Under The Sea
It’s me again, Els. It is already June and that means a new Month with new inspiration. This time I made a sea style card and below you will find the step by step instructions. I hope you have as much fun as I did making this card. Have fun creating! Cut out the dies of white cardstock and the upper layers from silver cardstock. I didn’t used the fish and the binoculars. Color the white cut-outs with Ink and glue the silver cardstock on top of them. Cut a piece of white cardstock of 4″ x 8″ for a the card base and make a 21/4 inch hole in the center. Glue the porthole over the hole on top the octopus with the helmet and below the shell and starfish. Glue acetate behind the hole. Put some rust paste on the porthole and the helmet and place some glossy accent drops on the acetate. Stamp some bubbles. Put some glossy accent on the bubbles too and glue some prills down. Stamp 2 Jellyfish on a light blue paper and stick it behind the porthole. Take a piece of White Cardstock 41/4″ x 81/4″ and make a light construction where […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/SEtuifZ via IFTTT

Cruising
Hello everyone, It’s Marjolijn here back on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog. I am so in love with that little boat from the new Planner Essentials Suitcase set. It is so fun to play with! Making it is already a party and if you can also let the boat sail then it will be even more fun!!! So today I decided to make a fun card using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Pull Tabs die set to make this adorable boat sail. Let me show you how I created it. Where does the boat sail to? The adventure awaits. The elements from P.E. 48 have been used as reinforcements. Now this card is not going in my planner but I thought it was a nice idea. The string runs from the anchor to the tab. I used a black card as the background, which contrasts nicely with the blue. And that’s how the card was made. I die cut all the parts of the boat from white 250 grams DCP paper. I colored all parts with Distress Ink. Antique linen, Pine needles, Faded jeans and Frayed burlap. I used frayed burlap for all the edges as well. After coloring I assembled […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/g7oGhFX via IFTTT

Stop and Smell the Sunflowers!
Hi everyone, Happy Monday! Thank you for stopping by to see my blog post today, I am super excited about this page as my garden is up and growing and so are my Sunflowers. I hope this brings you some inspiration, now lets get started. Step 1: Out of Planner Essentials 11 cut out your page from the Worn Wood designer paper collection. Next, cut out your photo frame from Planner Filmstrip set #1656 from dark brown cardstock. Out of kraft card stock cut out your bear from Joset’s Honey Bear #1727 and ink the edges with brown distress Ink, I also inked the cheeks with pink ink and added the eyes and mouth. Step 2: Out of Florals 15 cut your petals from two shades of yellow cardstock and the smallest one from dark brown cardstock, then ink the edges with vintage photo distress ink. Next I took my flower shaping tool and shaped my flowers to give it a 3D effect. Out of green cardstock cut your leaves and ink the edges. Out of dark grey cardstock cut out your flower pot from Flower Pot/ Bucket #1957 and the trim from light grey cardstock, the handle was cut […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/ycfaviB via IFTTT

Mixed Media Art Journal Card
Hi friends…Michelle here with a card that is full of amazing texture that uses some fabulous products from the Art Journal Collection. I just love getting my fingers a bit messy sometimes! To begin I took a piece of mixed media paper and applied a layer of Distress Crackle paste. I didn’t apply it completely even as I wanted some of the areas to be a bit thicker, as the thicker the paste is applied, the bigger the cracks you will get. This was then set that aside to dry. Once it started to crackle, I helped it along by hitting it with my heat embossing tool to speed up the process abit. Once the texture was dry, I used 3 of the foliage dies from the Solstice Pocket Die Set and Flower Bouquet and cut them out. I added some pigment powders to them in shades of green and pink and then spritzed with water. I love how the colours sink into the the cracks from the texture paste. I had a small area that the paste came off of one of the leaves, but it just added a bit more texture to it. Next I took a piece […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/5HARSXj via IFTTT

Take it easy
Hi all! I have a new planner page to share with you. I’ve made the right side another time so now I need to make the left side. When I made pages next to each other I use the same colours and some same elements. At this page I used the new Special Kit ‘Suitcase’ some Planner Essentials stencils, Planner Essentials dies and the cute Octopus from Joset. For the page I used an older dies, Planner Essentials 1 with a tab at the top. I used Paint On Denim paper for this part. Then I used the dies from Planner Essentials 29 as layer. For this piece I added some structure with the newest Planner Essentials Stencils and Distress Oxide ‘Walnut Stain’. Before I adhere this part at the base I gave the sides some Distress Ink Frayed Burlap. All the pieces I used are inked with the same colour. At the right side I add a strip from an older dies. The next step is making the suitcase. I need 2 suitcase for this card because I want to open the suitcase. As you can see you see a blue wave at the bottom of the suitcase. Hip Hip Hooray!
Hello Everyone.. Jackie here today with my latest design using Joset’s wonderful dies. I have been inspired by the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations soon to be here in the U.K. but this can easily be switched up to suit any occasion. Step One: Create a frame using the stitched indented square dies by nesting two together secured with a little piece of tape then die cut out a black frame. The outside of this frame measures 12x12cm Step Two: Cut a Square of gold glitter card measuring 12x12cm, draw a square on the reverse side measuring 10x10cm then carefully cut this out creating another frame. Step Three: Next take a 15x15cm textured card blank (or smooth if you prefer) then stamp out the ticker tape mainly in the centre then softly colour with coloured pencils. Step Four: Add the glittered frame first at a slight angle using 1mm foam pads then add the black frame on top again with a slight angle. Step Five: Build the characters in the colours of your choice, I have added detail to the shield using a white gel pen and also white dots on their eyes. Fix them to the card front using 2mm […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/A2v0Wlk via IFTTT

Happy Birthday
Last Saturday it was my father's birthday. He turned 60. I usually make something fun. This time I started working with the new suitcase kit. I made a photo book of this with different photos. I also used various nice dies from Joset. I die cut the front page from denim. For reinforcement I used double sided adhesive behind it. I used design paper for the back of it. I die cut the suitcase strap out of cork. I used double design paper for all pages because the design paper was only printed single. It is also a bit firmer. On the next page I used a photo of my parents together. On the right I used Joset's whale. The whole book is in the sea/water theme. This is because my parents have their own boat and are very fond of it. On the next page I added two photos of my parents boat and decorated the pages with some fun dies from Esther's nautical theme collection. The next page shows 2 pictures of their birds. The bird on the right they have had for several years. The bird on the left is a birthday present. I used the nice […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/FilmPxY via IFTTT

Is it Christmas Yet?
Karen here. I love doing holiday cards, and the best dies for holiday cards are here at Elizabeth Craft Designs. Is May too soon to start making our holiday projects? I think not! I used the adorable Winter Bird in this card along with a sentiment from the Cute Winter Sentiments to create this card. The branch is colored with a brown Copic marker, and the legs and beak are colored with an orange Copic. The bird has distress inks in Festive Berries, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass. I added some punched silvery stars and half beeds for some extra interest. How cute is that birdie?? For this card, I used the Hay Ride dies to create the fun Christmas Cart and added tress and presents from the Sleigh dies! I cut the pieces of this one in colored cardstock. Again, I used the Cute Winter Sentiments. In both cards, the card front is cut with a Stitched Rectangle die using 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock. Thank you for stopping by today! Flowers for you
Hi Everyone! Irina here today with my first blogpost for Elizabeth Craft Designs. For today’s project I created a card with a rotating element. For this card I used the beautiful Florals 14 and design paper Rainbow of Happiness. A couple of years ago I made a card like this, and I thought it would be great with the new paper flowers! I will explain step by step how I made this card. Start with a piece of cardstock from 8 x 5 inch and score at 4 inch. Cut your design paper 4 7/8 x 3 7/8 and glue it on the front. Take a cirkle die from about 2,5 inch and centre it on the front. Run it trough your die cutting machine. Be sure you don’t throw away the circle because we need that part later. Take another piece of cardstock 8 x 5 inch. Score at 2, 4 and 6 inch. Fold it as you see in the picture. Glue the first part on your card base as in the picture. Glue the second part as in the picture above. Now it looks like this. Put glue only on the right side. Take your cirkle and […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/Ultp2uH via IFTTT

Happy Birthday
Good Morning Friends today i have a card to share with you designed using the Volume 4 Florals Release using Florals 15.  Cutting the florals out using Soft finished cardstock, i colored them with saltwater Taffy Distress ink and the leaves with Peeled Paint Shaping them using my shaping mat, i added some stamens to the center.  Then lightly added some snow paste on top to add more detail. To create the dress i took a 5.75 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper and scored every 1/2 inch. Making sure to fold so that the ends were able to be folded inward. I free hand drew the top of the dress to create a tank style top and wrapped gold thread and colored seam binding to coordinate with the card.  Thank you for dropping by today, I hope i have inspired you to create some dress cards of your own. from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/6dDrYVh via IFTTT

Floral It’s Your Birthday Mini Slimline Card
Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I just love the Daffodils dies and I wanted to see what other colors they come in. I was amazed there is quite a few. I came across the Riot Daffodil and it is the inspiration for my card. The Riot is a reddish pink center but I chose to do mine in a darker pink. Below you will find the steps to create your own card. Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline) Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4 x 5 3/4”. Apply Light Blue Ink to the top of the panel using a Blender Brush and fading out to about 3/4. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Step 3 – Diecut Daffodil using White Soft Finish if you will color in all the pieces. If not then use colored cardstock. I chose to color all my pieces in Copic Markers. I used a sticky mat to hold all the pieces including the negative while I colored. Assemble all and adhere to card […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/xJ5I06W via IFTTT

Dimension is Everything
Hello, Marla here today with a simple, yet bold card featuring the Ginko leaf from the ECD “Ferns” die set. One of my favorite crafty items is foam tape. It takes a simple stamp or die on a card to a whole new level. (Pun intended) Let’s get started on this quick and easy card. Step 1. Cut several Ginko leaves, to cover your card panel. Choose paper that will work with your coloring medium. I used watercolor paper for my images and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Step 2. Using 1/8″ foam tape behind each of the die cuts. Step 3. Die cut your sentiment using the “Stitched Letters and Numbers” dies and color. Cut each letter three times. Color one set of letters then stack and glue the remaining letters for dimension Step 4. Cut a piece of complimentary cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and add your Ginko pieces. Make sure to allow portions to hang over the edges. Use your scissors to trim the excess. Step 5. Adhere the panel to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ top folding card panel. Step 6. Add the sentiment to the card. That finishes my card for today. I […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://ift.tt/zoZjJ2y via IFTTT

Cockatoo Fun
Hello everyone.. It’s my turn on the blog today with this fun hanging frame decoration featuring three cute fun loving cockatoos. The frame is made to look like bamboo, now I know that bamboo is not really square but anything goes in papercraft right! Step One. Die cut the smallest frame part four times into buff coloured card then use the watercolour paints to make the frame pieces resemble bamboo, a very small thin paint brush will make this easier. Step Two Pierce four holes into what will become the top most part of the frame, you will only need to do this on one part, make a re-enforcer for each hole to add some stability. See photo for approximate hole placement. Step Three Roll up a piece of card approximately 5cm long, you can use a straw or pen to help make the card roll. Once rolled nice and tightly fix with glue then use the watercolour paints again to create a wood effect, then use a pointed tool to puncture a hole though the wooden batten at each end. Step four Next die cut and build all the parrots and flowers using the photo for colour reference, the […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://www.blog.elizabethcraftdesigns.com/2022/05/11/cockatoo-fun/ via IFTTT

Cow’s it going?
Hello everyone! Today it’s my turn to show you a nice creation. This time I started working with a TN page. First I die cut the puzzle page (1848). For this I used paper from the Rainbow of Happiness paper pas (C006). Love this paper pad because of the bright colors! On the left die cut the spot that comes with the puzzle page. I used this as a cow stain. Behind this I made a black square, only adhered at the edges so I could add the cow in between. In the square on the right side I made a shaker window. I did this by making mica behind the square window. You fold this in half again. You can use anything as shaking material. I used some Picket Fence here and combines it with micro beads. After that I started with the cow and the pig. I colored both of these with distress inks. With the cow you don’t have to add his feet, tale and all his marks as it won’t show. Now it’s time to finish the pages. The cow can go in the spot on the left and the pig on the other page. Behind […] from Elizabeth Craft Designs https://www.blog.elizabethcraftdesigns.com/2022/05/09/cows-it-going-2/ via IFTTT

Make A Wish Mini Slimline Card
Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. With the weather warming there is a lot of squirrels in my yard in the trees, grass and crossing on the fences. It gave me the inspiration for my card. Below is the steps to create your own card. Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline) Step 2 – Diecut Adventure Edges (cloud) using a scrap piece of Cardstock to use as a stencil. Place the diecut on the card front and apply ink to the edge. I used Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass. Move the diecut down and repeat until the end. Step 3 – Diecut Slimline Adventure Edges (fence) using Kraft Cardstock and (grass) using Green Cardstock. Add some inks in brown to the fence and adhere to card front using Foam Tape. Stamp Once Upon A Time Sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the middle of the grass diecut. Adhere to card over the fence using Kid’s Choice Glue. Step 4 – Diecut Squirrel using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Color in using any medium of your choice. I used Copics.
