซีแลนด์ก็โคตรจะง่าย เพราะเส้นทางสายหลักๆมีอยู่ไม่กี่สาย ไม่มีทางหลง แค่ใช้ใบขับขี่ที่มีภาษาอังกฤษก็สามารถเช่าได้แล้ว แต่ในบางบริษัทอาจบังคับให้มีเอกสารแปลจากทางกรมขนส่งที่นั่น หรือขอดูใบขับขี่สากลจากประเทศที่ไม่ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นหลัก (ในขณะเดียวกันกูใช้ใบขับขี่ไทย ขับรถตัวเองมาเป็นปีๆไม่มีปัญหา)

��ามแต่ละเมืองจะมี I-site เป็น Information center ที่รวบรวมข้อมูลสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว ที่พัก กิจกรรมที่น่าสนใจ บางI-site สามารถจองทัวร์อะไรต่อมิอะไรให้ได้อีกด้วย สิ่งที่กูชอบอย่างหนึ่งคือ สถานที่หลายแห่งในนิวซีแลนด์ค่อนข้างอำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่คนพิการ เห็นไหม...ง่ายฝุดๆ ซึ่งสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่ของประเทศนี้ล้วนเป็นวิวทิวทัศน์ทางธรรมชาติ หรือขั้นกว่าหน่อยคือเดินขึ้นเขา เข้าป่า ไม่ต้องใช้อะไรมากพกแค่ใจที่เหลือไม่เท่าไหร่ เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าเรารู้หลักเดินทางท่องเที่ยวในประเทศนี้แล้วไซร้ประหยัดเงินในกระเป๋าไปได้โข จริงๆนะ

“รถ” มีBackpackersแบบกูจำนวนไม่น้อยที่ซื้อรถใช้ทั้งแบบระยะสั้นและระยะยาว รถที่นี่มีหลายราคา ตั้งแต่ถูกเหี้ยๆ จนถึงแพงหน่อยๆ บางคนนิยมซื้อรถคันเล็กๆและนอนเต็นท์ หรือโฮสเทลเอา บางคนดัดแปลงรถเก๋ง หรือ รถตู้ธรรมดาๆมาเป็นรถนอน .. ส่วนกู.. กูผู้ซึ่งมีความหลงใหลในรถ 4WD ล้อสูงๆ สมบุกสมบัน อีกทั้งยังชอบรับส่งคนไปไหนมาไหนด้วย ฉะนั้นการจะแปลงรถเป็นที่ซุกหัวนอนถาวร เสมือนแบกบ้านไปทำงานทุกวันจึงไม่ใช่ตัวเลือกที่ดีนัก แต่ถ้ากูมีรถที่สามารถนอนได้ มันจะเหมาะกับการแคมป์ปิ้งในนิวซีแลนด์มาก

ด้วยเหตุนี้ทุกครั้งที่ออกเดินทางกูจะใช้กล่องพลาสติกขนาดใหญ่ที่สูงใกล้เคียงกับเบาะหลังเป็นฐานเตียงวางอยู่หลังรถ ถ้ามีพื้นที่ที่ต่างระดับกูจะใช้หนังสือที่แจกฟรีจาก I-site หรือโฟมรองเต๊นท์เสริมความสูงให้มันเท่ากัน จากนั้นปูด้วยเตียงลม แค่นี้กูก็จะได้ที่นอนชั่วคราวแล้ว นอกจากนี้ภายในกล่องพลาสติกกูยังสามารถเก็บอุปกรณ์ทำอาหาร ซอสปรุงรส และเสื้อผ้าข้าวของเครื่องใช้ต่างๆได้อีกด้วย การทำแบบนี้นอกจากรถไม่ต้องแบกรับน้ำหนักมากแล้ว ยังสามารถเดินทางได้หลายๆคนอีกต่างหาก

อย่างไรก็ตามห้องนอนเคลื่อนที่ของกูนี้เหมาะสำหรับ 1 คนกำลังดี เพราะถ้านอนมากกว่านี้ อาจต้องดมจั๊กแร้กันบ้าง แต่จริงๆกูก็เคยนอนกับเพื่อนร่วมเดินทางผู้ชายที่ตัวสูงใหญ่กว่า หรือพี่สาวที่ตัวเล็กกว่ากูมาแล้ว..แม้เตียงลมมันคงอยากระเบิดเต็มทน แต่แม่งเอาอยู่วะ

กูว่ารถแสดงถึงบุคลิกเจ้าของเหมือนกัน อย่างกูมีเพื่อนสาวญี่ปุ่น นางสั่งรื��อเบาะหลังทั้งหมดเหลือแต่เบาะคู่หน้าไว้ และปูฟูกสำหรับหนึ่งคนบนพื้นรถ ด้านข้างวางโต๊ะเขียนหนังสือเตี้ยๆ มีตกแต่งห้อยไฟประดับ ติดผ้าม่านกิ๊บเก๋ งานฝีมือเต็มคันรถ ปลูกผักอีกต่างหาก โอ้โห เจแปนนิสสไตล์ มีความละเอียดลออ สุภาพ ตามนิสัยของนาง ถ้าวางเสื่อทาทามิ นี่กูนึกว่าอยู่ในญี่ปุ่นแล้ว

เพื่อนบางคนรื้อเบาะและทำเตียงไม้ขึ้นมาใหม่ ซื้อฟูกมาวางทับด้านบนอีกที ใต้เตียงเป็นที่เก็บของใช้ส่วนตัว อุปกรณ์แคมป์ปิ้งต่างๆ ทุกอณูของรถจะถูกใช้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ บางคันนี่มีติดตั้งโถส้วม มีตู้เสื้อผ้าเล็กๆ บางคันก็ทำครัวและอ่างล้างจานอยู่ข้างหลัง รถตู้ที่มีขนาดใหญ่อาจทำรถให้มันมีฟังชั่นมากขึ้น โดยเตียงสามารถพับเก็บเป็นที่นั่งได้ และดึงฐานไม้เป็นโต๊ะอาหาร โอ้โห ล้ำได้อีก

การแปลงรถมาทำเป็นบ้านเคลื่อนที่เป็นเรื่องปกติของที่นี่จนกูอยากมาทำที่ไทยบ้างเลย แต่กลัวร้อนตายคารถ .. แม้แต่บักคันไข่ที่ขนาดรถอย่างกับรูหมา มันยังสามารถพับเบาะหลัง วางเตียงไม้และฟูกโง่ๆเป็นที่นอนได้ ถึงพื้นที่นอนจะคับแคบจนทำให้กูรู้สึกเหมือนนอนอยู่ในโลงจำปา แต่แม่งก็นอนได้อ่ะ .....เห็นไหม..การมีรถขับเที่ยวในนิวซีแลนด์ถือว่ามีชัยไปกว่าครึ่ง ยิ่งถ้ารถที่มีแปะสติ๊กเกอร์สัญลักษณ์ Self-contained แล้ว สามารถจอดนอนใน Free campsite หลายแห่งทั่วนิวซีแลนด์ได้อีกด้วย...เริ่ดอ่ะ...ว่าแต่. แล้วจะรู้ได้ยังไงว่าที่ไหนนอนได้ไม่ได้ แล้วมึงจะอาบน้ำ หาไรแดกยังไง อ่ะๆ.. ตอนหน้ากูจะมาบอกนะ

ปล. Self-contained คือรถนอนที่ผ่านมาตรฐานจากทางนิวซีแลนด์ ต้องเป็นรถที่มีระบบการเก็บกักน้ำและจัดการน้ำเสีย ซึ่งต้องไปขอใบอนุญาตมาจากหน่วยงานของที่นั่น เมื่อผ่านการตรวจสอบแล้วเราจะได้สติ๊กเกอร์ Self-contained แปะหลังรถ

Memories

It is time to say goodbye this country truly ( I have no idea when will I come back here again ) Time flies like i just arrived here yesterday (25.11.2015) All memories are here . The beginning of new journey is always start with a farewell. Well, it is good idea that I open this page because I can note all memories as my diary. I think Place Is not that good remembered if there is no one create together ....

Today i would like to write about "nz" that i heard , known , saw on my experience as i can recognize before departure (killing time ...)

1.Internet and Data is fucking expensive as a gold. 2. No free Wifi in most of Hostels. 3. Petrol in north island is cheaper than south island. 4. The best natural highlights is south island but north island is also nice  5. New Zealanders love to walk on bare feet. Even in shopping mall . (why?) 6.There are dark side( prostitute , drugs dealer , gangster) in Nz as well 7. On the other hand ..Nz is also safe place . (people don't like to lock the door , leave a car key on the car , forget a wallet but money still inside.) 8. You can drink tap water even in toilet lol. 9. Women is priority in nz . 10. From no.9 , If a couple were together more than 2 years and they broke up , a guy had to give half of his assets to a women even though they are just bf gf . (a kiwi man told me this ..but I do Not confirm )  11. The nz government will give 500 nzd/week to mother for supporting a child ( number might a bit changed) and that make some kiwi women need babes for money . 12. Nz Welfare is so good . If you are a jobless , the government will take care of you 300 nzd/week and that make some kiwi people are lazy . 13. Minimum rate here is more than USA in some city . 14. All Good fruits is exporting but local people can eat only B grade.  15. Nz can produced a lot of dairy products but It is still expensive in local market . Milk taste like water and meat is not that delicious as nz meat that I had in Thailand . 16. Sausage is really bad taste.  17. You can find Milky way anywhere in Nz . so beautiful. 18. Some people define Maoris are scary and make a lot of problem but Maoris who i met they are so nice , kindness and helpful.  19. It is normal to see people here with tattoo( in every gender and age ) 20.There is no nationality food in Nz. If you ask local people , they will say " fish &chip and pavalova" 21. Lack of medication personnel ( if you work here , you can get PR easily)  22. Easy to hitchhiking (especially in north island )safe and won't be lost ( coz there are few highways )  23. Fixing from earthquake never done in chch ( Maybe it will finish next generation )  24. Second hand cars are so cheap and can buy start from 500 nzd (but maybe that car is 8 hand) 25. From above .. It make a lot of benefit for Nz garage because you have to check and pass WOF every 6 -12 months ) 26. Shops closed at 5 pm (are you hurry?)  27. My best shopping center and night life is countdown and pack & save 28. Nz people are not materialism and fashionistas.  29. hip pop R&b is their taste . 30. Electricity is provided by companies (not goverment ) so they will beating each other or increase price as they want . Dangerous 31. There are libraries every city and i always went there for free wifi.  32. Nz people are homebody .. Prefer to fishing or cycling on holiday .  32. No car = No legs  33. Use a bus is more expensive than driving a car. 34. There is Aurora Australia in nz  35. Sometime you can buy a bus ticket only 1dollars from city to city in north island  36. There is wheelchair access in all tourist or public area.(that's good)  37. It is ethic diversity in nz . ( there are many islanders from Pacific island , South African , Indians , Chinese and WAH group.  38. Love vagina ?.. Don't forget to do vaginal examination for free in health center (Napier )

นับถอยหลังอีกไม่กี่ชั่วโมง ถึงคราวจำจากประเทศราชแห่งนี้จริงๆเสียที (ซึ่งยังไม่รู้ว่าจะได้กลับมาอีกเมื่อไร) เวลาผ่านไปไวเหมือนเพิ่งมาถึงที่นี่เมื่อวาน (25.11.2015) ความทรงจำเกิดขึ้น สุขทุกข์ปะปนกันไป การเริ่มต้นเดินทางครั้งใหม่มักมากับการอำลาบางสิ่ง.. มีเพจนี้ก็ดีเหมือนกัน เป็นเหมือนไดอารี่ที่กูเคยชอบเขียนเมื่อนานแล้วแทนการจดจำ กูว่าสถานที่มันจะไม่น่าจดจำเท่าไร ถ้าไม่มีบุคคลที่ร่วมสร้างความทรงจำอยู่ในนั้น

กูขอบันทึกความทรงจำเกี่ยวกับ Nz ที่กูได้รู้ ได้ยิน ได้เห็นผ่านสายตาและประสบการณ์ส่วนตน เท่าที่คิดได้ทันด่วนเพื่อคาดเวลาก่อนขึ้นเครื่องบิน เป็นการส่งท้ายล่ะกัน.......พี่น้อง...

1.Internet และ Data เป็นอะไรที่แพงสัด มีค่ายิ่งกว่าทอง  2. จากข้อ1 Hostel ส่วนใหญ่จึงไม่มีฟรี WiFi  3. เกาะเหนือน้ำมันถูกกว่าเกาะใต้มาก 4. ไฮไลท์ธรรมชาติส่วนใหญ่อยู่ที่เกาะใต้ (แต่สวยเหมือนกันนั่นแหละ เที่ยวๆไปเหอะมึง) 5. คนที่นี่ชอบเดินตีนเปล่าแ��้แต่ในห้าง (ทำไม?) 6.Nz มีด้านมืดเหมือนทีีอื่นเช่นเดียวกัน ทั้ง ขายตัว ขายยา ดูดกัญชา และแก๊งสเตอร์  7. ในขณะเดียวกันก็เป็นประเทศที่ปลอดภัย คนไม่ชอบล็อกบ้าน เสียบกุญแจรถคาไว้ ลืมกระเป๋าเงินไม่หาย 8. น้ำก็อกแดกได้ ขี้ไม่แตก 9. ประเทศนี้ให้สิทธิ์และความสำคัญแก่ผู้หญิงอย่างเต็มที่ 10. จากข้อเมื่อกี้ หากหญิงใดคบหาดูใจกับชายใดเกิน2ปี และเลิกกัน ชายผู้นั้นต้องแบ่งทรัพย์สินครึ่งหนึ่งให้แก่ฝ่ายหญิง แม้มึงจะมีสถานะแค่แฟน(อันนี้ ผช กีวี่เค้าบอกกูมา ไม่คอนเฟริม)  11. หากผู้หญิงมีบุตร รัฐบาลจะช่วยเหลือจ่ายค่าเลี้ยงดูทั้งแม่และลูก ประมาน 500 เหรียญต่อสัปดาห์ (ตัวเลขอาจคลาดเคลื่อน) แม่งเลยทำให้คนขยันปั๊มลูกเพื่อเอาเงิน 12. สวัสดิการที่นี่ดีสัด ถ้าตกงานรับไปเลยครับ 300 เหรียญต่อสัปดาห์ (เลยเป็นสาเหตุให้คนที่นี่ขี้เกียจ) 13. แรงงานขั้นต่ำที่นีีมากกว่าอเมริกาบางเมือง 14. ผลไม้ เกรดเอส่งนอก คนในประเทศแดกแต่ของเกรดบี 15. ปริมานการผลิต dairy products มีจำนวนมาก แต่ราคากลับแพงสัด รสชาดนมในประเทศเหมือนน้ำเปล่า และ เนื้อไม่อร่อยเหมือนเนื้อย่างนำเข้าจากNzที่แดกในประเทศไทย 16. ไส้กรอกรสชาดแย่สัดๆ (สงสัยต้องส่งซีพีมาเท��น) 17. ทางช้างเผือกหาได้ง่าย ใกล้บ้านคุณ 18. คนเมาลีมักถูกตราหน้าว่าน่ากลัวและเป็นพวกก่อปัญหา แต่เมาลีที่กูเจอ โคตรมีน้ำใจ สุภาพพร้อมช่วยเหลือพวกพ้องเสมอ 19. รอยสักเป็นเรื่องธรรมชาติ เกลื่อนกลาดดาดดื่น เห็นในทุกเพศทุกวัย 20.Nz ไม่มีอาหารประจำชาติ ถ้าถามคนกีวี่อะไรคืออาหารประจำชาติ เขาจะตอบว่า fish &chip และ pavalova  21. ขาดบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ (ใครมาทำงานที่นี่ รับไปเลยครับ PR) 22. โบกรถง่าย(โดยเฉพาะทางเหนือ) ปลอดภัย ไม่มีหลง (ก็มีเส้นทางอยู่แค่นั้น)  23. ความเสียหายจากแผ่นดินไหวที่ chch แม่งซ่อมมากี่ปีก็ซ่อมแบบนั้นแหละ และคงอีกนานกว่าจะเสร็จ 24. รถมือ2ถูกสัด หาได้ในราคาหลัก1หมื่น (ความจริงตอนมึงใช้อาจเป็นรถมือ8) 25. จากข้อเมื่อกี้จึงทำรายได้ให้กับพวกอู่รถมหาศา�� เพราะตามกฎหมายแม่งต้องตรวจเช็คทุก6 เดือน- 1 ปี แล้วแต่ปีของรถ  26. ร้านค้าบ้านมึงปิด 5 โมงเย็น (รีบไปไหน) 27. แหล่ง shopping สถานบันเทิงรื่นเริงยามค่ำคืนของกูคือcountdown และpack & save 28. ผู้คนไม่ค่อยวัตถุนิยม ฟุ้งเฟ้อ แต่งตัวจัด 29.รสนิยมการฟังเพลงของคนส่วนใหญ่ คือ hippop R&b (ไม่ใช่ทางกู) 30. การไฟฟ้าที่นี่ไม่ได้ขึ้นตรงกับรัฐบาล ทุกวันนี้มีบริษัทผลิตไฟฟ้า แข่งขันห่ำหั่นราคา เหมือนเครือข่ายมือถือที่มีอยู่แค่3 บริษัทใหญ่ในNz  31. มีห้องสมุดอยู่ทุกเมือง ซึ่งกูชอบมากและไปหร่อยใช้อินเตอร์เน็ตฟรีอยู่บ่อยๆ 32. คนที่นี่เป็นพวกติดบ้าน วันหยุดตกปลา ปั่นจักรยาน เคยนั่งคุยกับคนทีีนี่...เค้าบอกกูว่า "ออกไปทำไมให้เปลือง นอนปุ๊นอยู่บ้านดีกว่าเยอะ" หรา 32. ชีวิตไร้รถ เหมือนคนไร้ขา 33. นั่งรถประจำทางแพงกว่าขับรถ 34. Nz มี Aurora นะว้อย 35. สามารถหารถทัวร์ข้ามเมืองได้ในราคา1 เหรียญ ( ทางเกาะเหนือ ) 36. สถานทีีท่องเที่ยว และพื้นที่สาธารณะหลายแห่งอำนวยความสะดวกให้สำหรับคนพิการ 37. เป็นประเทศที่มีความหลากหลายทางชาติพันธุ์ (มีชาวเกาะจากแถบทะเลแปซิฟิกทำงานในNz. เป็นจำนวนมาก รวมถึงคนแอฟริกาใต้ อินเดีย จีน และกลุ่มเด็กWAH แบบกู) 38. รักจิ๋ม ตรวจจิ๋มฟรีทีีhealth center in Napier

Hunting Aurora Australis in New Zealand

Aurora Borealis is one of my goals that I want to touch in once of my life. since 8 years ago I have been in China and traveled between China- Russia and I didn't have any chance to see it . so, I told myself that I should see it in somewhere . However , it is too expensive in European country thus, I have a plan to backpacking in Russia for hunting the northern light.... until I came to Nz

I never knew we can see Aurora Australis in Nz . i only heard about Northern light in Iceland , Sweden , Norway , Finland etc.. One day I was talking about my dream and my roommate show me the southern light in Queenstown "I must see it"

"1st hunting " After my WAH visa expired , i extended my visitor visa and heading to Stewart island (some said it is one of the best spot to see Aurora in Nz) I did woofing almost 3 weeks ...this is only for catching the light!!

First 4-5 days on the island .. I didn't have any luck . it was raining and cloudy all the time . I checked aurora forecast everyday until there was one clearly night and geomagnetic storm was 4.7 kp! Shit !!! Im coming auroraaaaa

BUT ! I didn't have a car ! So I asked the owner's son , another woofer and guests go to see together. Unfortunately , it was half moon so, I can't see any green light "1st failure"  (Well, at least i luckily found one kiwi bird at that night .)

"2nd hunting " My sister came to visit me from Thailand . We were driving around Nz .While we were traveling around deep south of south island , It was still bright from the moon and geomagnetic storm was only 2-3 kp ....hopeless .... 2 days later we were in Hokitika ..6kp!! Shit! And I missed it again " 2nd failure "

"3rd hunting " This time is my last chance to see it in Nz because I'm leaving this country soon. I was thinking if there is no chance , forget it and try to see in another country . This time I want to hunt aurora only . i plan to start a trip before - after new moon 2 days which is 24-28 April.

As since I sold my car , so I had to looking for relocate car and travelmate on Facebook and then I found Mr.J Spanish guy who was looking for a travelmate to south island as well. I told him about my hunting dream. He had no plan and felt interested in my plan so, we decided to hunt together for my last trip in Nz

We left Christchurch earlier on 20 April and marked the place where I expected to see Aurora. We started from Lake tekapo and Mt.cook. I always checked the Aurora forecast and hopefully i might get lucky .

On 22nd April , We arrived in Omaru . It was not on my hunting city list . We just only pass here for sleeping and if there is any chance to see , fine... because i supposed to see it around 24-26 April. That night we went out to looking for Blue penguins... But... No luck again

Mr.j : Hey ! Check the forecast .. Any chance now ?  Me : OH Yesss I forgot it . I don't think we can see it today . I just checked at the evening . wait ... ... .... ..... ....... Me : FUCK!!! 6.67kp!!!!

It happened very fast . We stopped what we were doing and drove for the best spot immediately . I imagined that Aurora should look same as pictures so, I really have no idea how it look like. I try to see at south and then saw something strong glowing and dancing on the sky...Well..let's try to take a photo ..

..... Fakkkkk my aurora ! .....

I can say this is a truly magic hour. even though i can't see a pink and green color on naked eyes, just only something light green glow on the sky that make me so so happy. I stared it as long as i can till i stopped to take photos of it . enjoy all moment . I stand and stare like that from 9 pm till midnight .. Freezing

It was lucky that i decided to come with Mr.J more early because after that day the weather was so bad and always changed like women mood. A friend told me that was the most strongest geomagnetic Strom of the month . It was 7 kp then 6.67 kp and 5 kp for many hours .

After 3 months, 3 new moon that I went around south of Nz . Eventually, My mission completed!!! Woohoo ... If I concentrate my business as my traveling .. My mom should be so proud of me lol

However , I have to say thank you to Mr.J who drove me around , being patient my personality even though we were arguing sometimes, He is annoying me many times and make a stupid rule as taking shower every 2 nights with women who love to take a shower 2 times per day like me .. haha but I also feel fun to hang around and sharing laugh with him. " My fucking travelmate "

ตอนแรกว่าจะเขียนเรื่องการแคมป์ปิ้งใน Nz แต่เพราะเพิ่งแยกกับนายคันไข่อย่างถาวร กูเลยเปลี่ยนมาเขียนเรื่ิองการตามล่าหาแสงใต้อันเป็นจุดร่วมการพบกันของกูและคนคันไข่ ผู้มีพระคุณหลักของเรื่องนี้

จริงๆการตามล่าหาแสงเหนือเป็นเป้าหมายหนึ่งในชีวิตที่กูต้องพิชิตให้จงได้ มาตั้งแต่ 8 ปีก่อน สมัยเที่ยวแถบชายแดนจีน-รัสเซีย ในเมื่อไม่มีโอกาสเห็นที่จีน และยุโรปมันแพงนัก กูไปที่รัสเซียก็ได้ว่ะ ถึงขั้นหาข้อมูลวางแผนจะไปรัสเซีย แต่บังเอิญมาที่ Nz เสียก่อน

ทีแรกไม่รู้เลยว่า Nz จะมี แสงใต้กับเค้า เคยได้ยินแต่แสงเหนือๆ บังเอิ๊ญวันนึงคุยกับเพื่อนร่วมห้องเรืี่องนี้ นางเลยโชว์รูปให้ดู ...เฮ้ย Queentown มีแสงใต้ด้วยว่ะ... "เอาล่ะอีเต็ม.. กูต้องเห็นให้ได้"

"ตามล่าครั้งที่1" พอวีซ่าทำงานหมด กูต่อวีซ่าท่องเที่ยวทันที ขับรถจาก Blenheim ไปจอดที่ Christchurch และโบกรถ ต่อเรือ ข้ามไป Stewart island เกาะใต้ ใต้สุดของ Nz ที่เค้าว่าเป็น 1 ใน จุดที่ดีที่สุดในการชมแสงใต้ของ Nz กูทำงานแลกเปลี่ยนที่พักกับอาหารอยู่เกือบ3 อ��ทิตย์ คิดในใจยังไงกูก็ต้องเห็นให้ได้ว้อย....

4-5 วันแรกที่มาถึงเกาะ ..... ฝนตก เช้า สาย บ่ายค่ำ เมฆเยอะสัด ทั้งวัน ทั้งคืน ระหว่างนั้นก็คอยเปิดดูพยากรณ์ว่าแสงมันระดับไหนแล้ว จนกระทั่งวันที่ท้องฟ้าแจ่มใส ลูกเพนกวินร้องระงม 4.7 kp! เหี้ย! กูต้องได้เห็นแน่ๆ

แต่ทีี1! กูลืมไปว่า...กูไม่มีรถ.... กูเลยชวนลูกชายเจ้าของบ้านผู้มีรถ เพื่อนร่วมบ้าน และแขกของที่พักไปล่าแสงด้วยกัน

แต่ที่่2! พอถึงจุดชมวิว พระจันทร์มันขึ้นมาครึ่งดวงแล้ว.... ท้องฟ้าสว่างโล่เลยจ้า.... "ตามล่าครั้งที่1 ล้มเหลว" แต่คืนนั้นยังดีทีี่ได้เห็นนกกีวี่ตัวเบ้งออกหากินแทน กูเลยเดินตามนกกีวีหากินแทนดูแสงใต้

"ตามล่าครั้งที่2" ท่านพี่ใหญ่กูมาหา กูเลยได้ขับรถรอบเกาะ Nz อีกรอบ ช่วงอยู่ทางใต้ของเกาะใต้ ท้องฟ้าปลอดโปร่ง เห็นดาวล้านดวง แต่! ยังคงมีแสงจันทร์ และพยากรณ์ของแสงอยู่แค่เพียง 2-3 kp เท่านั้น 2วันต่อมากูขับรถขึ้นมาแถว Hokitika ค่อนไปทางเหนือของเกาะใต้เท่านั้นแหละคร่า.... 6Kp เลยจ้า.. จะไปหามุมไหนถ่ายคงไม่ทัน คนแม่งถ่ายรูป อวดลง กลุ่มนักล่าแสงกันใหญ่ อดจ๊ะ! "ตามล่าครั้งที่2 ล้มเหลว"

"ตามล่าครั้งที่3"

โอกาสสุดท้ายที่กูจะได้เห็นแสงใต้นี้ เพราะกูกำลังจะออกจากประเทศราชแห่งนี้ในอีกไม่ช้า คืิอถ้ากูไม่ได้เห็นคราวนีั้ ก็ช่างแม่งล่ะ ไว้ไปล่าที่อื่น รอบนี้กูวางแผนให้ดีกว่าเดิม กะช่วงเดินทางก่อนและหลัง 2 วันที่จะเป็นเดือนมืด คือวันที่ 24 -28 (เมษา)

เนื่องจากขายรถไปแล้ว กูจึงเริ่มมองหา Relocate car และ travelmate ตาม Facebook จนไปเจอคฑาชายคันไข่ผู้มาจากแคว้นบาสก์ สเปน กระดูกหนา ปัญญาอ่อน ผู้กำลังหาเพื่อนร่วมทางเที่ยวเกาะใต้ ทีแรกกะให้นางไปส่งที่ Lake tekapo เท่านัั้น แต่ด้วยความที่นางไม่มีแผนอะไรเลย พอกูพูดถึงแผนการตามล่าแสงที่นางไม่รู้มาก่อนว่ามีที่นี่ นางจึงมีความสนใจยิ่ง เราเลยตกลงเดินทางไปด้วยกันจนตลอดทริป และอาจขึ้นเหนือไปด้วยกัน เป็นทริปสุดท้ายของกู

ด้วยความทีีนางเกลียดเมืองที่วุ่นวาย เราจึงออกเดินทางจาก Christchurch ให้เร็วขึ้นกว่าเดิม จากที่กูตั้งใจว่าวันที่ 24. จึงเลื่อนมาเร็วขึ้นเป็นวันที่ 20 แทน วางแผน และมาร์คตามจุดต่างๆที่คาดว่าจะได้เห็นแสง

กูเริ่มต้นจาก Lake tekapo และ mt.cook ก่อน ออกไปยืนดูท้องฟ้า เช็คพยากรณ์เผืีอจะ��ชคดี ....วันที่22 กูเดินทางมาถึง Omaru คือจริงๆไม่ได้คิดจะมาดูแสงไรเลย แค่ทางผ่านที่ไม่อยู่ในลิสต์ แวะมานอนเฉยๆ กูเลยชวนมันจอดรถดักรอดูเพนกวินกันเล่นๆ กะว่าจะได้เห็นเพนกวินเดินกลับรัง ถือถุงกับข้าวมาฝากลูกเมีย แต่.... ไม่มีสักตัวโผล่มา

คันไข่ : ไหนๆดูพยากรณ์แสงหน่อย มีเปล่า วันนี้  กู: เออใช่! ลืม! แต่ไม่น่าจะมีหรอกวันนี้ เย็นๆเพิ่งเช็คไป.. ... .... ..... ....... กู: เหี้ยยย 6.67kp!!!!

สิ้นเสียงกูปุ๊บ อีคันไข่นี่รู้หน้าที่มาก ควงพวงมาลัยเหยียบมิด อะไรที่ถือแดกๆกันอยู่ทิ้งกันหมด ขับรถมองหามุมทีีดีที่สุดของเมือง...

ด้วยความที่กูจินตนาการไว้ว่าแสงมันต้องแบบที่เราเห็นในภาพแน่ๆ กูเลยไม่รู้ว่าหน้าตามันต้องเป็นยังไง พยายามมองไปทางใต้ เห็นแต่แสงเรืองเต้นๆอยู่บนท้องฟ้า เป็นปื้นใหญ่ๆ ใช่ไม่ใช่ไม่รู้ลองสักแชะบนหลังคารถ..

..... เชี่ยยยย แสงใต้ของกู๊วววว! .....

ณ เวลานั้นนี่แม่ง ชั่วโมงต้องมนต์จริงๆ แม้จะไม่ได้เห็นสีที่ชัดเจนขนาดนั้น แค่เห็นอะไรบางอย่างเต้นๆเรืองๆเขียวๆขาวๆอยู่บนฟ้านั่น กูก็ดีใจจะแย่แล้ว กูยืนมองอยู่อย่างนั้นจนเลิกสนใจจะถ่ายภาพของมัน ตั้งแต่ 3ทุ่มถึงเที่ยงคืน ..... หนาวสัด

สิริรวมกูวนเวียนอยู่ทางใต้ตามหัวเมืองต่างๆมาไม่ต่ำกว่า 3 รอบ ทั้งไปเอง ไปกับพี่ กับเพื่อนร่วมทาง เพื่อสิ่งนี้สิ่งเดียว... นับว่าโชคดีที่กูคิดตัดสินใจออกเดินทางกับคันไข่มาก่อน เพราะหลังจากวันนั้น ท้องฟ้าก็แปรปรวน ทั้งฝนทั้งเมฆมาตลอด มารู้ภายหลังว่าวันนั้นเป็นวันเดียวที่แสงมันขึ้นไปถึง7 kp. ช่วงสั้นๆ และตกลงมาที่6.67 kp ซึ่งแรงที่สุดของเดือนด้วย และคาดว่าจะมีปรากฎการณ์เช่นนี้อีกในเดือนหน้า (พฤษภาคม)

มันเป็นความพยายามครั้งที่3 ภายใน3เดือน ที่ประสบความสำเร็จ ภาระกิจที่กูตั้งใจทำใน Nz ได้บรรลุผล ไม่มีอะไรติดค้างอีก นอกจากยังไม่ได้รีดนมวัวกับดึงหมอยแกะ นี่ถ้ากูตั้งใจทำงานเหมือนเที่ยว ป่านนี้กูคงเป็นประธานบริษัทไปล่ะ แม่กูคงภูมิใจแย่55

สุดท้าย ต้องขอบคุณนังคันไข่ที่ขับรถให้ตลอดระยะเวลาการตามล่าหาแสง (จนไหล่และคอมีปัญหา) แม้มันจะกวนส้น ตรรกะซับซ้อน ตีนเหม็น ให้กูต้องอาบน้ำทุก3วัน(รูปที่เห็นใส่��ุดเดียวนี่ ไม่ใช่ถ่ายวันเดียวกันนะ กูใส่แม่งอยู่ชุดเดียวนั่นแหละ) (และเมืีอวานยังกล้าปล่อยให้กูขับเกียร์กระปุกไปเอาของเอง ทั้งๆที่กูไม่ได้ขับกระปุกมาหลายปีแล้ว เชี่ยจริงๆ แต่กูก็เสือกกล้าขับอีก) แต่เพราะมัน ภาระกิจกูจึงสำเร็จไปด้วยดี.. ขอบคุณ อีสหายร่วมทางตีนเหม็นของข้า

Working life in nz part 9 Final job “Data collector and the best boss”

Ginny had told me that if she has a job, she will contact me again. Even though I feel regret about money that I can earn from cherry picking but my working visa validity is 1 month left only. I had quited cherry job 4-5 days before cherry season finished then drove up to Blenheim and worked for Ginny next day.

A job called Brunch of grapes counting. It worked similar as floret counting but I need to cut brunch of grapes, put in buckets or plastic bags and carry many kilogram of grapes to the office. First of all, I have to cut and weigh all of grape brunches in one tree. Second, randomize 10 brunches for weighing again. Third, choose 5 piece of grape and then record. These data will be used for determine the quantity of wine making in the future. Sometime I used my car as the mobile office too. However, Ginny also gave a yellow quad for working this time! Wooo my personal official car lol Woo hoo…So fun

Moreover, I also got called from Thai restaurant which I had applied 2-3 months ago. Thus, I worked 2 jobs in the same time. I had worked with Ginny for 3 weeks till the end of season but my visa was still valid for 5 days then I asked my ex-flatmate who is a supervisor in winery and work for them 2-3 days until my working visa was invalid. Finally, it is time to explore New Zealand (with my visitor visa).

And these…… are my working stories in Nz. Well…. In my opinion, if you are not picky, it is not that difficult to find a job especially agriculture field in Nz actually. One thing we need to know about Nz job is its mostly seasonal work, even Kiwi people have 2-3 jobs per year too. Some workers must do the contract with a company so, they will have a job in this period of the year.

For those reason, we have to find a job in advance. We need to follow what’s fruits or veggies seasonal in this time. There are many agriculture jobs, at least we will get one of them. I think basically, kiwi people aren’t cheating. Cheater are from foreigner contractors. We never know what we’ve meet but if it is not good, then just keep moving.

I’m a quite lucky that I always got a good things every time I changed my work. Some friend of mine won’t change a job because of their friends or a boss or whatever but for me, I changed because I like to try new things, meet new people and most important…. I got many new experiences that you are reading right now…

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน9 ท้ายสุดสุดท้าย “ผู้เก็บข้อมูลกับนายแสนดี”

ก่อนหน้าที่กูจะขับรถลงใต้มาเก็บเชอรี่ นายทูนหัวจินนี่เคยบอกไว้แล้วว่า ถ้ามีงานช่วงปลายมกราคม หรือต้นเดือนกุมภาพันธ์เมื่อไรจะติดต่อมา แม้จะแอบเสียดายจำนวนเงินที่ได้จากการเก็บเชอรี่แค่ไหน แต่เพราะวีซ่าทำงานกูเหลือเวลาเพียงแค่ 1 เดือนเท่านั้น (ซึ่งจะไปหางานอื่นทำคงเป็นไปได้ยาก)กูจึงต้องจบงานเชอรี่ก่อน 4-5 วัน และขับรถขึ้น Blenheim เริ่มงานกับจินนี่ทันที

งานรอบนี้คืองานนับพวงองุ่น ซึ่งจินนี่มอบ Quad สีเหลืองอ๋อยเป็นรถประจำตำแหน่งให้อีกด้วย งานนับพวงองุ่นใช้หลักการเดิมกับงานนับดอกองุ่น เพียงแต่งานนี้กูต้องนับ - ตัดพวงองุ่นใส่ถังหรือถุง และหอบแว้นจำนวนพวงองุ่นมากมายหลายกิโลกรัม ไป – กลับระหว่างไร่และออฟฟิศ หรือบางทีกูก็ใช้หลังรถกูเป็นออฟฟิศแทน

วิธีการทำงาน อันดับแรกคือต้องชั่งพวงองุ่นทั้งหมดที่ตัดจากต้นหนึ่ง ต่อมาคือเลือกสุ่มมาชั่ง 10 พวง จากนั้นเด็ดลูกองุ่นมาชั่งจำนวน 5 ลูก พร้อมจดบันทึก ข้อมูลทั้งหลายที่ได้นั้นจะถูกนำไปประเมินเพื่อคำนวณการผลิตไวน์ในอนาคต แล้วกูก็ต้องแบกที่ชั่งแล้วไปทิ้งในพื้นที่อันไกลโพ้น

ประจวบเหมาะอีกเช่นเคย ร้านอาหารไทยที่กูเคยสมัครไว้เมื่อตอนย้ายมา Blenheim รอบแรก ติดต่อมาให้กูทำงาน ณ วันที่กูขับรถมาถึงที่นี่พอดี ทำให้กูมี 2 งานอีกเช่นเคย กูทำงานให้กับ��ินนี่เกือบ 3 อาทิตย์ จนกระทั่งจบงาน เหลือเวลาอีกแค่ 5 วันก่อนวีซ่าทำงานกูกำลังจะหมด กูจึงไปของานเสริมกับอดีตเพื่อนร่วมบ้านที่ทำงานเป็นหัวหน้าไร่องุ่นอยู่ 2 – 3 วัน ก่อนจะเปลี่ยนเป็นวีซ่าท่องเที่ยว และเตรียมออกเดินทางตามแผนที่วางไว้....

และนี่...ก็คือเรื่องราวการเป็นแรงงานต่างด้าวทั้งหมดในนิวซีแลนด์ของกู..... จะว่าไปงานที่นิวซีแลนด์หาไม่ยากถ้าไม่เรื่องมาก โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งงานสวน งานไร่ อย่างหนึ่งที่ควรรู้หากจะมาทำงานแนวเกษตรกรรมที่นี่ คือ งานพวกนี้มาเป็นฤดูกาล แม้แต่คนกีวี่ยังต้องมี 2 -3 งานต่อปี โดยทำสัญญาว่าจะกลับมาทำงานให้เค้าทุกช่วงเวลานี้ของปีนั้นๆ อดีตเพื่อนร่วมบ้านเป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ดูแลเด็กกำพร้า พอฤดูผลไม้ก็เปลี่ยนมาควบคุมการผลิตผลไม้กระป๋องที่โรงงาน หมดผลไม้ก็กลับไปเป็นดูแลเด็กต่อ สลับหมุนเวียนกับงานอื่นไปเรื่อยๆ บางคนที่เจอเป็นพยาบาลแต่มาแพคแอปเปิ้ลเฉพาะฤดู ฉะนั้นต่างด้าวอย่างเราเองก็ควรเตรียมพร้อมหางานใหม่ไว้เนิ่นๆ ตามเทรนว่าเดือนนี้แม่งจะมีผลหมาก รากไม้อะไร ต้องกล้าที่จะเปลี่ยน มีฟาร์ม มีสวน มากมาย ขับรถวนมันเข้าไป อย่างน้อยมันต้องรับเราบ้างล่ะ แม้ไม่รู้ว่ามีอะไรรออยู่ข้างหน้า ถ้ามันไม่ดีก็เดินหน้าต่อ แต่กูอาจจะโชคดี ที่ทุกครั้งที่เปลี่ยนกูมักได้อะไรดีๆกลับมาเสมอ กูว่าคนกีวี่ส่วนใหญ่ไม่โกง ไอ้ที่โดนโกงมาจากพวกนายหน้าชาติอื่นๆ

เพื่อนของกูบางคนยึดเพื่อน ยึดนาย เป็นสารัตถะของชีวิตทำงานที่เดิมไม่เปลี่ยน แต่ด้วยเงื่อนไขของวีซ่า ของตัวงาน และจุดประสงค์การมาที่นี่ ทำให้กูเปลี่ยนงานทุกครั้งเมื่อมีโอกาสที่ดีกว่า เพราะกูชอบลองอะไรใหม่ๆ ได้เจอเพื่อนใหม่ ที่สำคัญได้ประสบการณ์ใหม่ๆที่กำลังเขียนให้พวกสูอ่านอยู่นี้

Working life in Nz part 8.2 “I’m back! Cherries girl!”

Because of my curiosity, I texted to take leave with suncrest orchard manager and went to Cherry corp next day. The system here is a bit different, there were 8 picker gangs in the orchard. First day I was sent to gang4. All pickers have to find their own partner. I found a Chinese boy “Hugo” as a picking partner. It had 1-2 supervisors take care of gang4 and give an order which bay (4-5 trees)or row we can pick. I and Hugo had to pick an opposite side of trees and help each other. When we are finished one bucket, we need to put a barcode sticker on the bucket and place it under the shade then, runners will come to scan our barcode and collect it. After we had done our bay, we just called supervisors and then they will check over and let us to pick next bay.

  Basically, Cherry corp paid 8 nzd/bucket but we must pick the best cherries without any defect. Anyway, a supervisor was so nice and not fussy plus they allowed to wear gloves. I compared about good and bad point to work here, I was quite happy to work in this orchard but I still hesitate to work here because of their bad rumor. It is not only this reason but I also have to move out from the hostel and find a place to put up my tent again. (Yeah ... a bit lazy)

Next day I asked to take leave and went to Cherry corp again. The orchard moved me to gang 6. This gang is only one was sent to work for a Joint venture orchard. (It is under Cherry crop company but different owner. ) Well, 95 % of pickers in this gang are Latino. I think I don’t have to explain how fun it is. They are very friendly. They always sang and made animal sound all over the orchard. Supervisors are so laid back. Sometime they brought a saxophone and entertained our gang too.

The end of my second day, I decided to resign a job in Suncrest as soon as I arrived the orchard. However, I didn’t have that chance. After I came back, an old lady, the hostel manager walked straightaway and started to integrate me suddenly. 

Hostel manager: Where were you today! You didn’t work here … where were you?  Me: ……. Hostel manager: You got a new job, right? Where is that? Tell me? Where?  Me: Why I have to tell you?  Hostel manager: Where? Where? You have to leave here within 30 mins otherwise I will call the police!

It happened very fast. I tried to control my tempered because I do know myself that I’m a fighter and won’t let anyone do shit with me easily. After I realize that is not my personality and I can’t find the reason why I should be calm so, I walked straightaway to her. “Who the fuck do you think you are?” We started argument and I didn’t let her even speak out ….. “Fuck off” I told her ….

I walked back to the hostel and brought my stuffs to my car. My roommates came to help me and gave me a courage. This wasn’t happen only with me. It was happened with a Chinese girl and this old lady also told her to move out within 30 mins or even Taiwanese couple who resigned a job at the morning and this old lady again let them move out within midday before she call the police. However, there never has anyone talk or fight with her before… I also didn’t know what is my allegation? If I moved late 1 mins?

While I was packing my stuffs, one man came to talk with me.(He should be a company manager). He talked with me nicely but hiding unfriendly words. He explained about their rule that all workers must leave from the hostel as soon as they got new job, Can't work 2 jobs. I confessed about my bad  but I still resisted about the way they treated with workers.

Me: Do you think we are Aliens! And you treat us shit like this? First time I feel hesitate to leave here but.. I do really fucking hate here right now!  Him: You are so aggressive women  Me: Actually I’m really nice person but I’m nice with people who is nice with me.  Him: I’m happy that you got a new job.  Me: Oh … I’m so happy too … I’m so happy to leaving here.. Are you happy?? (Ask an old lady) happy? (Ask a man)  Him: You have to leave here within 30 mins! I will watch you until you gone from the gate otherwise I will call the police!  Me: Awwww Don’t be worry .. Do you think I want to stay here? Then STOP to talk with me…. wasting my packing time.

 Before I left, my roommates stand outside and clap their hands for supporting me and sarcastic them in the same time. Eventually, I and this orchard had DONE!.

Even though it was a bad ending but I started the best thing ever. I’m quite lucky that I was moved to gang 6 because this gang was sent to a Joint venture orchard and It had a picking longer than another gang around 2 weeks. Moreover, this orchard is not that strict and the owner also increase a wage 8 nzd/bucket. A boss is so nice as well. He treat us nice and always bought beers to thank you for our hard work almost every day. Well… Let’s guess.. How wealthy I am lol Even a supervisor called me “my picking machine”

By the way, I just need to move out and stay a campsite which is a bit expensive and fight with a hostel manager but I got my freedom back - perfect boss – lovely supervisors – wonderful money – better system –– long working hour . This is worthwhile enough! ..

  Ps. my problem with a hostel manager was spreaded and distort by word of mouth. They didn’t know who is she but after they talked with me, they will say “It is you!!” and everyone thought I got racial harassment. I have to defend them … NOOOOO I just was drove out from the hostel orchard not racist!! Dudeeee

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน 8.2 “การกลับมาของสาวเชอรี่อีกครั้ง” วันรุ่งขึ้นกูส่งข้อความลางานกับ ผู้จัดการสวนของ Suncrest และลองไปเก็บเชอรี่ที่ Cherry crop เพราะกูอยากรู้ว่าระบบการทำงานของแต่ละสวนมันเป็นอย่างไร ซึ่งพบว่าการทำงานของที่นี่แบ่งออกเป็น 8 ทีมย่อย(ถ้าจำไม่ผิด) เริ่มต้นวันแรกกูได้อยู่ทีม 4 เค้าก็ให้หาคู่หู กูได้เลยจับคู่กับผู้บ่า��ชาวจีนที่ลาออกจากสวนเชอรี่เมืองอื่นมาทำงานที่นี่ ทางหัวหน้าทีมจะยกให้คู่นึง ต่อ 1 เบย์ (ประมาน 4-5 ต้น ) หรือ 1 แถว ช่วยกันเก็บคนละฝั่ง พอเก็บเสร็จ ติดสติ๊กเกอร์บาร์โค๊ต และวางใต้ร่มไม้ จากนั้นจะมีรันเนอร์มาแสกนบาร์โค๊ตและเก็บถังเชอรี่ของเราไป

การจ่ายเงินของที่นี่แน่นอนตายตัว 8 เหรียญต่อถัง (ประมาณ 200 บาท) แต่ต้องเก็บเชอรี่ที่ดีที่สุด ห้ามมีแม้แต่รอยนกจิก หัวหน้าทีมให้อิสระการทำงานอย่างเต็มที่ คือมึงเก็บเสร็จแล้วเรียกกู เดี๋ยวกูมาตรวจแล้วค่อยปล่อยให้มึงไปเบย์ต่อไป.. กูเทียบข้อดีข้อเสีย บวกกับข่าวลือ ทำให้คิดไม่ตกว่าจะย้ายหรือไม่ย้ายงานดี เพราะถ้ากูลาออก กูต้องย้ายออกจากโรงนอนและไปปักเต๊นท์ที่ใหม่อีก

วันถัดมากูเลยลางานและไปเก็บที่สวนนี้อีกครั้ง วันนี้กูถูกจับย้ายไปอยู่กับทีม 6 เพื่อนร่วมแก๊งล้วนแล้วแต่เป็นชาวละติน.. ไม่ต้องบอกว่าสนุกแค่ไหน.. เพราะแม่งแหกปากร้องเพลง ส่งเสียงเป็นลิงเป็นข่างกันตลอดทั้งวัน หัวหน้าทีมอย่างชิล ไม่มาจิกด่าทึ้ง บางวันเอาแซกโซโฟนมาเดินเป่ารอบสวนเอนเตอร์เทรนทีมอีก ที่สำคัญทีมนี้เป็นทีมเดียวที่ถูกแยกให้เดินทางไปเก็บสวนอื่น ซึ่งเป็น Joint venture กับ Cherry crop ภายในแบรนเดียวกัน แต่เจ้าของคนละคน

ตกเย็นกูขับรถกลับที่พักเตรียมลาออกจากสวนปัจจุบัน ทันทีที่เท้าแตะเข้าที่พัก ผู้จัดการโรงนอนก็เดินดิ่งเข้ามาหากู  ผจก ：วันนี้เธอไปไหนมา เธอไม่ได้ไปทำงานใช่ไหม เธอไปไหน  กู : …………………… ผจก ：เธอได้งานใหม่แล้วใช่ไหม ที่ไหน บอกฉันมา ที่ไหน  กู ：แล้วทำไมฉันต้องบอกเธอ (พยายามข่มอารมณ์) ผจก ： ที่ไหน ที่ไหน ที่ไหน ....... เธอต้องเก็บของและออกจากที่นี่ภายใน 30 นาที ไม่เช่นนั้นฉันจะเรียกตำรวจ

เหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว กูพยายามข่มอารมณ์ไม่ให้อาละวาดเป็นคิงคอง แต่แล้วกูก็คิดได้ว่า นี่มันไม่ใช่วิถีคนอย่างกู ... กูจึงเดินกลับไปหาอีเจ้ผู้จัดการโรงนอนทันที

กู ：คุณคิดว่าคุณเป็นใคร มีสิทธิ์มาพูดอะไรกับฉันแบบนี้  ผจก ：เธอไม่ได้ทำงานที่นี่แล้ว เธอก็ต้องออกไป  กู ： แล้วเธอพูดจาดีๆไม่เป็นหรือไง.. ฉันไม่ได้เป็นขี้ข้าของเธอ และที่สำคัญฉันยังไม่ได้ลาออก ผจก ：หรือเธอจะคุยกับไมค์ (กูไม่รู้หรอก ว่าอีไมค์คือใคร ) กู ：ฟัก ออฟ....

���ี่คือฉบับสั้นๆ กูรู้แค่ว่ากูไม่เปิดโอกาสให้อีเจ้ได้พูด อาศัยความเป็นผู้หญิงตัวใหญ่ และเสียงดังกว่าเข้าสู้ แล้วกูก็เดินออกมาเก็บของต่อ เหตุการณ์ทั้งหมดอยู่ในสายตาของเพื่อนร่วมโรงนอนที่จับกลุ่มคุยกัน บ้างก็เข้ามาให้กำลังใจกู ซึ่งเหตุการณ์นี้ไม่ได้เกิดเพียงแค่ครั้งเดียว ก่อนหน้านี้ก็มีเหตุการณ์แบบเดียวกันกับสาวชาวจีนที่ถูกไล่อย่างหมูอย่างหมา หรือคู่รักชาวไต้หวันที่เพิ่งหางานใหม่ได้แล้วแจ้งลาออกตอนเช้า อีเจ้นี่ก็มาไล่และใช้ประโยคเดียวกันว่า ให้เก็บของภายในเที่ยงวัน ไม่อย่างนั้นจะแจ้งตำรวจภายใน 30 นาที แต่ก็ไม่มีใครกล้าเถียงหรือทำอะไร เอาจริงๆ กูก็ไม่รู้หรอกว่า ตำรวจมาแล้วจะทำไม กูจะโดนข้อหาเหี้ยไร ...？

ระหว่างที่กำลังเก็บของ ผู้ชายคนหนึ่งเรียกกูไปคุย นางเข้ามาพูดจาด้วยท่าทีที่สงบ แต่คำพูดไม่ได้เป็นมิตรอย่างน้ำเสียง  นายไมค์ ： ตามกฎแล้ว ถ้าเธอทำงานที่ใหม่เธอก็ต้องออกจากที่นี่ไป เธอไม่มีสิทธิ์ทำงานสองที่ แล้วพักอยู่ที่นี่  กู ： ฉันรู้.. อันนี้ฉันยอมรับฉันผิด แต่คนของคุณพูดจาไม่ดีกับฉันก่อน อีกอย่างฉันกำลังจะมาลาออกด้วยซ้ำ แรกๆก็ลังเลว่าจะไม่ลาออก แต่ตอนนี้ฉันตัดสินใจได้ง่ายมาก เพราะอีเจ้นี่  นายไมค์ ：คุณสงบก่อน ค่อยๆพูด  กู ： ฉันพยายามสงบแล้ว ถ้าคนของคุณไม่เริ่ม ฉันก็ไม่เริ่มหรอก  นายไมค์ ： ยังไงคุณต้องออกจากที่นี่ไปภายใน 30 นาทีนี้  กู ：คุณไม่ต้องบอกฉันหรอก ฉันอยากไปจะแย่อยู่แล้ว คุณคิดว่าพวกคุณเป็นใคร คุณคิดว่าเราเป็นพวกต่างด้าวแล้วจะปฏิบัติตัว และพูดจาแย่ๆกับเราได้งั้นหรอ ตอนแรกฉันว่าฉันชอบที่นี่อ่านะ.. แต่ตอนนี้ฉันโคตรเกลียดที่นี่เลยว่ะ  นายไมค์ ：คุณช่างเป็นผู้หญิงก้าวร้าว  กู ：ฉันดีกับคนที่ดีกับฉันเท่านั้น  นายไมค์ ：เราก็ดีใจด้วยที่คุณได้งานที่ใหม่  กู ：โอ๊ย ฉันก็ดีใจ ดีใจมากกกกกกกกกก คุณดีใจไหม ๆ (หันไปถามอีเจ้ และตาไมค์) ฉันนี่โคตรมีความสุข (กูพยายามกวนประสาทสองคนสุดๆ ) นายไมค์ ：คุณต้องออกจากที่นี่ภายใน 30 นาที เราอยู่รอดูคุณจนกว่าคนจะขับรถออกไปจากประตูรั้วของเรา ไม่อย่างนั้นฉันจะเรียกตำรวจ  กู ：โอ๊ย ไม่ต้องหวง เธอคิดว่าฉันอยากจะอยู่ที่นี่นักหรอ?? และคุณก็เลิกคุยกับฉันสะที เ���ียเวลาฉันเก็บของ

กูกลับเข้ามาเก็บของ เพื่อนร่วมโรงนอนต่างเข้ามาช่วยเหลือและให้กำลังใจ ก่อนไปไม่วายขอกูขับรถปาดกวนส้นตีนอีนายไมค์อีกสักหน่อย พวกเพื่อนร่วมโรงนอนต่างนัดแนะขอแสดงความขบถ ออกมายืนปรบมือส่งกูกันอุ่นหนาฝาครั่ง และแล้ว เรื่องราวของกูกับสวนเชอรี่��ี่ก็จบกันอย่างเหี้ยๆ เหี้ยยิ่งกว่าร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่น จนเพื่อนสเปนถามว่า “เต็ม มึงนี่ติดแบล็กลิสกี่ที่แล้ว มีเรื่องกับเค้าไปทั่ว”.... แต่เอาเถอะ ถือว่ากูได้เริ่มต้นงานใหม่กับสวนเชอรี่ที่แจ่มกว่าเก่า

อาจเป็นเพราะกูโชคดีที่เข้ามาตอนเชอรี่กำลังสุกเต็มต้น (ข่าวลือที่ว่าไม่ค่อยมีงานเป็นเรื่องจริง เพราะเชอรี่เพิ่งมาสุกทีหลัง) และบังเอิญกูถูกจับย้ายไปอยู่ทีม 6 เลยทำให้ทีมนี้มีงานยาวกว่าทีมอื่นถึง 2 อาทิตย์ แถมสวนที่มาเก็บให้นั้นไม่ค่อยเข้มงวดและขึ้นราคาให้ถังล่ะ 8 เหรียญอีกด้วย นายคนใหม่ก็ช่างแสนดี แจกเบียร์เกือบทุกเย็น เพื่อขอบคุณที่เราทำงานหนักทั้งวัน ไม่ต้องบอกว่าสามอาทิตย์นี้อู้ฟู่ขนาดไหน เก็บจนหัวหน้าทีมยังต้องเรียกกูว่า "my picking machine” นายดี หัวหน้าดี เงินดี ระบบการทำงานดี ใส่ถุงมือได้ ระยะงานยาวนานกว่า แค่ต้องย้ายไปปักกลดที่นอนใหม่ แพงกว่าไม่กี่เหรียญแต่มีอิสระ แถมได้ด่ากับอีเจ้ผู้จัดการโรงนอนถือว่าคุ้ม ！！！

ปล. เรื่องที่กูทะเลาะกับผู้จัดการโรงนอนและผู้จัดการใหญ่ของสวน ถูกลือปากต่อปากกันไปในกลุ่มละติน และเยอรมัน ใครคุยกับกูล้วนถามเป็นเสียงเดียวกันว่า “มึงนี่เอง” ทว่าเหตุการณ์ถูกบิดเบือนว่ากูโดนดูถูกเชื้อชาติและอื่นๆสารพัด ส่วนใหญ่ลือไปในทางที่อีเจ้ผู้จัดการโรงนอนเสียหาย จนกูต้องแก้ข่าวไปว่า กูไม่ได้โดนดูถูกเชื้อชาติ แค่ทะเลาะที่มันไล่กูเฉยๆว้อยยยย....

ปล. เสียดายถ้ามือถือไม่ตายห่าไป คงได้เห็นคลิปมากมายในสวนที่บรรดาชาวละตินเต้นแรงเต้นกา ส่งเสียง และ บรรยากาศรอบสวน

Working life in Nz part 8.1 “I’m back! Cherries girl!”

I have applied as a cherries picker position 4-5 months before cherry season start. There were 3 cherry farms acceptances me back. I got a picker position at Cherry land, Blenheim and Suncrest , Cromwell and got a grader position at Central pac , Cromwell .

I postponed to work for Cherry land and Suncrest because I didn’t want to leave Ginny, my super boss even I was waiting this job for a year. However, Data collector job had done after cherry season already started for a week and Cherry land can’t wait me anymore. Thus, I had only Suncrest which grant to reschedule and let me start the end of December. Moreover, Central pac also sent email and asked me to start at mid of December …Lucky me!.I didn’t have to wait so long for making money.

》》Starting as a cherries grader《《 I drove from Blenheim to Cromwell directly. Central pac paid 3 nzd per bucket for grading so that mean I have to do more than 45 buckets, then I will get more than a minimum rate. Anyway, the good point of this farm is we can rent space for a tent / car very cheap price. The pack house is also located in the farm as I can sleep longer and go to work with in 5 mins. Furthermore, all workers stayed here. So, we are so close … every day play pool- pay card together, enjoy eating, sharing laugh, hiking and swim in the lake. I was so joyful and happy BUT talking about JOB… It is shit. Freaking cold in pack house. We put overcoat in summer and use eyes to looking for spoil and defect on cherries many hours. I were more tired than climbing the ladder and picking cherries. I NEED THE SUN!. Even thought I was the one of top 5 in pack house but I can do only 30 buckets per day. I decided to quit this job after a week and followed my second plan “Picking cherries in Suncrest “​

》》 Starting as a cherries picker(again)《《 I moved to stay in the hostel of Suncrest . There are 16 persons in one room. It is very clean and nice facility here. From a hostel to an orchard is only 15 mins by walk and there is a transportation to pick up – drop off from campsite but It is too bored for me. The hostel rule is No party – No alcohol – No outsider – No and No …We’re under control by Hostel manager. Well, I feel like I am in the international boarding school.

Nevertheless, the working day is certainly here. There is a work every day. Sometimes I worked 10 days non-stop. They paid 5-7 nzd per bucket but mostly it will be 5-5.5 nzd. Their system is different with Omahuri orchard that I had worked last year. Every pickers will get own barcode sticker. We must to put this sticker on the bucket and walk to scanning point. There is a record book which show how many bucket we made per day so, we can check it next day. Sometimes my record is incorrect but I can’t object to their record because they said they did double checked before put in the car and enter to the pack house. Their system is acceptance!

In addition to their working system , one picker take care one cherry tree. If a picker is finish first tree, they have to carry the ladder and walk pass many pickers to another trees which is no one (by manager’s order). We were losing time to find a scanner and carried the ladder all over the orchard. Example. We are picking at block1 after finishes block 1 we have to move to block 9 and then back to block2 again. Most of the time is finding block and carry 3.5 m ladder. (This is excluded time when we get lost in the orchard) . Moreover, This orchard won’t allow to wear gloves and also work in breaking time.

Don’t pick too much leafs! Because Heap of spurs on these leafs and the supervisor will call you climb down the ladder to see theses leafs on the ground, even though you are on the top of the ladder and they might let you go home suddenly if they saw again. Sometimes a supervisor will let you re-pick the last cherry tree again if you left cherries on the tree as well.

I worked here 3 weeks until I saw a job announcement that said Cherry crop is looking for pickers. I heard some people gossip about this orchard is really bad and uncertain… They said there is no work every day and always let people go home or lay off workers .. Anyway, I’m a kind of curiosity person. Finally I applied this job and I got called and they let me start a job next day….

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน 8.1 “การกลับมาของสาวเชอรี่อีกครั้ง” 

ก่อนหน้าฤดูกาลเชอรี่เริ่มต้น 4-5 เดือน กูได้หว่านใบสมัครไปหลายสิบที่ มีเพียง 3 ที่ที่ตอบรับ คือ Cherry land ,Blenheim / Suncrest , Cromwell และ Central pac , Cromwell 2 สวนแรกเป็นงานเก็บเชอรี่ ส่วนสวนที่3 เป็นงานคัดแยกเชอรี่

เพราะความดีของจินนี่ทำให้กูไม่สามารถทิ้งนายที่รักได้เลยทันที กูจึงต้องหาข้ออ้างต่างๆนาๆเพื่อยื้องานเชอรี่ไว้ จนกระทั่งงานนับดอกองุ่นจบลงหลังงานฤดูเก็บเชอรี่เริ่มไปแล้ว1อาทิตย์ ...Cherry land ที่เรียกตัวกูไว้ตั้งแต่ปลายเดือนพฤศจิกายน ก็ไม่สามารถรอได้กูได้อีกต่อไป กูจึงเหลือตัวเลือกแค่ Suncrest ที่เรียกให้กูเริ่มงานต้นเดือนธันวาคม แต่เพราะความตอแหลของกู ทางสวนจึงจัดตารางใหม่และให้กูเริ่มงานได้ในปลายเดือนธันวาคม อีกทั้งกูยังโชคดีที่จู่ๆ Central pac ติดต่อให้ไปทำงานกลางเดือนธันวาคม กูจึงว่างเพียงไม่กี่วัน และขับรถลงใต้เพื่อไปเริ่มงานคัดแยกเชอรี่ทันที โดยไม่ต้อง��อ 2 – 3 อาทิตย์เพื่อเก็บเชอรี่ที่ Suncrest

》》เริ่มงานคัดแยก《《 โรงแพค Central pac แห่งนี้เริ่มต้นจ่ายในราคา 3 เหรียญต่อถัง เท่ากับว่ากูต้องพยายามคัดแยกเชอรี่ให้มากกว่า 45 ถัง จึงจะได้มากกว่าแรงงานขั้นต่ำต่อวัน .. ข้อดีของที่นี่ คือ มีพื้นที่ให้ตั้งเต็นท์ในราคาถูกและอยู่ภายในสวนเชอรี่ กูจึงสามารถเดินไปทำงานได้เลยไม่เกิน 5 นาที อีกทั้งเพื่อนร่วมงานล้วนอาศัยอยู่อาณาบริเวณเดียวกัน จึงทำให้พวกเรามีความสนิทสนมกันเป็นอย่างมาก วันๆตั้งวงเล่นไพ่ ตีพลู ทำกับข้าว แจกขนม เดินเขา โดดน้ำทะเลสาบ คือ แม่งโคตรสนุก ... แต่ถ้าพูดถึงตัวเนื้องาน.... วันๆยืนแข็งในโรงแพคที่หนาวสัด หน้าร้อนแต่ต้องใส่เสื้อกันหนาว คอยใช้สายตามองหาร่องรอยบนลูกเชอรี่ กูว่าแม่งเหนื่อยกว่าการปีนบันไดสะอีก และแม้กูจะติดอันดับนักคัดแยก 1 ใน 5 แต่กูก็สามารถทำได้เพียง 30 ถังต่อวันเท่านั้น กูจึงตัดสินใจลาออกหลังจากทำงานไปได้ 1 อาทิตย์ และเริ่มทำตามแผนสำรอง คือ เก็บเชอรี่กับ Suncrest

》》เริ่มงานเก็บ《《  กูถอนเต๊นท์เก็บจาก Central pac และมาอาศัยอยู่ โรงนอนของสวน Suncrestแทน โรงนอนที่นี่สะอาด สะอ้าน มีตัวอัปปาก้าอยู่ฟาร์มข้างๆ เราสามารถใช้เครื่องซักผ้าและผงซักฟอกได้ฟรี จากโรงนอนสามารถเดินไปทำงานแค่เพียง 15 นาที และยังมีรถรับส่งจากแคมป์ต่างๆด้วย เหมือนอะไรจะดี แต่ชีวิตกูแม่งเหมือนอยู่โรงเรียนประจำ เพราะกฎของที่นี่ ห้ามจัดงานปาร์ตี้ ห้ามดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ ห้ามคนนอกเข้า ห้าม และห้าม..

ทว่าการทำงานของที่นี่เป็นอะไรที่แน่นอน มีงานเก็บทุกวัน บางครั้งทำงานติดกัน 10 วันไม่มีวันหยุด จ่ายเงินเป็นถัง ถังละ 5-7 เหรียญ แต่ส่วนใหญ่จะอยู่ที่ราคา 5 – 5.5 เหรียญ ระบบการทำงานที่นี่ต่างกับ Omahuri ที่กูเคยทำปีก่อน แต่ละคนจะมีสติ๊กเกอร์บาร์โค๊ตของตัวเอง พอเก็บเสร็จกูจะต้องเอาสติ๊กเกอร์ติดบนถัง และเดินไปให้จุดแสกน ถ้าอยากรู้ว่าตัวเองเก็บได้กี่ถัง ก็สามารถไปเปิดดูสมุดบันทึกได้ในวันถัดไป แต่ปัญหาที่กูเจอในบางครั้งคือ จำนวนถังที่แจ้งในสมุดไม่ตรงกับที่สติ๊กเกอร์ที่กูนับ ซึ่งเรียกร้องอะไรไม่ได้ เพราะทางสวนแสกนก่อนขึ้นรถและเข้าโรงแพคสองรอบด้วยกัน เค้าถือว่าระบบเค้ามีความแม่นยำสุดๆ

นอกจากนี้ระบบการเก็บของที่นี่ จะจัดให้หนึ่งคนต่อหนึ่งต้น บางคนที่เก็บเร็วอาจจะรุดหน้าไปก่อนหลายต้นแล้ว ไอ้คนเก็บช้ากว่าก็อาจต้องเ��ินถัดไปหลายสิบต้น หรือคนล่ะบล๊อกแล้ว เสียทั้งเวลาตามหาที่แสกน และยังต้องแบกบันไดไปตามจุดต่างๆ เช่น ขณะที่เรากำลังเก็บอยู่บล็อก 1 เมื่อจบบล็อกแล้วก็อาจจะถูกย้ายไปเก็บบล็อก 9 อันไกลโพ้นท้ายสวน และกลับมาเก็บบล็อก 2 อยู่ต้นสวนต่อ เดินหาบล็อกรอบหนึ่งปาไปกว่า 15 นาที ไม่นับที่กูหลงทาง เสียเวลาหาบล็อกและยังต้องแบกบันได3เมตรกว่าอันหนักอึ้งเดินพาดบ่าไปมาอีกด้วย แถมที่นี่ไม่อนุญาตให้ใส่ถุงมือ (มือกูนี่อย่างเหี้ย) และบังคับให้เราต้องพักทั้งที่จ่ายเงินตามถังไม่ใช่ตามชั่วโมงซึ่งต่างจากสวนอื่นที่อนุญาตให้เก็บได้ บางครั้งถ้าเราทึ้งใบไม้(ที่ติดหนอของพวงเชอรี่สำหรับปีหน้า)มากจนเกินไป จะถูกหัวหน้าสวนเรียกลงมาดูใบไม้ทั้งๆที่เราอาจจะอยู่บนยอดสุดของบันได (กูก็นี่เลยเก็บใบไม้เข้ากางเกง และทิ้งลงส้วมหลุม จบปัญหา) บ้างถูกขู่ว่าจะไล่กลับบ้านหากพบเห็นใบไม้มากเกินไป บ้างถูกเรียกตัวให้กลับไปเก็บเชอรี่ต้นเก่าที่ลูกอยู่ตามซอกหลืบซึ่งเอื้อมไม่ถึง บางคนอาจถูกส่งให้ไปเก็บผลไม้ชนิดอื่น ซึ่งหวยมักออกเป็น “กูเอง”

กูทำงานที่นี่ได้ 3 อาทิตย์ จนกระทั่งมีประกาศจากสวน Cherry crop ว่ากำลังเปิดรับสมัครคนเก็บเชอรี่ ทั้งๆที่ฤดูกาลมันเริ่มเก็บกันไปนานแล้ว (ทำไมจู่ๆมันรับคนเพิ่มล่ะ) เสียงลือเสียงเล่าอ้างว่า บริษัทนี้แย่ฝุดๆ ไม่ค่อยมีงาน ไม่แน่ไม่นอนอยากหยุดก็หยุดเอาเสียดื้อๆ บ้างก็ไล่คนออก... (เอาไงดีว่ะ).. แต่คนชอบลองอย��างกู สุดท้ายกูตัดสินใจสมัคร และได้เรียกตัวให้เริ่มงานในวันถัดไป .....

Working life in Nz part 7 “Data collector .. better job ... Better life”

It was like my downturn of Nz life while I was living in Christchurch. After I quite a job in the Japanese restaurant and motel then I drove up to the north of South island “Blenheim” for starting a new job next few days

I really didn’t have any idea about this job. I only knew it is data collector job. They required only 1 position and I was chosen easily because I told them I was studying Anthropology and had an experience in field work before.

Ginny is my new boss who is a coolest lady I ever met. She own GPS Company. She drove around south island and made a Map all over the island. Her part time job is counting floret … huh?? What is kind of job!!

 My responsibility is count and collect data of florets by random from database + map in winery. These databases were recorded by Ginny, It will have all information about size of each winery, number of row in each sort of grapes, quantity of grapes per row etc… and I will use this data how to reckon. Example , I have to count every 10th row , on bay 5th and grape number 1st after finish I have to walk next 5 bay and start count at grape number 2nd , number 3rd then number 4th until the end of row and start to count again next 10 row and do the same thing. (Well, it is a bit confuse to tell, let’s say my job is Counting florets). I have to record all data and send all documents to Ginny. She will use this data determine the number of grape bunches which is used for making wine in the future.

There are many Wineries contact Ginny for this job. The first day of work, she let me follow her to the winery and introduced me with the owner or manager of the winery so, next day I can come alone and start on my own. Some winery is so massive. It is 500 Acre and need around 2-3 weeks to finish a project. Some winery is so beautiful. It is close to the beach. Some winery is on the mountain which I have to walk up and down all the time, it is a bit tried but also brilliant! Well, it was a good job because I can be fit because I walked many hours all over the winery.

 Ginny is very generous boss. She allowed me to clock in - out anytime but I have to finish project and give her a perfect job. She won’t control me as a baby. Some winery I have to drive 120 km. (go and back) so, she let me clock in when I drove at 10th km and clock out when I arrived the starting point. 100 km on the way to winery is included in my working time. I asked her “How can you know I really do work and don’t make up the paper?” She replied “I trusted on you” This is more powerful to me. It make me want to work well for her. I think She is also smart and From her 30-40 years experience, She can realize who is cheating on her too.

Moreover, Ginny willing paid me high wage because she believe that if people work hard and good, they deserve a good pay. She also paid for fuel. She let me choose between Paying 2 nzd per Km or going to petrol station which had her credit card and deduct from that.

All of the above , How can i be bad to this awesome boss? Even 2 cherries farm that I applied 3 months ago already called me. I also hesitate to work for them In spite of I really want to work and waited cherries job for a year!

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน 7 “ผู้เก็บข้อมูล งานใหม่ ไฉไลกว่าเก่า”

เดือนกว่าใน Christchurch ถือเป็นจุดต่ำที่สุดของการใช้ชีวิตใน Nz กูขับรถตีขึ้นทางเหนือของเกาะใต้ Blenheim เพื่อเตรียมตัวเริ่มงานในอีกไม่กี่วันข้างหน้า

ก่อนขับรถขึ้นมา กูแทบไม่มีไอเดียอะไรในหัวเกี่ยวกับงานนี้ รู้แต่เพียงว่าเก็บข้อมูล (ข้อมูลอะไรว่ะ?) ตำแหน่งนี้รับแค่เพียงหนึ่งคนเท่านั้น และเพราะการอ้างว่าเป็นเด็กมานุษยวิทยา เคยทำงานเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนามมาก่อน จึงทำให้กูเป็นผู้ถูกเลือกและได้งานนี้อย่างง่ายดาย

จินนี่ สาวสูงวัย เท่ห์ มีบุคลิกคล้ายคลึงกับแม่กู เป็นเจ้านายคนใหม่ จินนี่มีบริษัท จีพีเอส เป็นของตัวเอง ขับรถกะบะทั่วเกาะใต้ บังคับโดรน ทำแผนที่ แต่มีรับงานเสริม คืองานนับดอกองุ่น .. เห่ย... งานเหี้ยไรว่ะ

หลักๆของงานคือ กูต้องเดินนับดอกองุ่นว่ามีเท่าไร โดยการสุ่มหาค่าเฉลี่ยจากฐานข้อมูลที่จินนี่มี เช่น แปลงองุ่นพันธุ์ Pinot gris นี้มีกี่แถว แถวล่ะกี่ต้น ต้องการตัวอย่างกี่ต้น ฉะนั้นกูอาจจะต้องสุ่มนับทุกๆ10 แถว เสาที่5 ต้นองุ่นที่ 1 เพื่อไปยืนแหวกใบองุ่นและนับจำนวนดอกของมัน เสร็จต้นหนึ่งก็นับต่อไปอีก 5 เสา ต้นองุ่นที่ 2 ที่3 ที่ 4 ไล่ไปเรื่อยๆจนสุดแถว และเดินเว้นไปอีก 10 แถว และทำแบบเดิม (อธิบา��ไป งง ไป เอาเป็นว่าเป็นคนนับดอกกกกกกกกกองุ่น) กูต้องจดบันทึกทั้งหมด และส่งเอกสารให้จินนี่ไปทำการวิเคราะห์เพื่อประเมินจำนวนพวงองุ่นที่กำลังจะโต และถูกนำไปทำไวน์ในอนาคต

จินนี่จะรับงานตามไร่องุ่นต่างๆ วันแรกของการเริ่มงานไร่ที่ใหม่ จินนี่จะขับรถนำทางเพื่อให้กูจำเส้นทางไปไร่องุ่น และแนะนำกูกับเจ้าของหรือผู้จัดการไร่ บางไร่มีพื้นที่ถึง 500 เอเคอร์ ใช้เวลา2-3 อาทิตย์กว่าจะจบงานแต่ครั้ง เดินวนกันเข้าไปค่ะ เดินจนน่องขยายจาก 16 นิ้ว เป็น 17 นิ้ว เดินจนรอบไร่องุ่น บางไร่แม่งก็โคตรจะชิล งามแงะติดทะเล บางไร่ตั้งอยู่บนยอดเขาคือสวยสัด และเหนื่อยกูมากด้วย เพราะต้องเดินขึ้น-ลง เนินตลอดเวลา

จินนี่เป็นนายที่โคตรใจกว้าง กูอยากเริ่มทำงานกี่โมง เสร็จกี่โมง ตอนไหนก็ได้ไม่สน ขอให้งานเสร็จเป็นพอ ด้วยความที่บางไร่กูอาจจะต้องขับรถไป - กลับ 120 กิโล จินนี่เลยกำหนดให้กูเริ่มงานเมื่อขับรถมาถึงกิโลที่ 10 ....จินนี่จะรู้ได้อย่างไรกูเริ่มงานแล้ว? กูก็แค่ส่งข้อความ Clock in พอทำงานเสร็จขับรถกลับถึงจุดเดิมก็ส่งข้อความ Clock out เป็นการตอกเวลาเข้า – ออกงาน ระยะเวลา 100 กิโล บนท้องถนนถือเป็นช่วงเวลาทำงานของกู กูถามจินนี่ว่าแล้วจินนี่จะรู้ได้อย่างไรว่ากูเริ่มงานจริง และไม่เขียนเอกสารมั่วๆขึ้นมา จินนี่ตอบมาแค่เพียงว่า “เชื่อใจ” จบเลยกู เจอคำนี้ กูนี่ไม่กล้าทำผิดเลย

นอกจากนี้ จินนี่ยอมจ่ายกูมากกว่าคนทำงานไร่และงานทั่วไปหลายเหรียญ เพราะจินนี่เชื่อว่า คนทำงานให้เค้าดี ก็สมควรได้รับค่าตอบแทนที่ดีด้วย อีกทั้งจินนี่ยังออกค่าน้ำมันให้ทั้งหมดด้วย โดยให้กูเลือกว่าจะรับเงิน กิโลเมตรล่ะ 2 เหรียญ หรือเติมเต็มถังผ่านบัตรเครดิตที่จินนี่ฝากไว้ที่ปั๊มน้ำมันแทน (กูเลือกอย่างหลัง) แล้วนี่จะไม่ให้กูซื่อสัตย์ได้เยี่ยงไร แม้กระทั่งสวนเชอรี่2 ที่ ที่กูสมัครไว้สามเดือนก่อนเรียกตัว กูยังไม่กล้าไปเลย ทั้งที่งานเก็บเชอรี่คือที่สุดของงานที่กูรอคอยมา 1 ปีแล้วก็ตาม

Working life in Nz part 6 “Housekeeper and kitchen hand girl”

I came back Nz again after I traveled in Fiji and Sri Lanka almost 3 months. I started to drive around North Island for 2 weeks then moved down to Christchurch to looking for a job. Unfortunately, I got sick badly and can’t move to anywhere for 2 weeks.

I started to look for a job as soon as possible when I get better. However, it was not easy to get a job in Christchurch. I was trying so hard to walk-in and apply online for 2 weeks but there was no luck. There are a lot construction and hospitality jobs in Christchurch but they didn’t want any workers at that time. Finally, I decided to move to another city if I can’t get a job here within a week.

One day I was driving back home from the city center and saw a big sign “Arcadia Motel ” . I turned a car and met motel’s owner. He asked my number and called me to start a job as a housekeeper next 2 days. Actually, he already had housekeepers. I’m not sure he wants to help me or want to find someone to support his housekeepers. However, We became a friend from then to now. He always helped me and provided a place to stay when I visited Christchurch and also let me park my car when I went to Stewart Island for woofing 20 days. How is nice and generous of him? You think so?

I got a job in Japanese restaurant shortly afterwards so, I was working 2 jobs in the same time. I started to wash plates, no longer they let me cook and prepared soup. It was so fun to learn new things in Japanese kitchen even though it was quite tough job. I was only one women in the kitchen because mostly Japanese girls worked as a waitress or a cashier.

This restaurant is so so japanese. You have to clock- in before time and clock- out after time. I was clock- in late 1 min (that mean I started to work after 15 mins )and that day they asked me to work more 15 mins (that mean I clock out on time) So, sometime I worked for free half an hour. Moreover this restaurant paid monthly not weekly. This is quite a problem in Nz because mostly in Nz they will pay wage by weekly and all expenses include rental also paid weekly as well.

The restaurant gave me 20 hours per week first and increase more 30-40 hours per week later. However, I got a better offer in Blenheim and they wanted me go there within a week.

Me : I would like to quit a job . This Sunday will be my last day. J boss : You can’t quit a job this time.  Me : I was looking for someone to work instead of me. He will come to apply a job tomorrow.  J boss : ok.. You can leave the end of month.  Me : hmmm no, I got a new job and They already called me to go this weekend and I just knew it. If I won’t go this week, I will missing that job.  J boss : That is your problem . It is not my problem and you already sign contract.  Me : Yes I did. But you said because I can work here only 3 month that mean I am still in probation and I can quit anytime, isn’t?  J boss : I won’t allow you quit… I will give you more hours. Me : I have to be there in weekend anyway.. Moreover, you paid monthly, I can’t accept that... If I didn’t have saving money, what can I do?  J boss : That’s your problem , not my problem  Me : ok then if you didn’t have a worker , it is your problem not my problem then  J boss : Today .. you finish!  Me : Fine! Thank you so much.

This is just our short discussing. After last words, I took off uniform and walk away. I didn’t even say goodbye to anyone. Well, This is a worse resigning a job since I worked in Nz

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน6 “แม่บ้านสาวและเด็กล้างจาน”

หล���งจากหนีความหนาวเกือบ 3 เดือนที่ ฟิจิ และศรีลังกา กูก็บินกลับมา Nz อีกครั้ง และตั้งใจย้ายไปทำงานที่เกาะใต้ กูขับรถเที่ยวรอบเกาะเหนือประมาณ 2 อาทิตย์ และลงมาที่ Christchurch เพื่อหางานทำ ทว่า....ไม่ทันจะเริ่มหางาน กูดันป่วยหนัก นอนขึ้นอืดอยู่ใน Hostel อยู่ 2 อาทิตย์เต็มๆ

พอใกล้หายดี กูจึงเริ่มต้นหางานจริงจัง ไม่รู้ผีห่าตนใดกระซิบให้กูมาเมืองนี้ งานแม่งช่างหายากหาเย็น กูพยายามเดินสายหางาน อยู่ 2 อาทิตย์ ร่อนใบสมัครทั้งทางอินเตอร์เน็ตและเข้าไปสมัครด้วยตนเอง ซึ่งงานส่วนใหญ่ของเมืองนี้จะเป็นพวกก่อสร้าง หรืองานด้านสายบริการ และก็ไม่มีทีท่าว่ากูจะได้งานแต่อย่างใด กูจึงลองให้โอกาสตัวเองหางานต่ออีกแค่ 1 อาทิตย์ ถ้าหางานไม่ได้จริงๆกูจะหนีไปทำงานเมืองอื่นที่เค้าเรียกกูแล้วเช่นกัน

ระหว่างทางกลับบ้านหลังจากตระเวนหางานในเมืองทั้งวัน กูได้ ป๊ะ กับป้ายไฟ “Arcadia Motel ” กูจึงตัดสินใจเสี่ยงดวงเลี้ยวเข้าไป และพบกับเจ้าของ Motel ที่บังเอิญอยู่พอดี นางขอเบอร์โทรศัพท์ไว้ และตกลงให้กูทำงานเป็นแม่บ้านในอีก2วันข้างหน้า ความจริงนางเองก็มีพนักงานทำความสะอาดอยู่แล้ว แต่อาจเพราะต้องการแบ่งเบาภาระพนักงานคนอื่น หรืออาจเพราะอยากช่วยเหลือกูก็มิทราบได้ กูจึงได้มาทำงานที่นี่ชั่วคราว และเพราะเจ้านายคนนี้แหละ ที่คอยอนุเคราะห์ที่ซุกหัวนอนเวลากูแวะมาเมืองนี้โดยตลอด ทั้งยังให้ที่จอดรถ ตอนกูไปทำงานแลกเปลี่ยนที่ Stewart island เกือบ 20 วัน..แสนดีป่ะล่ะ... (ตอนนี้นายโสด หนุ่มใหญ่อายุ 56 ต้องการสาวไทยเป็นคู่คิด สนใจติดต่อได้ ใจดีมาก มีรถขับ และ เป็นตำรวจเก่า)

ไม่นานร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่นแห่งหนึ่งก็ติดต่อมาให้กูทำงานในครัว กูจึงทำสองงานควบไปพร้อมๆกัน (เช้าทำความสะอาด Motel เย็น ทำความสะอาดจาน) กูเริ่มจากงานล้างจาน จนขยับมาตักข้าวไป ล้างจานไป ย้ายไปทอดอาหารบ้าง ยกถังเตรียมทำน้ำสต็อก และอาหารสารพัดอย่าง งานหนักไม่ว่า ดีกว่าไม่มีงาน และกูกำลังรู้สึกสนุกกับการเรียนรู้อะไรใหม่ๆในครัว กูจึงเป็นสตรีนางเดีย��ในหมู่ชายฉกรรจ์ผู้คอยแบกหาม อยู่หน้าเตา และทำอาหารในครัว ส่วนสตรีญี่ปุ่นนางอื่นๆล้วนทำหน้าที่เสริฟและแคชเชียร์

ร้านอาหารแห่งนี้ โคตรญี่ปุ่นจ๋า เข้างานต้องมาก่อน และออกต้องหลังเวลา กูเคยตอกเวลาช้าไป 1 นาที เท่ากับกูเริ่มงาน 15 นาทีให้หลัง แถมวันนั้นถูกเรียกให้ทำงานเกินไปอีก 15 นาที (เทียบเท่ากับออกตรงเวลา) เหมือนกูทำงานให้ฟรีๆครึ่งชั่วโมง....แต่…. อะไรไม่เท่ากับการจ่ายเงินเป็นรายเดือน ... กูพลาดเองที่ไม่ได้ถามให้ดีก่อน เพราะตามปกติการจ่ายค่าแรง ค่าบ้าน และอะไรต่อมิอะไร ของประเทศ Nz มักจะจ่ายเป็นรายอาทิตย์ กูเลยต้องสำรองเงินตัวเองออกไปก่อน เพื่อรอสิ้นเดือน ซึ่ง กว่าเงินจะเข้า กูต้องรอไปอีก 10 - 13 วัน

เริ่มแรกทางร้านอาหารป้อนงานให้กู 20 ชั่วโมงต่ออาทิตย์ และค่อยเพิ่มเป็น 30-40 ชั่วโมงต่ออาทิตย์ จนกระทั่งกูได้งานที่ไฉไลกว่าเก่าที่เมืองBlenheim และทางนั้นต้องการให้กูไปเริ่มงานด่วนที่สุด กูจึงตัดสินใจลาออกกับร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่น

กู :ฉันอยากจะขอลาออก ฉันหาคนไว้ให้เธอแล้ว และฉันจะมาทำงานให้เธออีก 4 วัน  นายยุ่น :ไม่ได้ ฉันไม่ให้เธอออก กู :ฉันหาคนมาทำงานแทนตำแหน่งฉันแล้วล่ะ เค้ากำลังจะมาสมัครพรุ่งนี้  นายยุ่น: เอางี้แล้วกัน เธอค่อยออกสิ้นเดือน  กู :หืม..คงไม่ได้ ถ้าฉันไม่ไปตอนนี้ ฉันจะพลาดงานนั้น  นายยุ่น :นั่นก็เป็นปัญหาของเธอ ไม่ใช่ปัญหาของฉัน และเธอได้เซ็นต์สัญญาไว้แล้วนะ  กู :ใช่ ฉันเซ็นต์ แต่เธอบอกเองว่า สามเดือนอยู่ในช่วงทดลองงาน ฉันสามารถออกตอนไหนก็ได้ไม่ใช่หรอ  นายยุ่น : ยังไงฉันก็ให้เธอไปตอนนี้ไม่ได้ เอาเป็นว่าฉันจะเพิ่มชั่วโมงให้  กู : ยังไงฉันคงต้องไปภายในอาทิตย์นี้ อีกอย่าง เธอจ่ายเงินเป็นรายเดือน ฉันไม่โอเค ถ้าฉันไม่มีเงินสำรองอยู่แล้ว ฉันจะทำยังไง  นายยุ่น : นั่นเป็นปัญหาของ ไม่ใช่ปัญหาของฉัน (อ้าว สัด) กู: โอเค ในเมื่อเธอบอกว่า นี่เป็นปัญหาของฉัน งั้น...ถ้าเธอฉันไม่ทำงานให้เธอ มันก็เป็นปัญหาของเธอ ไม่ใช่ปัญหาของฉันเหมือนกัน  นายยุ่น :ได้ วันนี้คือวันสุดท้ายของเธอ  กู: ไม่มีปัญหา ขอบคุณ

นี่เป็นการถกเถียงฉบับย่อๆ สิ้นประโยคนั้นกูก็ถอดเสื้อพนักงาน เดินจากออกมาโดยไม่ได้ล่ำลาใคร .. นับเป็นการลาออกที่แย่ที่สุดตั้งแต่ทำงานใน Nz มา..

Working life in Nz part 5 "Apple girl"

I was trying so hard to apply a job in every apple pack houses in Hastings/Napier after I knew Tomatoes house is going to finish soon. I tried to call and followed up apple pack houses many times, Finally, I got a job as a grader position in "Mr.apple" . I stopped to work in a blueberries orchard and started to work this apple pack house from 6 am – 4 pm (6 days/week) and then went to Thai restaurant for working from 5.30 pm – 9 or 10 pm almost everyday.

This pack house environment is very cozy. They always open music and we also can give our music to them for opening in a pack house. For me… After been deaf world many weeks in a factory...This pack house is like my heaven , it really make me happy and enjoyable. Moreover, A manager, Supervisors and all colleagues is so nice too.

 Their system is also systematic. The main machine will sort out about size and deliver to upper round about. This machine is intelligent. It can detect even small bruise, pecked by birds and some defection.

The workers who stand on the opposite side of the machine will put paper tray on the lower round about . Apples from upper round about will drop on the tray. Graders just arrange and place apples on the tray properly. If there is any defection, just place those apples on a middle round about. Apples from this part will be send to domestic packing So, workers will sort out and choose apple which is less defection and then pack for selling in domestic market. Which is the most ugly and a lot detection, factories will come to pick it up for processing food....What’s shame that people here can eat only B grade apples.

Apples on tray will deliver to the end of round about. Stackers will put these trays into the box , close , put sticker and push to another line. These boxes will be scan and place on the pallet for the next step.

  The most fun part of this job is Sometime round about is too fast. I can’t even arrange or check it., just spread and put on holes Many workers have to help in one round about. Heap of Apples drop on the floor like apple sea , people screaming , laughing, running. it is really funny moment.

I worked here almost 3 months . I ate a lot of apples . My free time is Apple Jam making, Apple fried rice cooking, Apple crumble baking… made all menu from apples. Anyway, It is quite cold in winter and also getting dark from 4 pm.. These make me feel bored and blue in my life. So, I decided to quite a job and booked ticket to enjoy the sun in Fiji instead.

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน5 "สาวแอปเปิ้ล” 

ช่วงที่โรงมะเขือเทศใกล้ปิดตัว กูยังคงไปเก็บบลูเบอรี่ทุกเช้า ซึ่งถือว่าโชคดีที่บลูเบอรี่ยังไม่จบฤดูกาล(แค่เกือบๆ) ระหว่างนั้นกูก็ขับรถไปสมัครตามโรคแพคแอปเปิ้ลที่ต่างๆ และร้านอาหารไทยในเมือง จนกระทั่งโรงมะเขือเทศปิดตัวเป็นโรงสุดท้าย เหลือแค่เพียงกลุ่มของรีแพคอาหารกระป๋อง ผู้จัดการกะบ่ายก็ดีโคตรๆ คอยช่วยเหลือป้อนงานเท่าที่หาได้ นางส่งกูไปรีแพคอาหารกระป๋องแทนคนที่ลางาน 2-3 วัน ซึ่งงานก็ง่ายๆ แกะอาหารกระป๋องที่แพคแล้ว แล้วมาจัดเรียงใหม่และแพคอีกรอบ ซึ่งกูก็ไม่รู้มันจะทำไปทำไม แต่กูก็ทำไปเพื่อเงิน....

ในที่สุดการตื้อและการโทรจิกโรงแพคแอปเปิ้ลของกูก็เป็นผลสำเร็จ กูได้เริ่มงานใหม่ในฐานะพนักงานชั่วคราวที่ Mr.apple แต่พอผ่านไปได้หนึ่งอาทิตย์ กูก็ถูกบรรจุเป็นพนักงานของโรงแพคแห่งนี้อย่างเต็มตัว กูเลิกไปทำงานเก็บบลูเบอรี่ และเริ่มทำงานตั้งแต่ 6 โมงเช้า ถึง 4 โมงเย็น (6 วันต่ออาทิตย์) หลังเลิกงานกูกลับบ้านไปนอนกระดิกตีน ตื่นมาอีกที 5 โมงเย็น เตรียมตัวทำงานร้านอาหารไทยจนถึง 3 – 4 ทุ่ม

โรงแพคแห่งนี้ มีบรรยากาศการทำงานที่ดีมาก สะอาดสะอ้าน แสงไฟทั่วถึง มีเพลงให้ฟังตลอดเวลา ซึ่งเราสามารถเอาเพลงของตัวเองไปให้เค้าเปิดได้อีกด้วย จากที่กูหูดับเป็นบ้ามาหลายอาทิตย์ การทำงานที่นี่จึงโคตรมีความสุข กับโสตประสาทหูกูมาก แถมหัวหน้า ผู้จัดการ และ พนักงานทุกคน คือ ดี..

งานแอปเปิ้ลไม่ใช่งานที่หนัก แต่เพราะกูเป็นพวกบ้าพลัง ชอบใช้แรงงาน เลยแอบหลับในบ้าง หรือวิ่งไปแพคแอปเปิ้ลลงลังเรียกสติบ้าง ระบบโรงแพคที่นี่คือแจ่มว้าว เมื่อเทียบกับโรงทาสบางแห่ง แอปเปิ้ลถูกส่งมาตามสายพานด้านบน ซึ่งถูกคัดแยกตามขนาดโดยเครื่องจักร เครื่องจักรนี้ฉลาดสัด สามารถจับรอยตำหนิ นกจิก รอยช้ำในแอปเปิ้ลได้อีกด้วย อีกด้านของเครื่องจักรจะมีพนักงานส่งถาดกระดาษใส่แอปเปิ้ลมาตามสายพานด้านล่าง แอปเปิ้ลบนเครื่องจักรจะไหลลงบนถาดกระดาษพอดี หน้าที่ของกูมีแค่จัดแอปเปิ้ลเรียง หันสี และทิศทาง ให้ดูสวยงาม อันไหนที่มีตำหนิก็นำไปไว้บนสายพานตรงกลาง ซึ่งสายพานนี้จะถูกส่งไปแผนกตลาดภายในประเทศ ทางฝั่งภายในประเทศ จะเลือกที่ตำหนิน้อยที่สุดใส่ถุงเป็นโลๆขายตามซุปเปอร์มาเกต ส่วนเหี้ยๆ ก็จะมีรถมารับไปแปรรูปอีกที หรือไม่ก็เข้าท้องกูเอง แอปเปิ้ลดีๆจะถูกส่งออกเท่านั้น ..ซึ่งน่าเสียดายแทนคนที่นี่ ได้กินแต่ของเก��ดบี

ถาดแอปเปิ้ลที่กูจัด จะไหลไปที่ปลายสายพาน ซึ่งมีหนุ่มน้อยใหญ่หน้ามนยืนรอ จัดเรียงลงกล่อง ครอบฝา ติดสติ๊กเกอร์ และผลักกล่องไปอีกสายพานหนึ่งที่มีเครื่องยิงบาร์โค๊ตเพื่อบันทึกเข้าระบบ กล่องแอปเปิ้ลเหล่านี้จะถูกลำเรียงขึ้นบนพาเลทอีกทีหนึ่งพร้อมจัดส่ง แต่ความสนุกของงานนี้มันอยู่ที่ บางครั้งแอปเปิ้ลแม่งมาเร็วมาก เร็วจนอีคนจัดไม่มีเวลามาจัด ทำได้แค่ปัดๆยัดๆให้มันลงถาดหลุม พนักงานจากสายพานอื่นต้องวิ่งมารุมสายพานเดียว เร็วจนทั้งคนจัด คนแพคทำไม่ทัน ถาดร่วงระเนระนาด เกิดทะเลแอปเปิ้ล ผุ้คนโหวกเหวกโวยวาย เป็นความโกลาหลที่สร้างสีสันในการทำงานมาก

งานแอปเปิ้ล เป็นงานที่กูทำนานที่สุดในบรรดางานที่ผ่านๆมา กูทำได้ 2 เดือนกว่า วันๆแดกแต่แอปเปิ้ล วันว่างๆของกูคือ แยมแอปเปิ้ล ข้าวผัดแอปเปิ้ล แอปเปิ้ลสครัมเบอร์ สารพัดเมนูจากแอปเปิ้ล แต่ด้วยความหนาว ความมืดตั้งแต่ 4 โมง และความเบื่อหน่ายสุดติ่ง แถมลูกค้าในร้านอาหารไทยเริ่มน้อยลง กูเลยลาออกจากงานแม่งและหนีไปสังเคราะห์แสงที่ฟิจิแทน .

Working life in Nz part4 "Factory girl"

I got a new job in "Watties" canned food factory after I started blueberries picking not for long . I decided to quit an Organics farm and moved to a new house in hasting because it is closer , cheaper and more private .

Everyday i woke around 6-7 am and went to pick blueberries until 1 pm and then drove a car to park at the factory , had lunch , took a nap and worked again at 2 pm.

This factory is quite good . There are shower rooms , table tennis and free milk -tea - coffee 24 hours . Moreover, 7 hours working but they paid 8 hours included breaking time and I can work 7 days a week (non stop working).

Anyway , It is really insane job . 1) I must wear uniform which is cover whole body 2) I must wear gloves 3) I must wear hair net 4) I must wear thick boots 5) I must wear ear muffs. This make me feel like I'm in a deaf world because I can't hear properly and have to shout for talking.

The main job is a grading fruit. I got a "peaches house" on my first day . Each standing position on roundabout is different responsibility. first day i just put ugly or bruised peaches on another roundabout . Yeah i was standing and put peaches like this whole day .... Fucking bored ! .. Every time I saw a clock , it just passed only 5 mins.

A supervisor moved me to another position next day. My new position is cutting seed. It is really easy job . Peaches were cut and delivered on roundabout so, which peach still had seed stuck on it , I just put on the machine and let it bumped seed off. That's my important responsibility!!! but this is not insane like turning peaches position! I watched heap of half peaches on the roundabout , which peach is upside down then I just turn the right side up ....that's all...my 7 hours working!! ... I felt so suffered and bored at that time. Well, Easy job, easy money but I'm going to crazy !

When it was raining and i couldn't pick blueberries. I will text to ask a morning manager shift , if he has any over time job for me and mostly I got a job in "Pears house " pears job is one of my favorite in this factory. Pears were shaved by machine and delivered on the roundabout so, if i saw any piece still had skin , I just cut it off .. That's all...

After i worked in peaches house 2-3 weeks . The afternoon manager sent me to "Corns house" Damn . . this job is quite fun . Corns were dumped from outside and delivered to corn house inside. It is very fast pace. First day a supervisor asked me to do grading . So, which corn is so short or ugly ,I just throw to the bin . which has a stem , I just break it .. Throw , break , throw , break ... the best thing of corns house is outside machine always stopped working so, i can dawdle and nap lol.. Sometime a supervisor sent me to corn machine as well . So, i just put corns on the machine and it will suck and cut all corn seeds off automatically.

I worked in corn house around weeks and then it suddenly finished season. Lucky me ...The afternoon manager sent me to work in " tomatoes house" where is the most worker reject and hate to do it because it is fucking hot and insane . How? I will explain you...

Tomatoes were dumped from outside and then its were boiled till skin peel off so, workers had to push/throw boiling tomato which is still have skin to another side . These skin off tomatoes will be deliver to another machine and were mashed. For the next step, one worker has to spread it by hand for a next worker can find piece of skin in mashed tomatoes !!! What the fuck !

I was working all processing in a tomatoes house. A supervisor always checked , complaints and showed tomatoes skin to everyone . .." Too much skin" "use 2 hands " she repeated same sentence, show tomatoes skin and complaint about how many piece of skin she found every 10 mins ...Some times It make me want to scream and run to outside like mad woman lol . The good point to work in here that I can find is only farting and no one can hear.

I was planning to work in this factory only 3 weeks but eventually ,i worked here almost 2 months . I think I was lucky that a manager always gave me a job even if he chose me to be 1 of 3 workers who allowed to work in public holiday .(that mean I can get 1.5 times of wage )

Tomatoes house was the last house that still running . After I worked in tomatoes house 3-4 weeks and it seems finish soon .. So my instinct said It is time to looking for a new job again ..

 อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน4 "สาวโรงงาน” 

พอกูได้งานเก็บบลูเบอรี่ปุ๊บ .. กูเริ่มวางแผนชีวิตใหม่ กอปรกับช่วงนั้นโรงงานอาหารกระป๋อง Watties กำลังต้องการคนอย่างล้นหลาม คือ สมัครปุ๊บ มึงเริ่มงานได้ทันที พอมีรถก็เริ่มปีกกล้าขาแข็ง ย้ายออกจาก Hostel ที่พักอยู่ ไปหาบ้านใกล้่โรงงาน กับบลูเบอรี่ฟาร์ม เพราะทั้งถูกกว่า ส่วนตัวกว่า ประหยัดกว่า จากนั้นกูก็ลาออกจากออแกนิกฟาร์ม ไปเริ่มเป็นสาวโรงงานทันที

กูตื่นแต่ 6 – 7 โมงเช้าไปเก็บบลูเบอรี่จนถึง บ่ายโมง และขับรถไปกินข้าว+นอนพักที่ลานจอดรถของโรงงาน เพื่อรอเริ่มงานตอนบ่าย2 กูทำอยู่แบบนี้เกือบ 2 อาทิตย์ และตระหนักได้ว่า "ไมมึงต้องมาทรมานตัวเองด้วยว่ะ?" กูเลยเลิกเก็บบลูเบอรี่เร็วขึ้น มีเวลาไปนั่งทำอาหารสวยๆที่บ้าน และขับรถไปทำงานโรงงานต่อ

สวัสดิการที่นี่ค่อนข้างดีทีเดียว เพราะว่ามีห้องอาบน้ำ และโต๊ะปิงปองให้เล่น (แต่กูไม่มีอารมณ์จะเล่น) นม ชา กาแฟ ฟรี ทำงาน 7 ชั่วโมง รวมพักด้วย1ชั่วโมง แต่จ่าย 8 ชั่วโมง งานมีตลอดเจ็ดวันไม่มีวันหยุด

แต่ก็อีกเช่นเดียวกัน ไม่รู้ว่ากูคิดถูกหรือคิดผิด เพราะ งานแพคว่าน่าเบื่อแล้ว งานโรงงานเหี้ยกว่าหลายเท่า.. เอาจริงๆมันก็ไม่ได้เหี้ยไรขนาดนั้นหรอก แต่กูจะเป็นบ้า.. 1.มึงต้องใส่ชุดหมีคลุมทั้งตัว 2. มึงต้องใส่ถุงมือด้วย 3.ใส่หมวกคลุมผม 4.ใส่รองเท้าบูธหนาๆ 5.มีที่ครอบหู อีสัดอยู่ในโลกของคนหูหนวก เป็นใบ้ คืออยากพูดก็พูดไม่ได้ เพราะไม่ได้ยิน ต้องตะโกนคุยกัน

งานหลักที่โรงงานต้องการ คือคนคัดแยก วันแรกจัดไปเลย "โรงพีช"..ในโรงพีช จะมีสายพานไหลไปตามจุดต่างๆ พนักงานต่างมีหน้าที่ของตัวเอง วันแรกกูน่ะหรอ... จับเอาพีช ที่หั่นครึ่งแล้ว ดูไม่สวย มีไปไว้อีกรางหนึ่ง นั่นแหละงานของกูทั้งวัน หันมองเวลากี่ครั้งมันยังคงผ่านไปแค่ 5 นาที

วันต่อมาหัวหน้าคนงานจับกูย้ายไปทำตำแหน่งใหม่คือ คนปั๊มเม็ดพีช อะร๊ายยยย คือ เวลาพีชที่มันไหลมายังมีเม็ดติดอยู่ กูก็หยิบไปวางในเบ้าให้เครื่องปั๊มเม็ดออก และนั่นคือหน้าที่อันสำคัญของกู ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นยังไม่ พีคเท่ากับการกูเป็น.. คนพลิกพีช อีเหี้ยยยยยยยยยย วันทั้งวันกูยืนมองพีชผ่านไปหลายอัน พีชไหลมาจำนวนมากตามสายพาย อันไหนที่มันคว่ำอยู่ ก็แค่จับมันหงายสะ.. อาราย.. นี่งานอาราย... กูทำงานในโรงพีชอย่างทุกข์ทนทรมาน เหม็นทั้งกลิ่นพีชและน้ำหอมของหัวหน้าโรงพีชปนรวมกัน กูได้แต่ท่องไว้��นใจ เพื่อเงิน เพื่อเงิน กะทำแค่สามอาทิตย์แล้วกูจะหนีไปเที่ยว นอนบ่อน้ำร้อน พักสมอง .... งานง่าย เงินง่าย แต่กูจะเป็นบ้า

ระหว่างทำงานที่นี่ หากวันไหนฝนตก กูไม่สามารถเก็บบลูเบอรี่ได้ กูจะส่งข้อความถาม ผู้จัดการกะเช้า เผื่อมีงานโอทีให้ทำ และงานส่วนใหญ่ที่กูจะได้คือ "งานโรงแพร "... งานแพร เป็นงาน 1 ใน 2 ที่กูชอบที่สุดแล้วในบรรดางานในโรงงานทั้งหมด หน้าที่หลักๆคือ ฝานเปลือกแพรที่เครื่องมันปลอกไม่หมดออก มีแค่นั้น

หลังจากทำงานในโรงพีชได้ 2-3 อาทิตย์ ผู้จัดการกะบ่ายก็ส่งกูไปอยู่ "โรงข้าวโพด" เฮ้ย... โรงนี้มันส์ ข้าวโพดแม่งจะถูกเทมาจากรถบรรทุกข้างนอก วิ่งมาตามสายพานด้วยความเร็วสูง กูถูกจับส่งเป็นคนคัดแยกข้าวโพดเช่นเคย ไม่สวยโยนลงถัง ติดก้านหักก้านโยนทิ้ง ทั้งวัน หักก้านๆ โยนลงถัง ที่ชอบที่สุด คือเครื่องข้างนอกมันพักบ่อย กูเลยอู้ได้บ่อย หลังจากทำได้วันสองวัน หัวหน้าโรงข้าวโพดก็จับกูไปอยู่ที่เครื่องแกะเม็ดข้าวโพด หน้าที่มีแค่วางข้าวโพดลงราง โอ้ว สนุกสัด พอวางข้าวโพด เครื่องมันก็จะดูด รูดปรื้ดๆ ก้านกระเด็นลงถัง เม็ดลงตามราง.. แต่ไอ้ความสนุกมีเวลาให้กูแค่เพียงอาทิตย์เดียว ข้าวโพดหมดล่ะ อ่ะ ปิดโรง พนักงานตกงานจ้า...อีห่า..

นับว่ากูยังโชคดี เพราะ ผู้จัดการกะบ่ายจับกูไปอยู่ "โรงมะเขือเทศ" ต่อ ซึ่งเป็นงานที่หลายคนปฎิเสธมากที่สุด เพราะร้อน วันแรกของโรงมะเขือเทศ หัวหน้าจับกูไป ขยี้มะเขือ .. คิดภาพไม่ออกใช่ม่ะ.. มะเขือเทศจะมีกระบวนการคัดจากข้างนอก ผ่านการต้มร้อนจนเปลือกเปื่อยยุ่ย หน้าที่ของคนที่อยู่ตรงนี้คือ มะเขือเทศไหนเปลือกยังออกไม่หมดให้ผลักไปไว้ด้านในอีกรางหนึ่ง ไอ้ที่ผ่านการคัดแล้วจะถูกไปต้มร้อนบดๆ อีกทีหนึ่ง หน้าที่ของกูคือ ขยี้มันสะ ให้มันกระจายๆ เพื่อให้คนถัดไป.... หาเปลือก... ห่ะ ไรนะ... หาเปลือก... อีห่า หาเศษเปลือกที่บดไปแล้ว โยนลงพื้น นี่มันงานอาร๊ายยยยย....

หลังจากขยี้มะเขือช่วงครึ่งวันแรกและหาเศษเปลือกช่วงครึ่งวันหลัง วันต่อมาหัวหน้าถามว่า "เธออยากทำจุดไหน?" .. กูไม่รีรอเลย ขอไปทำแยกมะเขือแบบลูกๆสายพานแรก... อย่างน้อยกูน่าจะเป็นบ้าน้อยกว่า แต่เปล่าเลย.. เพราะหัวหน้าจะมาคอยยืนข้างๆและบอกว่า “ทูมัชสกิน” ผ่านไปไม่กี่นาทีนางจะกลับมาอีกครั้งและบอกว่า “ทูมัชสกิน” "เธอเห็นเปลือกนี่ไหม" และเอามาโชว์อยู่แบบนั้นวนไปวนมา เป็นอาราย.. ประเทศบ้านมึงแดกเปลือกมะเขือไม่เป็นหรอ?.. มะเขือต้มร้อนๆ ไอร้อนๆ หน้าสวยเลยมึง บางครั้งกูอยากกรี้ดเป็นบ้าแล้ววิ่งออกจากโรงงานไปเลย ข้อดีของการทำงานที่นี่มีอย่างเดียวจริงๆที่นึกออกนอกนอกจากได้เงิน คือ ตดไม่มีใครได้ยิน

จากความตั้งใจว่าจะทำโรงงานเพียงแค่ 3 อาทิตย์ กูลากยาวต่อมาหลายอาทิตย์ ซึ่งช่วงวันหยุดแห่งชาติ หลายคนจะได้หยุดงาน มีกู 1 ใน 3 คนนี่แหละที่ผู้จัดการกะบ่ายเรียกตัวให้ทำงาน ซึ่งโชคดีของกูมาก เพราะหลายคนต้องการทำงานเนื่องจากได้ค่าแรงเพิ่มอีก 1.5 เท่า หลังจากผ่านไปเกือบ 2-3 อาทิตย์ หลายๆโรงเริ่มปิดตัว โรงมะเขือเริ่มมีกลิ่นลางๆว่าจะจบภายในอีกไม่กี่วันข้างหน้า กูก็เริ่มต้นหางานใหม่ เตรียมพร้อมอีกครั้ง .....

Working life in Nz part3 “blueberries girl"

In this blueberries orchard you can work at least 1-2 days/week and 4 hour/day . I have applied this job before i got a job in Organic farm So, after a blueberries orchard called me for induction then I decided to work blueberries picking as a second job. i worked full -time Monday to Friday in an Organic farm and weekend in a blueberries orchard.

There is a bus to pick up - drop off workers everyday at bus stops in Napier - Hasting and There are another buses to pick you up from the main gate and drop you off in different blocks that was separated by bow color . Red color is mean a new worker . Yellow color is mean intermediately picker and blue color is mean expert picker who stay longest .

A job is depend on the weather So, when it is raining , there might not work at that day because you will get a lot of bad and split berries . So, you need to call at the office or check on Facebook page when to start a work and cancel or not before going to work .

Whenever you arrive there , the first thing you need to do is scanning your bar-code for clock- in > get a plastic box , a chair and aluminium cover > waiting a bus > take a trolley > get a blueberries tray > scan bar-code before go inside a row ( to know variety )> spray sanitary on hands > start to pick!

A supervisor will tell you where do you have to pick .. Which is row and pole number .. So, after you fill full of tray then you just call or shout " runner !!!" . A runner is a guy who collect your tray to weigh in the station . You might see some handsome runners and heard women called and giggle with them specially lol .If you feel tired and already worked 4 hours , you can push a trolley to the station for weighing and clock- out

Basically , This company pay by contract but if your picking can't reach a minimum wage , they will top up for you. Many workers prefer to pick as hourly pay because it is more chilling . However, if you pick only a tray per day , you can get fire too!

I like outside job because it is more fun , easy going and freedom . I met many workers around the world . Sometime I can heard French music on the right hand side , Indian song on the left and reggae at the front of me in the same time .. And it is good to make a new friend.

Last year people started to leave for traveling or getting a new job in the winter season so, the company made a challenging and gave a prize for pickers ex. If you pick 200 kg in a week , you will get a bonus 200 nzd. Sometime people will join together and shared bonus .

Well, This is just starting my workaholic life.

อิเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน3 "สาวบลูเบอรี่”

หลังจากทำงานที่ ออแกนิกฟาร์มได้สักพัก ความหิวเงินก็บังเกิด ด้วยความที่บลูเบอรี่ฟาร์มมีคนเก็บเป็นจำนวนมาก เค้าจึงไม่มีกฎตายตัวว่ามึงต้องมาทำงานทุกวัน เต็มเวลางาน ทว่าอย่างน้อยมึงต้องมาทำงานอาทิตย์ล่ะ 1-2 วัน วันละ 4 ชั่วโมง ช่วงนั้นกูเลยได้โอกาสทำงานที่ออแกนิกฟาร์มไปด้วย และเสาร์อาทิตย์ไปหาลำไพ่พิเศษโดยการเก็บบลูเบอรี่

บริษัทนี้จะมีรถรับส่งพนักงานเช้า – เย็น ตามจุดต่างๆของเมือง หลังจากนั้นจะมีรถรับส่งไปตามบล็อกสีต่างๆ ที่นี่แบ่งแยก มือใหม่หัดเก็บจะมีโบว์ประจำตัวสีแดง ชั่วโมงบินเริ่มสูงจะมีสีเหลือง คนที่อยู่มานานหรือมาเก็บบ่อยจะมีสีฟ้า

ข้อเสียของการทำงานข้างนอกคือ ชีวิตขึ้นอยู่กับดินฟ้าอากาศ หากวันไหนฝนตก บลูเบอรี่ปริ ก็จะไม่มีการทำงานในวันนั้น ฉะนั้นก่อนออกมาทำงานทุกครั้งให้โทรไปเช็คที่ออฟฟิศซึ่งจะมีระบบตอบรับแจ้งเวลาการทำงาน หรือสามารถดูได้จากเฟสบุค ซึ่งเค้ามีการแจ้งว่าจะหยุด หรือเริ่มงานกี่โมง

ระบบของที่นี่คือ เข้างาน แสกนบาร์โค๊ต(เป็นการตอกเวลาเข้างาน) >> หยิบอุปกรณ์การเก็บ(กล่องพลาสติก เก้าอี้นั่ง แผ่นฟลอย) >> รอรถมารับไปส่งตามบล็อก >> เดินไปเอารถเข็น และกะบะใส่บลูเบอรี่ >> แสกนบัตรอีกรอบ (เพื่อเวลาชั่งจะได้ทราบว่าเราเก็บสายพันธุ์อะไร) >> สเปรย์ฆ่าเชื้อที่มือ >> ลงมือเก็บ

หัวหน้างานเป็นคนแจ้งให้เริ่มเก็บเสาที่เท่าไร แถวไหน ถ้ากะบะเต็มแล้ว แค่ตะโกนเรียก “รันเนอร์” จะมีชายหนุ่มรู��งามโผล่มา อีรันเนอร์คือ เด็กวิ่งเก็บบลูเบอรี่ไปชั่ง คือหน้าที่กูมีแค่เก็บ เดี๋ยวรันเนอร์วิ่งมาเอากะบะไปชั่งเอง บางครั้งรันเนอร์หน้าตาหล่อ เราก็จะได้ยินสาวๆเรียกบ่อย และแอ๊วนางเป็นพิเศษ พอเริ่มเบื่อ ร้อน คิดถึงบ้าน ทำงานครบสี่ชั่วโมงแล้วอยากจบงาน ก็เข็นกะบะไปชั่ง แสกนบาร์โค๊ตออก

ความจริงที่นี่มีการจ่ายตามกิโล หลายคนทำเงินได้ดีจากการเก็บบลูเบอรี่ แต่ถ้าใครเก็บไม่ถึงแรงงานขั้นต่ำ ทางฟาร์มจะจ่ายแรงงานขั้นต่ำให้ แต่ถ้ามันเหี้ยจนเกินไป อย่างเช่นอยู่ทั้งวันมึงเก็บได้ 1 กะบะ มึงก็อาจจะถูกไล่ออกได้ หลายคนจึงเลือกเก็บไปเรื่อยๆชิลๆ เพราะอย่างไรก็ได้เงินอยู่แล้ว รีบไปให้เหนื่อยเท่านั้น

บรรยากาศของการทำงานข้างนอกต่างกับข้างในราวฟ้ากับเหว ข้างนอกมีอิสระเสรีและสนุกสนานมากกว่า เพราะแม่งมีหลายเชื้อชาติอยู่ในฟาร์มเดียวกัน บางทีด้านขวามึงเป็นกลุ่มคนฝรั่งเศส เปิดมาเลยครับ เทคโนแดนซ์ อีกด้านเป็นอินเดีย มึงดืม ดืย กันทั้งวัน ด้านหลังเรกเก้สาด.. เก็บไปคุยกับคนแถวตรงข้ามและด้านหลังไป ได้เพื่อนใหม่อีก เจอดีก็ดีไป กูนี่เจออีสาวคนนึงชวนคุยแต่ผัวแม่งกับเรื่องบนเตียงที่ล้วงลับล้วงลึก น่ารำคาญ ผัวจวยใหญ่ ผัวไม่ให้เจอและคุยกับผู้ชาย ผัวไม่ให้ทำนั่น ไม่ให้ทำนี่ ผัว ผัว ผัว เจอกูเบรคไปว่าผัวไม่ใช่พ่อเชื่อแม่งทำไม แม่งเลิกคุยกับกูเลย กิตติศัพย์นางระบือไกลในเรื่องความแปลก เอ่ยถึงลักษณะทุกคนร้องอ๋อทันที

ช่วงเข้าหนาว เริ่มไม่ค่อยมีคนเก็บ บ้างเตรียมหางานใหม่ บ้างออกเดินทางเที่ยวเล่น บริษัทจจึงเริ่มตั้งเงินรางวัล เช่น ใครเก็บได้ 200 กิโล ในอาทิตย์นี้ รับไปเลย 200 เหรียญ มีหรือคนจะไม่มาทำงาน บางคนมาเป็นคู่ก็จ���บมือร่วมและแบ่งเงินกันไป

ยังยังไม่จบ นี่เป็นเพียงการเริ่มต้นการบ้างานของกู

Working life in nz part2 "organics girl"

After i been unemployed suddenly, I sent heap of emails to many companies for asking a job but no luck for me . my roommate was called from blueberries orchard where is starting season and want a lot of picker . This company is quite famous company . There are more than 500 employees and massive orchard. I try everything to get a job . I woke up early morning , went to apply this job and also applied restaurants and shops in the city center .

I asked the hostel owner to do woofing in the same time for saving some money. He always gave me a simply job as cleaning living room , mowing , pack a Christmas tree that were shown in x'mas period , vacuum swimming pool etc ..

Entering third week after been a jobless , I and my Singaporean friend still were a jobless . We went out and looked for a job together. I searched and list name of orchards / pack houses in Napier - Hasting and drove to apply a job but they didn't want any worker at the moment .

Finally , we were in luck ! We walked - in to one organic farm , filled application form and had an interview with an orchard manager immediately. (Actually , they already rejected me on email but I didn't see it .) The orchard manager told us that he will contact us within 4 days if they need workers. I followed and called him at Fourth day...Yeah! We got this job ..

" Lawson True earth" is an organic farm which plant blueberries, carrots, potatoes, onions , beans and pumpkins. I was working there as a grader and packer . Mostly the pack house manager always sent me to stand at front of line and grading carrots. ( I don't know why )

Carrots will come on the roundabout . which carrot is ugly or huge , i have to hit it and throw to processing part (the restaurant and factory will buy this processing stuffs for cooking or making juice) . which is really bad will be thrown to the rubbish and tiny carrots will sent to baby carrot container . Hit carrots -throw to the right - throw to the front - throw to the back .. Fuck.. So Fun!! But in my opinion it is more tired than cherries picking because I have to use eyes and rapidity. All carrots will be pack and put at behind for weighting and putting in container

In Blueberries day, we all have to stand on the roundabout and massage blueberries whole day. Which is soft or split , send to my mouth yummm oop...put in small processing box . fucking sleepy job!

Sometime a pack house manager will ask me to pack potatoes . It is easy job but a bit tough ...because I have to lift up-off heavy potatoes and also dusty. Some people will pack onions ...

All veggies in processing part we can ask a manager and bring back home ...help yourself .... I was collecting ugly funny carrots and eating too much mash potatoes and onions soup at that time

3 weeks later , i was called for blueberries Induction and that! Is my new challenging again .

อีเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน2 "สาวปลอดสารพิษ”

ด้วยความที่ตกงานยังไม่ทันได้ตั้งตัวช่วงปีใหม่ สามสี่วันแรกยังคงอยู่ในช่วงลัลลาเที่ยวเล่นกับเพื่อนร่วมห้อง แต่พอกลับมาจากการเที่ยวเล่นได้ไม่กี่วัน กูก็กลายเป็นคนจิตตกแทน

กูพยายามส่งเมลหางานไปทั่วทุกแห่งหน แต่ไม่มีทีท่าว่าจะมีใครเรียกตัว เพื่อนร่วมห้องเริ่มทยอยได้งานเก็บบลูเบอรี่ที่ี่กำลังเปิดรับสมัคร บริษัทนี้ใหญ่สัดรัสเซีย มีพนักงานเก็บบลูเบอรี่ทีไม่ต่ำกว่า 500 คน การสมัครงานของที่นี่จะต้องไปยื่นเอกสารด้วยตัวเอง และเรียกคนไป induction เป็นรอบๆ กูแหกตาตื่นแต่ตี5 พร้อมเพื่อนร่วม Hostel ขอให้ลุงเจ้าของที่พักพาไปสมัครดู ช่วงระหว่างรองานบลูเบอรี่เรียกตัว กูก็เดินไปสมัครงานตามร้านค้า ร้านอาหาร ในตัวเมือง

อย่าลืมว่ากูยังคงต้องจ่ายค่าที่ซุกหัวนอนอยู่ กูเลยเสนอคุณลุงเจ้าของที่พัก ทำงานแลกเปลี่ยน แกก็ใจดีหาไรให้กูทำไปเรื่อย เช่น ทำความสะอาดห้องนั่งเล่น จัดหนังสือ ดูดใบไม้ ตัดหญ้า แกะต้นคริสมาสใส่กล่อง ดูดฝุ่นก้นสระว่ายน้ำ ว่างๆก็อบขนมปังแก้เซ็ง

2อาทิตย์ผ่านไป เข้าอาทิตย์ที่3 กูกับเพื่อนสาวชาวสิงคโปร์ยังคงตกงานเหมือนเดิม ช่วงนั้นนางเพิ่งซื้อรถใหม่ เราเลยแทคทีมกันไป กูเสริทหาและลิสรายชืีอสวนผลไม้และโรงแพคทุกที่ Napier – Hasting ขับรถไปสมัครงานด้วยตนเอง แต่คำตอบที่ได้มาคือ ยังไม่ต้องการคนตอนนี้

และแล้วโชคก็เข้าข้างกู... ถือเป็นความโชคดีอีกครั้ง ที่กูและสาวสิงคโปร์ตัดสินใจwalk in เข้าไป และได้กรอกใบสมัครพร้อมสัมภาษณ์กับผู้จัดการใหญ่เลยทันที ทั้งที่ความจริงแล้วทางบริษัทไม่ได้ต้องการคนและปฎิเสธกูทางอีเมลแล้ว (แต่กูไม่เห็น) ผู้จัดการใหญ่แจ้งว่าจะติดต่อกลับภายใน 4วันหากเค้าต้องการคน ผ่านไป 4 เมื่อไม่เห็นมีใครโทรมา กูก็โทรจิกอีกครั้ง ผลคือ ผู้จัดการลืม... และเรียกให้พวกเราเริ่มงานได้ทันที

Lawson True earth เป็นบริษัทที่ปลูกบลูเบอรี่เป็นของตัวเอง มีแครอท หัวหอม มันฝรั่ง ถั่ว ฟักทอง แบบปลอดสารพิษ ทีแรกกูสมัครเป็นคนเก็บบลูเบอรี่ แต่สุดท้ายกูถูกส่งตัวให้กลายเป็นเด็กแพคเสียอย่างนั้น.. งานที่ได้จะมีห���ากหลาย หลักๆคือคัดและแพค และไม่รู้ผู้จัดการโรงแพคเห็นอะไรในตัวกู นางมักส่งให้กูอยู่หัวแถวเป็นคนคัดแครอทเสมอๆ

แครอทจะไหลมาตามรางสายพาน แครอท��หนไม่สวย ใหญ่ไป กูต้องตีมันให้แตกโยนเข้าอีช่องสำหรับ "แปรรูป"(เป็นส่วนที่ร้านค้าร้านอาหารจะมารับไปทำอาหาร หรือน้ำผลไม้) เละๆโยนไปด้านข้างเป็นถังขยะ ขนาดเล็กไปโยนไปอีกตระกร้าสำหรับเบบี้แครอท วู้มันส์.. ตีแครอทโยนหน้า โยนข้าง โยนหลัง โยนพร้อมๆกัน คือต้องใช้สายตาและความไวมาก สัด! เมื่อยกว่าเก็บเชอรี่อีก อีคนแพคก็แพคไป ส่งต่อไปให้อีคนชั่ง อีคนชั่งก็ปิดปากถุง ลงลัง

บางวันไม่มีแครอทก็ไปยืนเรียงกันเป็นแถวหน้ากระดาน นวด คลึงบลูเบอรี่แม่งทั้งวัน อันไหนนิ่ม ไม่สุกดี ปริ ใส่ปากกู เอ๊ย..กะบะแปรรูป อันไหนเน่่าๆก็แยกไปอีกกะบะ เพื่อนร่วมงานบางคนนี่แดกจนจะไม่เหลือส่งไปที่อื่น55 งานบลูเบอรีีเป็นอะไรที่ง่วงสัด ถ้าไม่คุยก็จะหลับกลางอากาศ (คำเตือน ล้างบลูเบอรีี่ก่อนทุกครั้ง เพราะมันได้ผ่านมือการคลึงจากคนหลายๆคน กว่าจะลงกล่องถึงมือคุณให้แดกกัน )

บางวันทำงานแยกกลุ่ม กูถูกส่งให้ไปแพคมันฝรั่ง จนได้เรียนรู้ว่าแม่งมีหลายพันธุ์แต่ละพันธุ์เหมาะกับการแดกแบบไหน ทำงานกับมันฝรั่งนี่ได้กล้ามเนื้อ ยกขึ้นยกลง หนักสาด อีกกลุ่มไปแพคหัวหอม สนุกสนาน พืชผักที่โดนโยนลงส่วนของการแปรรูป พนักงานทุกคนสามารถเก็บกลับบ้านได้ กูนี่สะสมแครอทหน้าตาเหี้ยๆและฮิตทำมันบดมากช่วงนั้น

3 อาทิตย์ต่อมา ทางบริษัทบลูเบอรี่ก็โทรติดต่อเข้ามาให้กูไป Induction และนั่นก็เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการลองงานใหม่อีกครั้ง ...

Working life in nz part1 "cherries girl"

Well.. How i can start ? Before I came to Nz, I was planing to work and travel one city : one job until 15 months but actually, Life is not that easy what I expect …

I searched for a job in Nz from Thailand but mostly all job required for Bank account and Ird number first . One day I found one post on web-board that they can provide and help about Bank account , IRD number and accommodation .. Well, better than nothing for starting ..I contact them immediately Even I have no idea what was kind of job .

I brought 800 nzd flew from Thailand and travel in Auckland for a week and then took a bus to Napier( The city that I never heard in my life). An old man came to pick me up at bus station and brought me to his hostel. I just realize that he is a hostel owner only not farm owner. He deal with many farm and orchards , gave jobs for backpackers . I found out that many hostel in Nz do a business like this . Thus, If they give a job for you , that mean you have to stay with them too .

However, i was waiting a job for a week after arrived Napier and keep follow up him all the time. Finally , I got a first job in Nz as a “Cherries picker ”

Omahuri is a small family orchard and friendly environment . First day of my working, the owner just show us how to pick a little bit and then let’s make money!!

An owner will tell us which block to start every morning so, we just go with the ladder and start to work. Sometimes a boss will help to carry our ladder as well.

Basically, We just fill up the bucket , write the name of paper and put in the bucket then Runner , a boy will come to pick a bucket , weigh and record it. So, we can check how many buckets we do anytime .

The orchard will pay minimum rate for first 2 days and then the payment will pay by contract rate (pay as you pick) . If you can’t reach minimum rate , they will top up for you . Nevertheless, if you can’t reach minimum rate for long, you will get fire !

I was working with people from many countries .Especially, Chinese girls picked cherries so so fast .. Also kiwi workers who work in this orchard every year , they can use machine and pick more than 50-60 buckets per day … What’s about me ?? 19 buckets on my first day !!!

Beside European and Asian people . There are many people from Vanuatu island. Usually, they will come to work around fruit picking season October to April every year.

After 2-3 days i was getting use to picking ..I can make 25 buckets in half day .I was trying so hard to pick more faster but I never win 2 Chinese girls who pick as a machine !

My shoulder and neck was so sore in First week because I had to carry 5 kg. bucket , go up-down on 3 meters ladder all time . Moreover , my hands were so numb and pain every night while I was sleeping . ..but..For MONEY i can do!

This orchard is so nice and a boss is very kind . They always gave free cherries to workers every week and gave one big box for x'mas gift .

3 weeks gone …. Cherries season was going over , I started to looking for a new job but i still didn’t get any job yet then the orchard ’s owner told us on New year Eve .. “Today is last dayyyy”  Fakkk  I became a jobless again ! “

อีเต็มกับชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว ตอน1 "สาวเชอรีี”

วันนี้มาเล่าเรื่องอะไรเป็นงานเป็นการดีกว่า ทุกวันนี้ที่กูเร่ร่อนเดินทางไปมาได้ ่ใช่ว่าขี้เป็นทอง แต่เพราะกูทำงานเป็นเอเชี่ยนบ้าพลังมาก่อน กูคิดแต่ต้นแล้วว่าจะพยายามเที่ยวแม่งให้ครบทุกที่ในNz ทำงานที่ล่ะเดือน ย้ายเมืองไปเรื่อยๆ จนครบ15 เดือน แต่ความเป็นจริง ชีวิตแม่งไม่ได้ง่ายเหมือนเห็นแกะ หลังจากมาอยู่ได้หนึ่งเดือน กูเลยเปลี่ยนความตั้งใจทำงานเก็บเงินก่อน แล้วค่อยท่องเที่ยวทีหลัง ถ้าเป็นพวกเด็กยุโรปมันก็คงจะเที่ยวไป ทำงานไป บางคนทำแค่อาทิตย์เดียวไปเที่ยวอีกล่ะ .. แต่ไม่คร่า… กูเป็นพวกเอเชี่ยนผู้หิวเงิน ..

กูเริ่มต้นจากการหางานที่ในเมืองไทยล่วงหน้าประมาณ 3 -4 ดือน (นานไปไหมว่ะ?) ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ล้วนต้องการคนที่มี Bank account และ IRD number (เลขผู้เสียภาษ)ี เรียบร้อยแล้ว จนกระทั่งกูไปเจอประกาศงานหนึ่ง ที่ระบุว่าสามารถจัดการทั้ง Bank account , IRD number และที่พักให้ได้ เอาว่ะ เริ่มต้นมันคงต้องแบบนี้ .. งานเหี้ยไรไม่รู้แหละ

กูหอบเงินสองหมื่นบาทไทยเสี่ยงดวง แรดอยู่ใน. Auckland ประมาณหนึ่งอาทิตย์ และนั่งรถต่อไป Napier คุณลุงสูงวัยที่ติดต่อไว้มารับทีีท่ารถและพากูไปที่พัก กูมาถึงบางอ้อว่า จริงๆแล้วแกเป็นเจ้าของ Hostel อย่างเดียว แต่รับหาเด็กที่มา WAH แบบกูส่งไปตามฟาร์มต่างๆเพื่อทำงาน แกเองก็น่าจะได้เปอร์เซ็นต์จากตรงนี้ด้วย ซึ่งHostel ส่วนใหญ่ใน Nz ก็ทำแบบนี้เช่นเดียวกัน ฉะนั้นเหมือนเป็นข้อผูกมัดกลายๆว่าเราต้องพักกับแกนะแล้วแกก็จะหางานให้

ทว่าชีวิตมิได้โรยด้วยกลีบกุหลาบอย่างที่คิด เพราะว่ากูต้องแก่วต่อไปอีกหนึ่งอาทิตย์เนื่องจากลุงแกไม่มีงานอะไรให้กูทำ กูเองก็คอยตามจิกตามประกบลุงตลอด เผื่อแกมีงานอะไรมาจะได้ส่งมาให้กูทันท่วงที จนในที่สุดกูก็ได้งานแรกกับเค้าเสียที…. “คนเก็บเชอรี่”

Omahuri เป็นสวนเล็กๆ ระบบครอบครัว มีผลไม้หลายหลาก วันแรกของการทำงาน เจ้าของสวนไม่พูดไรมาก พาเข้าสวน โชว์จิกเชอรี่์มา1พวง แล้วบอก “อ่ะ มึงเก็บแบบนี้ บันไดอยู่นี่” จบ.. บางครั้งเจ้าของสวนก็มาช่วยแบกบันไดด้วย บันไดไม่สูงเท่าไรหร๊อก 3 เมตร เอง

ทุกเช้าเจ้าของสวนจะแจงว่าให้ไปเก็บบล็อกไหน เราก็ไปเก็บตามที่เค้าต้องการ พอเก็บจนเต็มถังก็เขียนชื่อใส่กระดาษ วางกระดาษบนถัง และเก็บต่อไป หากเจอลูกไหนสวย กูก็แดกก่อนนนนนนนน เป็นค่าผ่านทาง บางลูกใหญ่สะนึกว่าปิงปอง

เริ่มงาน 2 วันแรก ทางสวนจ่ายเป็นแรงงานขั้นต่ำก่อน หลังจากนั้นคือของจริง มึงเก็บเท่าไร กูจ่ายมึงตามกิโลเท่านั้น หมดวันแรกกูได้อยู่ประมาน 19 ถัง เฉียดๆแรงงานขั้นต่ำต่อวัน ถ้าเก็บได้น้อยกว่าแรงงานขั้นต่ำ ทางสวนก็จะเพิ่มให้จนเท่ากับแรงงานขั้นต่ำต่อวัน กูเคยถามเจ้าของสวนเล่นๆว่า แล้วถ้าเก็บไม่ถึงแรงงานขั้นต่ำต่อวันเลยล่ะ .. นางตอบมา.. “ก็คงต้องไล่มึงออก"

ทางสวนจะมีเด็กเก็บถังเชอรี่ นางจะเป็นคนชั่ง และคอยจดว่าเราเก็บได้เท่าไร สาวจีนสองคนที่มาเก็บครึ่งวันเช้านางเล่นเก็บปาไป เกือบ 30ถัง ไม่นับกับคนกี่วี่ที่มาทำงานให้ที่นี่ทุกปี พวกนี้มีรถไฮดรอริกเก็บได้ตั้งแต่พื้นยันยอด เก็บกันทีวันนึง 50-60 ถังต่อวัน กลับมาดูกูทั้งวันอีห่า โดนไล่ออกแน่กู

นอกจากแรงงานจากยุโรปและเอเชียอย่างกูแล้ว ยังมีชาวเกาะจากวานูอาตูที่มาทำงานให้สวนนี้ทุกปี ปีนึงมาทำ 6-7 เดือน และกลับบ้านพัก ใช้เงิน..

2-3 วันต่อมา จากค่อยๆรำเก็บเชอรี่ กูเริ่มมีความเคยชิน รู้เทคนิึคมากขึ้น กูไม่ยอมน้อยหน้าเร่งสปีดให้เร็วขึ้น จนได้ 25 ถังภายในครึ่งวัน แต่ไม่สามารถชนะอีสาวจีนได้เลยสักทีให้ตาย กูเก็บเร็วเท่าไร นางเก็บเร็วยิ่งกว่า

อาทิตย์แรกของการเก็บ โอ้โห… ไหล่คอระบม เพราะแบกถังเชอรี่ทั้งวัน แถมยังต้องปีนขึ้นลงบันไดอีกหน้าขา ตูดเติด ฟิตปั๋ง ทุกครั้งที่นอนหลับจะต้องตื่นขึ้นมากลางดึกเพราะมือชาจนปวดไปหมด แต่.. เพื่อเงินกูทำได้

เจ้าของที่นี่ใจดีมาก แจกเชอรี่ฟรีทุกอาทิตย์ คริสมาสต์ก็ให้อีกกล่องสองโลเต็มๆ ช่วงนั้นขี้คล่องเหมือนการใช้จ่าย…. สามอาทิตย์ผ่านไปการงานกำลังไปได้สวย แต่ฤดูเชอรี่กำลังจะหมด กูเริ่มเตรียมตัวหางานใหม่ แต่ยังไม่ทันได้งานใหม่ เจ้าของสวนก็ประกาศสายฟ้าแล๊บ ณ วันสิ้นปี “วันนี้วันสุดท้ายนะทุกโคนนนน” …

สัด! ลาก่อนความเป็นเศรษฐีณี….แล้วกู…ก็กลับมาตกงานอีกครั้ง…
