An interview with TANUSHREE : INDIA’S CITIZEN SQUAD 2021 Contestant on Discovery Channel
What motivates and inspires you to take modeling as a career, and what made you make this decision.
I was body-shamed in school and used to be very unhealthy. I was always sad, but my father motivated me to get out of bed and maintain myself one day. I decided to change, and that was the turning point in my life. I hit the gym and randomly started clicking pictures. It was the most unconscious decision, and I started getting attention. I became a fitness and bikini model. My family’s motivation opened my eyes to the fitness world, and my constant motivation is the secret behind my success.
For more information, Click Here:
https://mypencildotcom.in/an-interview-with-tanushree-indias-citizen-squad-2021-contestant-on-discovery-channel/
     2. How did featuring on the discovery channel happen?
INDIA’S CITIZEN SQUAD 2021: I was randomly watching the Discovery channel with my family, and an advertisement came up that focused on featuring fitness in the Indian Citizens. I sent the video working out randomly, and after one audition and a fitness challenge, I got in. That’s when I found my journey. Featuring on Discovery became the most significant achievement of my life, I shot for it in Kashmir, and I was thrilled by the experience. I received applause from everyone I knew.
3.What has changed in your life after that show? Do you have any further goals or ambitions?
It motivated me more towards my fitness career. That was it for me, even though I never thought I could do it. But it was my destiny. Being a fitness influencer defined my purpose in life. It helped me believe in myself, and I never looked back!
4. Who were you before this show?
Being an army kid, I traveled to a lot of places. I was a fine arts student, but I dropped out of college. For me, education has to be applied in life and not just reading. I realized this and wanted to do something on my own. There are many opportunities apart from education, and it’s just the society speaking! You have to decide your fate.
     5. When you chose a career in modeling, how do you face the obstacles?
Initially, when I started, I thought back to answering was the thing. But eventually, I realized that’s not it! Kindness is the best answer to these obstacles. Reply to hate with kindness, and it can turn the tables around. All the odds go away when you become successful.
     6. How well do you handle the pressure?
The nervousness inside me makes my work bright. Playing smart is the mantra. You pretend to be comfortable. Fake it till you make it! Be it anything in life, whenever pressure is forming, act like you own the situation and achieve your goals.
  7. What are your hobbies?
Creation is my hobby. I love making new things, composing a song, or painting. Just creating something makes me happy. I always loved singing and always thought of myself as a singer.
     8. During your journey, how did you cope up with the hurdles?
It was not easy. I even joined the gym to lose weight. It was frustrating and tiring, I was stressed, but I held on and stuck to my goal. I pretended till I made it. I would go to the gym even if I didn’t want to do it. Now it is entirely different because I survived the hard times. Currently, working out is like worshiping. My father always told me, “your health is your biggest wealth,” and I stuck to it.
     9. What is your goal ten years down the line?
I want recognition. I want to set an example for everyone out of time that when you want it so bad, no one can stop you from achieving it! This profession is bold, and I want everyone to accept it and move on from the stereotypes!
    10. One message that you want to give to my pencil dotcom.
“Discipline and determination over motivation, because your determination is the only thing that will help you during the hard times. Discipline is the key to success!”

As a professional designer I always had this word in my mind I have an idea but how will I sell it , or the prospect would believe in this technology so built every block from scratch and got artism this far. Artism journey has had its ups and downs as all entrepreneurs are enthusiastic to learn new things. As an individual, I always saw my dream to be a reality. SANJANA NAGENDRAN : ARTISM vision 5 years down the line is to create a smart home that allows homeowners to control appliances, thermostat, lights, and other devices using a smartphone or tablet through an internet connection. Smart home technology provides homeowners with convenience and cost saving and mainly to avoid security risk, some home automation systems that could alert the homeowners if any motion is detected the alarm would buzz to the homeowners. We would love to combine design and smart homes.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: As an interior designer, what piece in your portfolio are you most proud of?
SANJANA NAGENDRAN: RED LYNCH HERITAGE STAY- This was my first project where as I had to redo the home with complete new interior the owner was Gemini Ganesan the Tamil actor who owned the property at Kodaikanal. An old heritage home built over a hundred years ago and is located in a sprawling compound. A beautiful stone thrown pathway from the centre of the lake, a gracious English countryside home . It was a beautiful spacious independent bungalow with all the valley views. I started to design the elements of nature ,brick, wood plants , water, sunlight , whereas I chose earthy and modern decorating style, setting up from terrarium, wicker chairs & using sheesham wood. I began designing by using brick as a backdrop or could say focal point ,floral patterns to the linen, and French windows gave an aspect for natural lighting.TADA!!the home was done in the span of 3 months.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : . Who has been your inspiration all these years and kept you going even after the setbacks?
SANJANA NAGENDRAN: My inspiration has always been Priyanka Chopra her words keep the fire inside me ignited where she refers herself to phenix , some of the lines which defines an independent artist or an entrepreneur you can be anything, you fall , get up, make mistakes, learn from them,be human and be you. All the choices she has made and has shown creating the world of legacy, she said don’t try to squeeze into a glass slipper, instead shatter the glass ceiling.
Sustained business during Pandemic?
MYPENCILDOTCOM: How much did this pandemic affect your business? And how did you come out stronger when your business grew stagnant?
SANJANA NAGENDRAN: Covid has impacted  many lives and mine was no different in this matter. I too came to a stagnant zone for some time. Later, I understood that it was time to fight and bring more. And within no time, my luxury collection came out. I kept my motivation high and came up with new ideas for my business even during the lockdown.
MYPENCILDOTCOM:   You’re an inspiration. What would you like to tell the younger generations and our readers?
SANJANA NAGENDRAN: Don’t be afraid of solitary journeys, being responsible for your success and failure makes you stronger, women or men should be financially independent.

Inspiring Success of Jubin Nautiyal & Special Message to his fans: Exclusive Interview with Jubin Nautiyal.
How his Singing Career Started?
MYPENCILDOTCOM: You’re an exceptional singer. How did you begin your singing career?
Jubin Nautiyal:  As far as I remember, music has always been with me. It is something that has made me find peace in myself, get away from the chaos and get a tranquil soul. Being precise music started when I was at a very young age, I was always drawn towards music. However, my father had a passion for music that played a major role in my career. As it led me to understand music better than other stuff that I was working on at that time. I always felt a connection with music ever since I got to know about it, music kind of grew along with me. I had music as a subject in college and my school as well, and I was always intense about my love for music. It was in 10th standard when I realised that I want to pursue my career in music. It was always about that 1-hour music at night that made me happy. It just made me who I am today.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: You too must’ve had many ups and downs in your career. What did those ups and downs teach you?
Jubin Nautiyal: In my opinion ups and downs are a crucial part of life and are necessary for a human being to evolve. Especially in the life of an artist, as an artist, it is important to see the downs in life and watch yourself rise above those downs to the ups. These ups and downs support you to be grounded no matter how successful you become. The main thing that these ups and downs taught me was, how to sail through life’s phases. It means that you shouldn’t work to impress others but yourself.
You’re like a rubber string the more the world pulls you down, the more you rise above the odds. For me, becoming a promising successful artist was more crucial than becoming a successful artist.
Latest Release :
MYPENCILDOTCOM: We’re all big fans of your music. Tell us something about your latest releases.
Jubin Nautiyal: I am delighted to hear that. Well, my third wave of music was released recently, I have released 4 top songs of the country and I am extremely enthusiastic to hear the feedback on them. First is ‘Barsaat ki Dhun’ which is trending from day 1, the second is ‘Hanjugam’ which is a delightfully romantic song from the movie ‘Bhuj’, then there is ‘Dil Lauta Do’ which is a classic single with Sunny and Saiyami, and then there is ‘ Raataan Lambiyan’ from the movie Shershah which is a love ballad. Now I have come up with another classic song on the 9th of August. Post that I am going to take a month’s break before I come up with another wave of songs. I am extremely delighted with the overwhelming response of the audience. I am grateful for all the comments and the love from the audience.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: How have you been able to use social media during these unprecedented times? Are you finding that you use it, even more, to stay connected to fans and other musicians?
Jubin Nautiyal:  Before the pandemic struck, I didn’t spend much time on social media, but covid gave me time to understand social media. Honestly, I was reluctant to use it because of the privacy issues and its nasty environment. Over the years I have gathered friends who love me and want to be connected with me. I also make sure that I don’t overuse it. Lately, I watch people sitting together but engaged in some other world. I always try to make the best use of it. Connecting to other musicians is always via phone calls but with the fans, it is social media, they give unbiased opinions on my work.
Jubin Nautiyal: Talent plays a major role in people’s lives. In whichever field you are, there are gonna be people behind a table who will judge you. In the line of artists, we are millions and billions of people who work on a song. We might make an average song and it turns out to be a hit, and at times you make a massive song that does not get support from the audience. I suppose this is what is the best essence of our work, as in we don’t just have a couple of people behind the table judging us. In the field of music and other artistic fields, your work speaks. An artist always enjoys expressing himself/herself. Talent is something inner. People think it is a promotion that plays a major role but it is the art that brings success. It is important to just express yourself as an artist and then let people see how you shine bright. This is what talent is.
Support In fulfilling dreams?
MYPENCILDOTCOM: Your parents must’ve had a major role in your music career. How did your parents support you in fulfilling your dreams?
Jubin Nautiyal: The entire credit for my music career goes to my loving parents. It is never easy for a kid to step out into this harsh world. When I stepped out of this small town and went to Mumbai. My parents backed me up financially, emotionally and they became the backbone of my music. It took me a while to realise that we had finally made my dream come true. Everything that I am today is because of the unending support and love from my parents.
MYPENCILDOTCOM:  You’re from Dehradun, which is one beautiful small town. How connected are you to the people who live there and how much do you miss it?
Jubin Nautiyal:  I have been living in my hometown for 2 years now and it has my heart.
Dehradun is like that town in Lord of the rings ‘Hobbit’ where everybody knows everybody and are strongly connected. People spend as much time as possible with each other. The locals have rich cultural values. I feel Dehradun is a part of me and I have friends here who I am in touch with always, we love exploring, trekking. I am proud to have been born in such a rich and beautiful city in the heart of Uttarakhand.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: Today you’re the heartthrob of the entire nation. How was your first on-stage performance and how has your journey been since then?
Jubin Nautiyal:  With the years passing by, I realised how deeply my music has sown seeds in the hearts of people. I am usually surrounded by people giving me support and love throughout my journey including my team. There are a whole bunch of people behind a successful artist. My first performance was when I was around 6 years old, I was hiding my face behind the lyrics’ paper because I was scared. From that day till today, there is a lot that my journey has taught me. I say ‘ Main Ek Safar main hoon aur main use Safar main rehna Chahta hoon’ I work well when I am on a journey rather than at a destination. I always want to keep growing as an artist and more as a human being.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: From where have you got the inspiration to never give up and keep going? How do you suggest it to your near and dear ones?
Jubin Nautiyal: My family has been my greatest support system. My two beautiful elder sisters, my strong mother and my doting father.
Apart from this my manager Mr Khanna, my cameraman Mr Yash, my producers Mr Ibrahim, Mr Adityadev. It is pure love that binds us all together. They always keep me going regardless of the situation. I’m grateful to them for their support and love. I would also like to mention my team at T-series Mr Raj, Mr Shivam, Ms Sonal, Mr Bhushan Kumar. We together make a spectacular team and give the audience the best of our potential. My inspiration is my father, we come from a region called Jaunsar Bawar which is a backward region. The people out there are full of humility and self-respect, my father comes from a farmers family and still proved to be a successful good man. My mother is my inspiration, the values that she gave me. I manage to get up every time I fall just because of my mother.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: We loved getting to know you so much. Please share a message with our readers/your beloved fans.
Jubin Nautiyal:  To all the worthy readers, I hope you are all good and healthy. Please know that music is the most special language in the world. It connects people regardless of their caste, class, religion. Music is a universal language that keeps the world from breaking apart. I feel grateful that I can express my music and I am grateful for you that you support me, love my music. Thank you so much for always being there for me and for blessing me. Lots of love.

Miss India Earth Alankrita talks to Mypencildotcom about her Inspiring Life Journey
Mypencildotcom: Please tell us your story about the Lokhandwala market incident & then denying the ad for A well-known brand in Thailand?
Alankrita: Well long story short Me and my best friend were shopping as we had heard a lot about the market, we decided to take a look and see what the craze is all about. Indeed it was a delight. We shopped a lot but were so picky that we at least took a couple of rounds back and forth. Someone had an eye out for us or probably just noticed us and walked up to us and did pat me from the back and I was taken aback. Coming from Delhi it’s a defense mechanism to be ready to beat them up Incase they Harass you, that wasn’t the case here. He was polite and was a casting agent. He mentioned the details about the tvc and told me to come and audition as I had a pretty face and I should try and act. He did ask me if I had any prior experiences or did any course. To his surprise I did, for that, I thank my parents and teachers and educational institutions and my classical dancing. I was pretty shocked though to have been stopped and asked to come in and test for it my best friend was the opposite she was super excited about the whole thing for me and was the one to push me to go ahead and she would accompany me as my guardian. And there I was saying my name age height and profile on aboard.
I did my part and walked out after filling an excel sheet. A few days later I got a call back saying I was selected and had to come in to meet the direction team and do my trials for the outfits and send and my passport copy. I was flabbergasted because I thought it was some trap like you at times see in films. I had every possible notion in my head from kidnapping to what not rush to my membranes in milliseconds to stop my from doing it and yes I was unaware, I was extremely grateful but scared at the same time and I had not informed my parents either so I skipped it and said no. But that incident was special and scary for a young kid who got lucky. And here I am today !! That was my calling in a way but I neglected the signs from the universe.
Mypencildotcom: Pls, tell us about your Journey to Miss India.
Alankrita: It was eventful and interesting. My best friend again played a major role in this, she sent my pictures that my bosses had nudged me to get clicked while I was working with a corporate and they kept feeding the idea that I should try my luck in the industry. So I did a few gigs too before miss India even happened, some were great some were mistakes. And then my BFF filled my form and sent it across to miss India after I showed her my folio, she was so happy I got them clicked that she just couldn’t resist her butterfingers.
She is gorgeous but told me you have the courage and the will to do it and make this happen for all of us (this was after I found out she had done what comes next ) I got a call from them for the final rounds in Mumbai and I was surprised as it wasn’t me who filled the form but then they were requesting for some more details and also confirmed my email with me to send me the requirements that were necessary for me to have for the final round in Mumbai and guess what it was an email I’d that was mine but not mine it was ours and that’s how I knew it was her who had been Mischievous lately. And then she and my friends convinced me to go ahead and make them proud and so I tried and succeeded. It was a great experience and very different for me too keeping in mind I was a total tomboy. A lot of transformation took place.
Mypencildotcom: Initially, almost 10,000 + Girls competing to get into the top 16 of Miss India, pls share about that moment of observation & how you overcome those fears/challenges?
Alankrita: It was a fulfilling experience. Seeing so many beautiful women vying for the same crown can be overwhelming. But I always believed that no matter what I won’t let people and their negativity get to me. Even if it meant to have a shield on to protect my little fragile heart which is equally strong but didn’t want to be hurt or involved in petty politics. Most of the time I was seen as a threat but also was seen as someone who is fiercely guarded and arrogant or rude because I had my walls high and hardly let people in until u could trust them. I had a blast no doubt but I was always aware that I’m here to have fun and compete and if I don’t make it it’s not the end of the world. I was extremely driven and I learned so much from the girls from my batch.
Fear is inevitable but the courage to overcome it is even more challenging but that’s what tests our willpower and how much we truly love ourselves and are ready to accept it than run away from it and fight back. I have been a fighter always. I can’t give up on people or situations. I find it hard at times to let go which is not good at times too. But I learned how to be kinder to myself and others and I learned more about how fear is mostly self-created than absorbed than handed to us. The power of NO and the Power to draw my boundaries is what I learned. I dint overcome them overnight it’s a process. I was just happy to be there and was grateful for them to see something in me and push me ahead.
Mypencildotcom: How was your experience working in the film love per square foot and how did you get it.
Alankrita: It was exhilarating and divine. It was my first project. What do you think? I was so happy I also had a lucky charm back then that I thought helped me get it. Haha. But it was a delight. The team was warm and super professional at the same time.
Our casting director honey Trehan Ji called me for an audition, I gave it, and months down the line I forgot about it thinking I didn’t get it. So I got a call back to test with Vicky and our brilliant director Anand Tiwari. And bam after a few days I get a call back from Anand saying we all are convinced you are our Rashi for the film and he took a leap of faith in me and so did Ronny sir and I guess it was meant to be then.
Mypencildotcom: In one of the interviews, you had mentioned that you always wanted to become an IAS Or IFS Officer? How things changed from that to being in the industry?
Alankrita: Yes I did have dreams about serving my nation and making India proud. I wanted my name to be associated with some form of glory when it came to my nation because both my grandfathers served the nation. It was an honor to have known them. Seeing them listening to them made me want to. But then destiny had other plans as I mentioned above and I became a Miss India Winner and Won 7 titles for my county and made my people proud in some way and even today I continue to serve my people in whatever way I can as a human being it doesn’t just end here.
Mypencildotcom: The Video album with Himesh Reshammiya, “AAP Se Mausiquii”, How was it working for a video album.
Alankrita: To be launched by one of India’s superstar singers and composer, having T series as the label and Amitabh Ji along with other celebrities come in support and launch the album on a huge scale was nice and as a newcomer. I felt welcomed and appreciated.
Mypencildotcom: Do you feel India is changing as Nation, and being an Independent woman is very important?
Alankrita: India is changing slowly and steadily. Change is inevitable and will always push the comfort zones of many people who are inherently avid supporters of the Patriarchal societal norms. Well, women have always had the power but they lacked the Courage because we were condemned or some powerful women were condoned. Some were confined to rituals and norms and were told to keep shut and just follow the lead by men and women alike. Women are the co-creators Nurturers and harbingers. So what’s changed is … awareness, acceptance of less than has changed to we are equals, education, self-realization, and definitely many other mediums have helped them see who they truly are. Women are Saraswati Lakshmi Durga and have all the Devi’s inside them hence our power had been taken away from us because people are scared to see women in power!
Women are now standing up for themselves and many can’t digest that and I feel sorry for them. We just want to lead beside you and be respected for our decisions, dressing, and demands. We are not here to compete we are already winning at life while we multitask but we are here to be your equal, love our sexuality and our beauty, and be your strength. We are fearless now and that changes a lot of things for people including women who condemn and bitch about other women too in their respective households. We need to be empowered by empowering each other rather than turning our backs and name-calling one another. Don’t let them have the power to discourage you or defame you.
Mypencildotcom: Where do you see yourself 10 years down the line?
Alankrita: Happily married with kids. Running a successful business and doing interiors As well As an actor Successful and loved by people. Healthy and Wiser
Mypencildotcom: One message for Mypencildotcom magazine readers & Viewers?
Alankrita: Stay at home and get vaccinated. Be kinder to yourself and others, we tend to be harsh given the circumstances and the frustration. Even Instagram can make you have an identity crisis looking at all the glitz and glam but you are as precious as anyone with a blue tick. You are unique and have your calling. Help as much as you can. Don’t be in a hurry. I love you and I will keep doing my best to make you proud and make you fall in love with me more.

Her father was so supportive that he went to the extent of playing her father on screen in the music video. As the role to be played was that of a classical dancer, she put in her blood, sweat, and tears into the rigorous 8 months of training for his role as she didn’t have any previous dance training. From Hindi diction, voice throwing lessons to intricate theatre training, everything was practiced for this role. Chandni asks Preeti to explain her source of positivity and motivation to keep going.
Preeti exclaims that everyone faces hurdles in life, and needs to learn to take life in its stride. Surrender to the flow of life by not worrying about things unnecessarily. Preeti advises doing a little yoga and hydrating yourself to shift your mindset. Ms.Chandni asks about the famous instance when a mob of fans overshadowed an album promotion at the Hallmark Store in Pune and how they made her feel?
When Preeti Jhangiani struck among fans…
Preeti goes on to explain that she did her first music video “Yeh hai Prem” with Abbas at the age of 16. While at 17, she did the infamous Rajshri Music Video which struck a chord with fans. Preeti also went on to do a series of music videos in the form of a continuous story.
Chandni asks Preeti, where does she see herself 10 years down the line in the competitive Bollywood Industry? Preeti reveals her longing to do more acting as she has a lot to offer in that capacity. She wants to play challenging characters to explore her wavelength as an actor. She is grateful to still be making and producing stories that entertain people. She also exclaims that if she produces the film, it would be hard to act in the same film.
Ms.Chandni asks Preeti to reveal when she felt that a particular moment was the turning point in her life? Preeti is stumped by this question as she was very young when she started her professional journey which made her not realize the turning point in her career. In her expansive repertoire of Hindi and regional language films, she considers ” Mohabbatein” to be that turning point in her life.
Chandni asks Preeti to inform us of the changes that her life has gone through during the Covid-19 lockdown? Preeti has had a lot of time to spend with her family and her dear children. But as a working woman and a mother trying to juggle everything on top of household chores, she is left with no time at the end of the day.
Preeti Jhangiani’s message to MYPENCILDOTCOM Readers & viewers..
Chandni concludes the interview by asking Preeti for an inspiring message for the audience & readers of mypencildotcom magazine. Preeti humbly ends with the phrase “This too shall pass”.

Minissha Lamba talks about her 3 Cutest friends in her life right now : Exclusive Interview
She is a witty and joyous human who never ever gives up no matter what. She has tons of favourite songs from her movies Kidnap, Bachna Ae Haseeno etc. Her priorities are being happy, independent and working with her entire potential.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: As a child, what was your dream to become when you grow up?
MINISSHA LAMBA: As a child I wanted to be a lot of things when I grow old, it literally used to change every week, at times I wanted to be an astronaut, lawyer. When I entered college, I wanted to become a journalist who would report in conflict areas. My parents were really disturbed by this, they said “you want to go to conflict areas for journalism!!” I said I want to report in areas like Syria, Peru etc. Somehow acting happened and I couldn’t pursue conflict journalism which relieved my parents.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: Gigi is basically the closest to you. How old is she?
MINISSHA LAMBA: Gigi is like the most destructive pup and the youngest among the three I have. She is 6 months old and she loves being around me. I’m usually always happy when my pup is around me during my interviews and she loves playing a lot.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : You somehow didn’t pursue conflict journalism. How did you land into Bollywood then?
MINISSHA LAMBA: I couldn’t pursue journalism because during my college days, I was into modelling and advertisements too. One of the ads that I did was for Sujeet Sarkar. He wanted someone to play the role of Athra and he found me perfect! I would say acting happened by chance.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : We all have many ups and downs. You manage these roller coasters of life incongruously , you say we shouldn’t plan much about the future rather focus on today. Why is it so?
MINISSHA LAMBA:  People change with time, they get experiences over time and nobody is gonna be the same person as they were when they were younger. It goes for me as well, my ideologies might change 5-6 years from now. Throughout your life, you don’t want to be the same person having that one thought all your life.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: So currently you’re not thinking much about the future, you’re just  living in the present. Am I right?
MINISSHA LAMBA: I feel that the pandemic that has been going since last year is almost like a Third World War. The kind of damage that it has done to humans globally is almost similar to the damage that happens after a war.The difference being that no harm is caused to the cities but to the people living there. For me this perception to focus on the present is the only thing that can keep me going despite everything. Also there has to be a balance between living life to the fullest as well as planning things.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: Bollywood is a strenuous industry to be in. You’ve been in Bollywood for a long time now. According to you, how much does professional relationships matter in Bollywood and how crucial is it in the success or failure of a person? [ out of curiosity 😉 ]
MINISSHA LAMBA: In my opinion professional relations matter to a certain extent, after that it is majorly your box office success because I don’t think that anyone is going to leverage crores and crores on someone just because of these relations. It’s purely business decisions that are going to take place after this as the stakes are just too high.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : You’ve done tons of films and all of them were a treat to the eyes. Can you name one movie that is really close to your heart?
MINISSHA LAMBA : There are quite a few actually from ‘Yahaan’ my very first film to ‘Anthony Kaun hain’ with Raj Kausal. These were such fun experiences. It was my first sync sound film and was really a memorable experience. Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Shaurya, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Kidnap. Mr. Shyam Benegal’s film ‘Well done Abba’ was a tremendously astounding experience too! Most of my experiences have been great and I’ve been fortunate enough to work with such wonderful people.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : You were doing great in movies. How did BigBoss strike your mind?
MINISSHA LAMBA : I had been getting proposals for Big Boss almost every year so I thought why not give it a try. Reality shows were something that I never really did and hence I decided to give it a try.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : These days there is a huge hype for Web series. Have you ever considered working in a web series? If yes, which genre will you be interested in?
MINISSHA LAMBA: Definitely I would be working in a Web Series. Lately I’ve been reading different scripts. The process is on, as in I’m getting to know the stories and other facts.
MYPENCILDOTCOM:  What is one thing in acting that you haven’t tried yet and really want to try? What character would you like to play in that?
MINISSHA LAMBA: I really thought that I wanted to do a period historical drama but then I don’t really like dressing up much in the sense of wearing heavy jewellery. So I rethought this. Honestly I love period historical dramas. I would really like to play the character of a warrior. Not in real life but I have this fantasy of living the life of a character like a warrior.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : You mentioned the pandemic, what lesson did you learn from it? What did you observe which further helped you as an individual?
MINISSHA LAMBA: I want to live life the way it comes and take happiness like one at a time. It is like you never know what is coming your way so why not to live in the moment. I also bought my two lovely pups during the lockdown and they’re a family to me since they’ve been here. There’s one more that I bought before lock down and the pandemic. They’re Biki, Kiki and Gigi. Biki is the most shy one and she loves winters.
MYPENCILDOTCOM : What message would you like to convey to our readers?
MINISSHA LAMBA: I would say that ‘Take good care of yourself’  more than anyone or anything else you must prioritize yourself. Self care is what I would advocate to your readers.

Inspirational journey of an Academic Evangelist and International Education Pride-2021 Awardee : Kalpna
“Life journey of an Academic Evangelist by gaining momentum through various pedagogies and implementing them in real classrooms”- Kalpna Chauhan
MYPENCILDOTCOM :     What is the mantra you stick to for teaching your students?
KC : My mantra for teaching students is very simple. Do not go the way you want to go, rather assess varied needs of your students and accordingly tailor your teaching style as per them.
In short the teaching-learning process has to be student centric. There could be a question here about how to cater different kinds of learners in the same class.
The answer to that would be to classify various kinds of learners. As per the research till date there are generally VAK (Visual, Auditory or Kinesthetic)  learners in any class. Therefore, the teacher needs to ensure using visual aids, audio aids and activities (experiential learning) to explain any topic/concept.
MYPENCILDOTCOM :      What are your horizons for teaching?
KC : I am more of a trainer than a teacher. As far as my horizon is concerned it is gradually increasing with exposure. Few of my current training highlights are mentioned below:
In the last decade, training needs for teachers have risen. Schools are being more proactive in training their resources and that’s how private institutions have started assisting schools and their varied stakeholders. Nowadays, many trainers are available for training teachers, principals, students and even for parent orientation sessions. Last year when NEP 2020 (National Education Policy) came in public, it created a buzz for the burning need of teachers’ training.
MYPENCILDOTCOM :  What are the most common issues/needs these people come to you with?
MYPENCILDOTCOM   :  Tell us more about your training program.
KC :My training programs are generally tailored as per the needs of schools. For example, in a country like ours there are classifications in cities/towns such as Tier1, Tier2 or Tier3 cities. Schools in  Tier1 city might need some assistance in experiential learning or Schools in Ter3 city might need some assistance in utilising visual aids effectively in classrooms. There could be cases where the number of students in a class is above 50 or at the same time it is 20 in another one. Hence, planning a training session as per their resources and needs are very much significant and challenging too.
Since last year Online classes have become an integral part and teachers were not familiar with this before. Therefore,  there were many requests coming up for ‘ways of making online sessions more effective’ and accordingly they were trained on using multiple resources for the same.
In short, with over a decade of experience in the education domain now, I am very flexible and comfortable in dealing with new topics in trend. Infact, I prefer exploring new ones and expanding my horizon on a daily basis.
MYPENCILDOTCOM   : Tell us more about your journey as a coach.
KC :My journey as a Coach has really been experiential rather than being bookish. So far I have groomed more than 10K educational stakeholders including Teachers, Students and Parents.  Since last year I started going LIVE on various social media platforms also with some of my training capsules. I really got a tremendous response from my audience; and their engagement and appreciation gives me more fuel and energy. I currently have a Facebook page and Youtube Channel where I keep on posting a lot of content that I feel could help others.
It can be accessed at Facebook Link & Youtube Link .
MYPENCILDOTCOM   :   What are your qualifications to practice in this particular field?
KC :Well, as far as my qualifications are concerned I did MBA in Human Resource and MSc in International Business. Both these courses helped me in identifying my innate skills and passion. I have always been a good observer, presenter, communicator and negotiator. Therefore, these courses helped me in building up my career profile as a Trainer and with experience in the education sector I could learn varied educational researches and their implications in the school segment. Apart from this I am a Certified Parenting Coach, Blended Learning Expert and Student Counsellor from various private institutions like Coursera  and Udemy
MYPENCILDOTCOM :   Do you think that these methods are more effective than the mainstream education system?
KC :Education today is about to take a 360 degree turn with NEP implementation. So far we have been following Lord Mccalley’s education policy as our mainstream education system but it is clearly evident that it’s not helpful in current times where students are exposed to various platforms of learning. Gone are the times when teachers used to teach the way they were taught. Now teachers are being more sensitive to varied student needs and accordingly they tailor their lesson plans keeping all kinds of learners in mind.
In my opinion these methods are really helpful in engaging students than the mainstream education system where students’ needs were hardly paid any attention and the teaching-learning process used to be teacher centric.
MYPENCILDOTCOM :  What is your approach to reach more students in future.
KC :I want to expand my circle of influence by regularly making new content for them as per trend. For example, self-learning is a new normal and how to make it more relevant and effective has to be taught to them. This is how I assist them about various Webpages where they may land and deep dive into their studies. There are ways to prepare for board exams or any competitive exams effectively. I keep sharing such mantras via ZOOM sessions, FB LIVE and also via Youtube Channel. These practices not only guide them but also boost up their confidence which in turn results in their betterment.
MYPENCILDOTCOM :  Message for Mypencildotcom.
KC :Mypencildotcom is a great platform where think-tanks share their journey and extraordinary achievements. I am sure these are very inspirational to many. I wish good luck to the entire team who are working day and night to bring out the best pearls from the market and share their experiences on this wonderful platform. My sincere gratitude to each member of Mypencildot.com for the same.

3 TIPS :How to Maintain Self Discipline
How to Maintain Self-Discipline?
Self discipline is the epitome of attaining successes in life. Whichever aspect of life, you want to excel in, you need to master the art of Self-discipline. But what is the secret sauce behind truly being self-disciplined. So maintain self dicipline.
There is no complicated formula behind truly being self-disciplined, mainly you need to know yourself truly inside and out to carve out a path for you to embark on to attain self-discipline.
One of the main problems that most people don’t possess self-discipline is that one runs from hard, uncomfortable things. Most people tend to do the easy, comfortable, familiar things. So instead of facing our hard, uncomfortable day-to-day projects or facing our dreaded finances, we run to distractions like videos, games. Specifically running from discomfort is making us forgo self-discipline.
Self-discipline is like a muscle: the more you work on developing it and using it, the stronger it will become.
However, to start your journey at self-discipline, it is as important not to start with goals that are too ambitious. Instead, set smaller goals, and increase the level of challenge slowly over time. With self-discipline, the more you practice, the better you’ll become.
But you can accomplish self-discipline by following easy tips as follows:
Remove temptations
Source Credit: https://www.njlifehacks.com/procrastination-temptations-distractions/
“Out of sight, out of time”, a popular saying but how many people follow this saying. And the question you should ask yourself is that consciously do you keep the things at bay while you are working or studying or even trying to read a book so wanted to for really long.
Especially while working from home, frequent notifications can be tricky to juggle at once. But there is a way to combat such distractions, what you can do is set your notifications to be active at particular times of the day when you aren’t working, mainly to give your complete attention to the task at hand.
Nurture Yourself
Source Credit: https://artisticdrama.wordpress.com/2017/03/20/self-care-ways-to-nurture-yourself/amp/
Feeling overburdened by taking the world’s problems on your shoulder, you can change the way you tackle the everyday horrifying new cycle by self – disciplining yourself. By watching the news just once a day, so that you can be updated but escape feeling overwhelmed by things out of your control.
Learn to distance yourself and indulge in self-care and nurture yourself both physically and mentally to balance your output.
Don’t shame yourself
Shame is believing there is something innately wrong with us. Sometimes we don’t even recognize that how we are showing up in life is because we are full of shame. Until one day, shame makes and keeps us sick. Or we find ourselves stuck doing the same things over and over again, heading down a familiar path of self-destruction, or re-creating the same old dynamic in a relationship where we end up thinking we have to change things about ourselves in order to be loved. The stories we tell ourselves about being unlovable are rooted in shame, and they can be re-written.Source Credit: https://quotefancy.com/quote/33779/Ana-s-Nin-Shame-is-the-lie-someone-told-you-about-yourself
A very important point to remember as shaming yourself achieves nothing but leaves you feeling bad about yourself. But we can argue that what if you thrive on negative reinforcement. No one and I mean no one can achieve self-discipline in the long run by shaming themselves.
You want to attain and maintain self-discipline throughout your life so that you can make it a habit rather than something you practice when you feel like it.
To conclude, we can say that to effectively attain self-discipline, by eliminating temptations and remember to nurture yourself while practising the process of self-discipline. Most importantly, don’t say yourself but be patient with yourself.

Kiran Bedi Cover Story in Mypencildotcom Magazine 2021 July Edition : Exclusive
MYPENCILDOTCOM: 3 sisters studying in the same Christian school during those years was never easy! Can you please share your family’s challenges towards achieving a better education during those years?
Kiran Bedi : The sacred heart school was on the farthest end of the city. Also the most expensive school at the time, besides being the best one in Amritsar. My parents were living on pocket money from my grandfather. Yet we were sent to the best.
The school gave us a strong value system of ethics and personal habits. Yes all three sister studying was a big thing, but that was the determination and blessings of my parents.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: It is known that You were the only woman in a batch of 80 men, and became the first woman IPS officer of India. Did you ever feel that you managed to change the society’s mindset & established higher standards of ambition for the next generation?
Kiran Bedi : My family was impacting already.  At one time the whole family and three sisters were  on national tennis circuit. Even daddy was playing. We were known as a india’s tennis playing family,  in the country.
What i did was expected of this family. It proved that with right nature and nurturance daughters too can take the family name forward.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: Thinking out of the box is very important, Once you had set up a Drug Detox center within police campus & later such detox centers were increased. In recent years you were associated with Social activism as well, is it that you always wanted to help society? Please let us know why are you so supportive of improving society?
Kiran Bedi :It comes out of a habit and love for unselfish living. A love for being of value to others. I was groomed to be a provider. I am by nature also a solutions provider. Whatever i did and do is to improve quality of life and promote well being of others.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: You were mostly considered as a very strict person to follow Indian Law, Why do you feel that it is difficult for others to follow Law in the same manner you follow it?
Kiran Bedi : We are all a product of our upbringing. If we are brought up in a well groomed way, we wil be law abiding. It depends on parents, teachers and ones own self.
MYPENCILDOTCOM: You came forward in 2010 to support the anti-corruption movement in India, please share your experience in associating with that movement & what all positive changes did you notice in the last 11 years?

Verified Rebirth Story of Shanti Devi supported by Mahatma Gandhi & mentioned in Wikipedia.
The Shanti Devi Rebirth Story
India is a land of mysteries, filled with stories of reincarnation. In the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madya Pradesh and Delhi, there are stories of rebirth that intrigue and generate the curiosity of people. Even a shocking story of a boy who started spewing stories of his murder in a previous life. But his claim was found to be untrue by the courts.
Some rebirth stories come too close to the truth which is shocking and mind-blogging, to say the least.
One such instance is the story of
Shanti Devi (Born: 11 December 1926 ), known as Lugdi Devi (Born on 18 January 1902 – Died on 4 October 1925) in her past life. She was an Indian woman who claimed to remember her previous life and interestingly became the subject of reincarnation research.
Lugdi Devi Story
The story starts with a daughter born at the home of Chandbud in Mathura.
Lugdi Devi was born and set to marry a clothing vendor in 1912 when she was merely 10 years old.
Her husband was a widowed man named Kedar Nath Chubai. Lugdi became pregnant in 1924 but unfortunately gave birth to a still-born.
Being pregnant for the second time on September 25th, 1925 giving birth in an Agra Government Hospital to a healthy baby boy.
Sadly, Lugdi became sick after the birth of her baby and passed after 9 days only being able to see her child once.
Lugdi Devi died on 4th October 1925 at the young age of 27.
Her baby boy was named Vaneet Lal who was left to raise by Kedar Nath Chobai.
Shanti Devi Story
After exactly one year, ten months and seven days, on 10th December 1926, a baby girl was born in Delhi. In the home of Babu Rana Bahadur, 145 kms from Mathura, Shanti Devi was born. Being silent for almost four years, when she finally started speaking, Shanti Devi began to claim to remember details of a past life.
Reincarnation Claim
According to these accounts, when she was about four years old, she told her parents that her real home was in Mathura where her husband lived, about 145 km from her home in Delhi.
This baffled her family, which led to visits to multiple psychiatrists, doctors and physicians.
A baffling instance with a psychiatrist was when Shanti Devi recollected intricate details of her deliveries at the age of four.
She also recollected minute details of her previous home in this past life from the name of the temple near her house in Mathura to the well outside her house to the 125 rupees she had hid under the flower pot in her bedroom.
She also recalled the exact distinguishing details of her husband’s face. A fair man with a wart on his left cheek with reading glasses.
Rebirth Story : Two lives coming together
Shanti Devi’s father approached his distant relative named Babu Bisht Chand who belonged to Dharganj, Delhi. Bahu Bisht was a teacher at the Ramjas School.
Shanti ran away from home which worried her family. Babu Bisht bribed Shanti to tell him the name of her husband so he could take her to Mathura.
Babu Bisht tested what he knew by send a letter to the address of Chobai with the address he was told about from Shanti Devi.
The letter reaches its destination, Chobai has moved on by marrying for the third time. Being shocked by the letter, he sends his cousin(Pandit Kathi Lal) to Shanti’s house to confirm this bizarre theory.
Rebirth Story :Rechecking Facts
Shanti is met with an impersonating husband who she correctly identifies as her husband’s (Chobai’s brother).
Shanti tells all to Pandit Lal which confirms his suspicions that Shanti Devi is Lugdi.
Chobai along with his son who is now ten years old and his mother visits Shanti home in Delhi. They are shocked to discover that Shanti’s collects all their food favourites when it’s time for dinner. Even Chobai is forced to believe Shanti is her wife reincarnated as she even recalls intimate details of their relations only known to her husband.
She found out that Kedar Nath had neglected to keep several promises he had made to Lugdi Devi on her deathbed. Like remarrying after her death, Chobai also makes his now-wife meet Shanti Devi which makes Shanti cry and wanting to return to her home in Mathura.
Rebirth Story: Mahatma Gandhi Commission
The story of Shanti Devi spreading like wildfire by publishing in the local Mathura Newspaper ad later in National Publications catches the attention of Mahatma Gandhi. He invites Shanti Devi to his Ashram to know her truth. He sets up
a commission to inquire the truth.
Rebirth Story : Hunt for the Truth
The commission travelled on a train with Shanti Devi to Mathura, arriving on 15 November 1935. There she recognized several family members, including the grandfather of Lugdi Devi.  She also correctly knew the path to reach her home in Mathura from the train station. As well in her veranda and the hidden money in her bedroom.
She then travelled home with her parents. The commission’s report, published in 1936, concluded that Shanti Devi was indeed the reincarnation of Lugdi Devi.
Even a second trip to Mathura to Lugdi’s home confirmed their suspicions as she correctly identified her whole family instantly.
Research
Her claim is found to be true, while another report by researcher Bal Chand Nahata disputed it.
Subsequently, several other researchers interviewed her and published articles and books about her.
Two further reports were written at the time.
The report by Bal Chand Nahata was published as a Hindi booklet by the name Punarjanma Ki Paryalochana.
In this, he stated that “Whatever material that has come before us, does not warrant us to conclude that Shanti Devi has former life recollections or that this case proves reincarnation”.
This argument was disputed by Indra Sen, a devotee of Sri Aurobindo, in an article later. A further report, based on interviews conducted in 1936, was published in 1952.
K.S. Rawat continued his investigations in 1987, and the last interview took place only four days before her death on 27 December 1987.
A Swedish author who had visited her twice published a book about the case in 1994; the English translation appeared in 1998
She told her story again at the end of the 1950s, and once more in 1986 when she was interviewed by Canadian Researcher Ian Stevenson and K.S. Rawat.
Shanti Devi Death
Shanti Devi did not marry as she kept her promise, unlike Kedar Nath.
Died 27 December 1987 at the age of 61.
