Good Omens season 2 wins because it’s such a safe haven.

Beelzebub and Muriel are non binary.

Maggie and Nina, two women, are a primary love interest story that feel free of stereotypes.

Nina’s partner Lindsay is never given pronouns so it’s left up to the imagination if Lindsay is a she/he/they.

The magic shop’s partner is only referred to as “spouse”, and at the ball they present as trans/non binary.

There were the two male presenting people in the graveyard who referenced Grindr.

Ms. Sandwich’s character shows support of sex work without shame.

While Aziraphale and Crowley are male presenting and use he/him pronouns, they could be gay/bi/ace/fill in your orientation here. Crowley even rejects being referred to as a lad.

I just love it so so much.

A lot of queer representation in tv/film feels forced, so small it’s hardly a blip, or it’s meant to give a laugh and be comic relief.

With Good Omens I feel safe. I’m watching something where I truly feel with my people.

A Lot of People Seem to Think Wednesday Addams is Autistic, But in Truth, She’s Probably Got APD

APD stands for antisocial personality disorder. A lot of people have said her struggles with empathy, emotion regulation and weird interests reminds them of autism, and while you’re fully allowed to relate to her and headcanon what you want, her symptoms remind me more of APD.

Symptoms of being antisocial include being: apathetic, unempathetic, distant, reckless, impulsive and finding it hard to make connection with people. Wednesday’s disregard for other people and the rules are more indicative of APD than ASD. Her weird interests could be just that, weird interests. Having weird interests isn’t purely an autism thing, and not all autistic people have weird special interests.

Wednesday has been antisocial coded from the very beginning, she’s always been written that way. I understand that autism needs more representation and it is entirely possible she has both (I do understand that she doesn’t like touch and her dislike of loud rooms could indicate sensory issues) but antisocial personality disorder also needs more positive representation and discussion of the struggles antisocial people have with fitting in.

Autism is not the only form of neurodivergency and is not the only form that involves unempathetic behaviour or trouble with communication. Other forms of neurodivergency need representation too and Wednesday has always been antisocial. She may have been written to be autistic, she may not have been, and you may headcanon whatever you like and there is nothing wrong with relating to her because of your autism, as a low empathy autistic goth myself I also heavily relate to Wednesday Addams, I’m just saying that we shouldn’t be erasing the fact that she has always been antisocial coded before being autistic coded.
