give me more stories with a trans guy as the main character. give me a action movie where the hero has to take his shirt off bc he got hurt and we see his top surgery scars right in front of us. give me a sitcom where the trans guy talks openly about his period without him being laughed at. give me a drama where the main guy is a father and the story shows how his kid grew up while his dad went through hrt and turned from being a mom to a dad, without it implying that the trans dad is less a man bc he gave birth. give me a romcom where the main love interest is a trans guy. give me horror where the main guy has to face his abusive past from transphobic family members by fighting monsters, and winning through blood and sweat. give me a happy old trans man who lived through decades and survived despite the many tragedies. give me a young nervous trans man who just started to explore his identity and get support from older queer folk. give me trans men from different time period and countries and how their identity would be shaped there. give me more trans men. give them a happy ending.

Shin Soukoku headcanons in no particular order because I can

god i love them so much 1. they started dating after the moby dick incident but neither of them would ever admit it

2. neither of them was aware they were dating really either they just kinda... started

3. they moved in together after the Pushkin thing, they both insist it was for convenience cause it's fucking expensive to live in Yokohama but everyone knows it's a lie (seriously, Aku is rich who are they fooling)

4. Kyouka ended up moving in with them after some intense therapy/boundary discussions with Aku (poor boy didn't know what he was doing with the abuse) 5. neither of them can actually cook. like yes, Atsushi won't burn the house down and the worst Aku has done is set off the smoke alarm a couple times, but it never tastes good. Kyouka, however, spent a non small amount of time in France "being trained to be an assassin" (being parented let's be real) by a certain french spy and his spouse (i refuse to believe Verlaine can cook but Rimbaud definitely can) and is therefore surprisingly good at it so she ends up doing all the cooking (crepes and tofu are daily occurrences)

6. they tease each other a lot. since Aku doesn't really know how teasing works, Atsushi gets asked if he's okay like. a lot. at least when the teasing is in public. but he really is fine and it's always very clear (to Atsushi at least) that Aku doesn't actually mean anything by it

7. they go on park and ice cream dates pretty much weekly

8. in the early stages of their relationship the only people who knew about it were Kyouka of course, but also Dazai and Chuuya, which lead to a lot of... interesting miscommunications while Atsushi and Aku didn't really know. after that was sorted out, though, Dazai and Atsushi would complain about their respective boyfriends to each other and Chuuya and Aku would do the same

9. they never really tried to hide their relationship from the mafia or ada, it just kinda happened that way. eventually their respective organizations found out and they were surprisingly chill about it (Dazai and Chuuya's relationship had already come out and no one was even remotely capable of being shocked at that point)

10. Aku likes making Atsushi little flower crowns because Atsushi gets really happy whenever Aku gives them to him

11. cuddles are basically mandatory

12. on their first anniversary they accidentally bought each other the same matching ying/yang pendants and they both wear them religiously

13. they can never escape Kyouka's teasing

So the whole debate abt how Atsushi and Akutagawa would cope/deal with their crush on one another. I think Atsushi would behave much like a high school girl, at first he wouldn’t even realize that he’s in love with Akutagawa. He’ll think the random urges to be close to Akutagawa and the need to have Akutagawas attention on him all the time were just a normal thing between work partners, that’s until he learns from Dazai that it’s not. Then comes the realization. He’ll be looking at Akutagawas face and realize, oh shit this man is actually fine. Oh wait I lowkey appreciate his sharp jaw and high cheekbones and even his hair and he may smell like metal and figs half the time but my inner feline likes that smell. Oh and he has great hands as well I wonder how they would feel around my neck.

Y’all remember that picture Kunikida showed Atsushi of Akutagawa in the beginning of the anime to warn him about the Diablo? Yeah Atsushi probably still has it and looks at it at random times and smiles all giddily. He’ll be thinking about Akutagawa late at night and just squeal into the pillow and kick his feet stupidly. He’s kinky asf and he’ll just replay the random moments when Akutagawa had rashomoun wrapped around him, or when they had to hide in a cramped closet and were super close etc etc

I just know the entire ADA is gonna get massive PTSD from everything that's happened to them till now (nd in future). They start having sleepovers together to take care of their anxieties and in the end Fukuzawa's like "fuck it" and buys a house so all of them can live together. I AM getting separation anxiety for these guys!

Love how akutagawa and atsushi were fundamentally the same traumatised kids begging for a chance at life only to be granted hope at the expense of autonomy and safety respectively, only to take drastically different paths as a result of this mentor which, for one of them was everything and for the other a mere cog in the machine, that being the ada. I loveeee how theyre both inherently selfish but one has learned to forgo all of his needs in order to be a soldier and the other uses this drive to save people in need, whilst self indulging in the (deprecating natured) memories of his childhood brings. I loveeee how akutagawa has learned what it meant to be selfish and deemed it too much of a hassle, losing his will to go on in the process, while atsushi doesnt know why he fights, but as long as his heart beats and his breath accelerates in intakes he might as well, right?

Akutagawas arc is about him accepting that he can be selfish and take from others what he needs. Atsushis arc is about not letting his past dictate who he is and what he does, in the process finding a reason to go on just as akutagawa has.
