2AM Jinwoon, BEAST, & MBLAQ @ Kiss The Radio 5/2010

I spent an ENTIRE evening at the KBS Radio station because two different shows back to back had idols on it that I wanted to see!!! First was the radio show before Kiss The Radio (sorry I don’t remember the name of it) and 2AM’s Jinwoon was there.  Later, on Kiss The Radio, they had 2 members from MBLAQ and 2 members from BEAST on the show.

Rain Fansigning 5/12/2010

My first fansigning event came about because I was makeup shopping in Myeongdong and stumbled upon a cd store. I ventured in and was going to buy a CNBlue album, but the lady working there came over and convinced me to buy Rain’s new album, Back to the Basic. She said if I bought an album I could enter the fansign. My friends and I all bought one cd each and left. We all got into the fansign amazingly!! While we were in line, the organizers said that no camera’s were allowed and that the management from the company said no pictures with Rain were allowed.  I remembered at the time that Rain had just gone off to make his own label and so I thought to myself hmmm well he is the company so I am going to play the foreigner card here and pretend I didn’t hear that announcement and just ask Rain myself.  Looking back on that moment, I am not proud of what I did because it was unfair to all of the other fans and also disrespectful to Rain who set the rules or at least agreed to those rules that were set by someone else.  Needless to say, I followed the rules from that moment onward, but Rain was nice enough to cut me a break that day for whatever reason.  When I took out my camera and asked him politely if we could take a picture together he said yes!!! I’d like to think that if he had been truly bothered by my request he could have declined so I try not to feel to badly about it.

Thank you Rain for being so kind to us :) I can’t believe this was almost 10 years ago!!!!

Kiss The Radio 2010

I went to Kiss The Radio with Super Junior many times.  Eventually, I stopped going because it aired so late at night that I risked missing the last train back to my dorm and it was stressful to stand in a crowd of fangirls who were all fighting to get a glimpse of their idols.  It was fun while it lasted and I have some really great memories from it :)

I may be smiling, but the waiting around in the cold, wet winter night was not as easy as I made it out to look.  Especially when you are trying to save a spot in front of the window along with 100 other hungry, cold, wet, and tired fangirls.  

This is what a mob of fangirls all vying for a peak at Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Eunhyuk look like....

The open radio window!! It really wasn’t big enough for all of us to see into it when we all crowded around it. I almost had my nice camera smashed up against the window because someone behind me was frustrated that they couldn’t see over me :( I’m not tall...just average, but when you are a fangirl and you want to see your idol sometimes your emotions get the best of you.  I learned to just stand in the back where it was safer for me and my camera.

Mnet CNBluetory 02/26/2010

Let me take you way back to 2010 for my first Kpop experience...ever.  A Korean classmate tipped me off that CNBlue would be having an outdoor concert in Seoul at the COEX Plaza and I decided to skip my last class of the day to get there early.  This concert is definitely one of my top 10 fan girl moments.  Mnet camera crew came around interviewing fans and I was one of the lucky ones who made it on the show.  Thanks to my 2 seconds of fame, anytime I went to a CNBlue event, Korean fans would recognize me and my friend from the Mnet CNBluetory episode :) I still like to think that the members of CNBlue have seen the episode themselves and therefore have seen me too!! A fan girl can dream, can’t she?
