Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

We made it. That is no small thing this year with the current world events. There would be no My Slashy Valentine without all the amazing writers, old and new, who take this challenge on during the winter doldrums (or in the southern hemisphere, the summer sweats!)

A special thanks to Zhie, who double checks my matching, is an excellent sounding board, a tireless promoter and stalwart fandom ringleader.

8 Days to MSV 2025 Reveals!

The posting deadline for vets is tomorrow, February 7th!

Because of the AO3 downtime, there could be issues posting to the collection. I'm happy to give extensions to Sunday evening for anyone concerned with posting - just email, drop a line on this post or reach out on Discord to let me know.

MSV 2025 Reminder

One week for MSV newbies and two weeks for vets!

Participants' email inbox contains a reminder email from us with a link to the MSV 2025 collection and a helpful screenshot for the fields that must be completed for posting!

Hi, I still haven’t received my assignment, and I submitted my form on the 13th. I’m wondering if everything is okay?

Thank you for asking! I did some digging today and found out that the 2024 MSV sign up link had been promoted in error by someone - and I forgot to turn off the old form. Everyone who signed up using the wrong link has an assignment in their inbox now.

Just wondering, will the deadline for first time participants get extended by a couple days if assignments do come a bit later than planned? Thanks :)

No, those deadlines are fixed due to the necessity of having a built in timeframe to find pinch hitters if there are last minute drop outs. However, we give personalized extensions to anyone who needs them, including first time participants. Just communicate with us. :)

Hello, have a question regarding the Rules for no underage: for example a 16 years old being briefly attracted to a whatever age an elf (for only a brief point in the story and nothing happens) is considered a no no? Want to see if an idea/scene is doable for this event

Brief attraction or crushes are fine. That rule is really to address specific underage sexually explicit content.

Due to the size of the swap and historic make-up of the swap participants, it is better to request a book-based prompt. You can indicate that you are RoP dynamics friendly though.
