Non-Essential Info About my Ocs (That may or may not be mentioned in the book)

Non-essential info about the main Savage Angel cast down below the cut.

Angel wanted to be a dancer when he was younger. He was 5 when he started ballet and 16 when he stopped because his ex told him dancing took too much time away from them.

Along with his problems with depression and anxiety, Nicholas also had explosive anger when he was younger. That was curbed faster than the other two (a tad more dangerous in his job).

Angel got his uterus removed due to medical problems, not his transition. Getting your uterus removed is not essential in transition (some places may legally require it to change sex on a state ID), not all trans men do.

Matthias wears brown contacts not because he wants to distance himself from appearing like Nicholas’ biological father, but because he’s self conscious, having black hair and green eyes. Kids made fun of him and he’s a tad sensitive.

Richard did feel something for Catalina. Was it love? Probably not, but he noticed something about her.

Angel is the only 301 to not have received any training for his job.

Nicholas usually asks before touching anybody anywhere unless he’s in a situation where both parties are comfortable/familiar with each other. Matthias always asks, no matter what. This only seems natural to me for writing because my old Master Sergeant in ROTC always asked before placing his hand on my shoulder. Probs bc legal reasons, but I appreciated the gesture.

Matthias forbid Nicholas from sleeping with anyone until he was 20. Nicholas assumed this was because he wouldn’t be a teenager anymore at 20 (he did obey this rule), but it was actually because Matthias knew Nicholas was two years younger than he thought he was (So he would be 18 when he thought he was 20).

When Angel was a toddler and Richard and Catalina were still together, the two fought vehemently about Angel’s gender. Matthias (who was around baby Angel quite a bit) would never know if he’d see him in a dress and ribbons or a suit whenever he came to visit. 

Catalina was sure Angel was a girl because he “came out one” and Richard was certain he was a boy. This is why Richard called him “My little Angel” instead of his dead name since he thought it was stupid since he was obviously a boy. Richard was known to be a little delusional at times which is why it went on so long. (Richard was right!) This is also why Catalina named him Angel when Angel asked her to rename him.

Angel’s anxiety has progressed so much throughout his life that at times he’d get rashes and could get physically sick if it was bad enough. These are based on my symptoms, they’re different for everyone.

Angel is gay demisexual. Matthias is ace/aro. Nicholas in pan. Catalina is bi.

Nicholas has participated in multiple orgies. He loves to give the love (though he’s very clear about his distaste of people equating sex with him to love).

Catalina was actually born in Portugal and not El Salvador. Her parents moved to El Salvador very shortly after she was born.

Angel had his appendix removed. It scarred horribly.

Nicholas looks more like his grandmother, Iris, than his mother, Sarah.

From his childhood before he “died”, the only person Angel really remembers is Matthias, who he called “Mat-tas”, since he couldn’t say his name. Matthias was overly fond of little Angel.

Matthias wears his mother’s Director’s cape rather than his father’s, since his father was much shorter than him and his mother was closer to his height (6′3) standing at 6′2 when she was alive.

Everything horrifically bad that happened to Matthias happened within 3 years (14-17 yo).

The reason Angel is considered so good at his job is because he doesn’t hesitate. There’s no waiting - he’ll shoot someone and leave. He doesn’t care how he gets his job done, he just does. Angel doesn’t often consider what he’s doing if someone’s told him to do it, killing is no exception.

English in Nicholas’ second language and Matthias’ and Angel’s first. Korean was Matthias’ second and Nicholas’ first. Spanish was Angel’s second. Matthias’ third language was Japanese while Nicholas’ was Russian. Catalina is fluent in Portuguese but pretends she’s not for safety reasons.

Matthias when he has only one of his contacts in and he's still trying to be intimidating when someone asks him a question about Tassel hoping they'll answer it themselves if he gives them the "are you serious? you don't know this?" look knowing fully well he has no clue:

Honestly, Angel would totally expect the Director to be really mean and intimidating (6′3, in charge of a very large organization comprised partly of hitmen, like Angel himself, also wears a trenchcoat everywhere) and when he meets him for real and finds out he’s really kind and sweet I’m 1000% certain Angel would cry bc he would be so confused

Anyways, I’m awful with height differences, so I made this to see roughly where they were compared to each other and Nicholas is TALL man he’s the third tallest character in the story the other two being the Richards, one of which is only ever mentioned but he’s 6′5 and quite frankly I’d be terrified if I met him so thank GOD Angel’s about as tall as his mother and not his father

Also Chivonne looks awkward af bc she’s tall but also a child basically so I don’t know how to proportion??? She’s 16 if it helps. She can be awkward.

Also noodle legs. I’m not being picky on legs and stuff just height.

When Angel comes to visit Catalina, Catalina will be like “Angel!” and then say something completely random in Spanish, like “The bread went stale last week” or “Bathtubs are above ground submarines” or something weird and Angel will be like “aww, I love you too mommy”

and Catalina’s like this bitch ain’t learn Spanish yet. His man knows Spanish why doesn’t he.

So Catalina’s a little salty that Angel obviously refuses to learn Spanish, whether it’s from her or Nicholas.

Everything That’s Exactly 0% Your Business

I followed my mother’s advice and started working for the Agency when I was 18 (she said it was a good fit). I have a close relationship with my mother, Catalina Miranda. She is amazing and inspiring and I love her. I hate questioning her and her motives but I guess that happens sometimes. My dad… is a thing, I guess. I haven’t seen nor heard from him in years, so I’m not sure it makes much difference whether or not I like him. I fucked up my first relationship because Demonte felt that I “didn’t trust him enough”. Well, he didn’t want to put in the effort. I don’t like people not because I’m mean, which is what everyone claims, but because they’re exhausting. They also tend to get in my way - either you read my mind or you’re dead weight when it comes to potentially deadly encounters with enemies.

About Me!

I’ve worked for the Agency since I was much younger. They picked me up and I’ve been working for them ever since. I don’t like it. I’m very patient, kind, and fun, which makes me very good for people oriented assignments, which is why I got paired with Parker! He’s a tough nut to crack, but I like him. I float around branches of the Agency, taking care of whatever assignment they put me on. I don’t have a permanent home, so it doesn’t bother me much (that’s a lie… :(). I never asked for my job at the Agency. If I had it my way, and I wasn’t abandoned when I was younger, I would’ve liked to be a teacher. Hopping around from place to place, making many friends, it’s… not much fun. I’m constantly feeling lonely and perpetually out of place. I’m SUPER self-conscious about what I say to make sure I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings. It doesn’t always work, especially with Parker - I have trouble reading him. I still look forward to every day, though! I like to look for things that are colours I like, so I can focus on the happy things.

About Me

I work for a lawyer firm alongside the Agency. I suggested my son join because it is a good fit for him. Wasn’t expecting them to put him on these cases, though. For the Agency, I deal more with intel than anything. I relay messages to agents, so I know quite a few of them. I’ve heard things about Nicholas before but never had the chance to meet him in person. He’s a nice fellow - Angel is fond, but he won’t admit to that. I told Angel that his father, Richard Parker, is a slum of a guy cab driver somewhere not here. I can’t tell him who his father really is - neither of them can know their connection. 

I swear I knew what I was doing.

It’s Me

Eyyy I’m Chivonne Reed. I lost my mother when I was younger and had been hopping around the foster care system until I joined the Agency. I have this horrific curse where I can remember almost anything and they’re using it for themselves which is great! Except maybe I don’t want to know this! What are they gonna do if they’re done with me? They’re gonna kill me. That’s great, man. Totally need that on my mind during finals. I’m in high school and whatever fuckhead thought having me in school + doing agent shit was smart was an asshole. I’m such a problem child that they sent the Miranda-Parker’s, who are hella weird, to “assist” me. Why did they send two almost middle aged men to help a 16 year old? That’s weird.

My mother told me to always keep hope in my heart. It’s hard, but I do it - for her.
