THUNDERBOLTS* SPOILERS AHEAD
[come back to this post after you have seen the movie, i promise it’s really great :D]
do we think that alexei and yelena revealed their relation to natasha at all? it may be more complicated for alexei to state he’s natasha’s father considering it’s not biological and natasha wasn’t as fond of him as yelena, and we didnt see too much fo their father-daughter relationship to understand if that was the relationship they had. however, yelena is natasha’s sister and that has been reinstated time and time again.
so the question beckons itself really, if they did reveal it, would they confess to either
A: the new avengers, considering bucky knew her briefly in MCU and would answer natasha’s whereabouts in the fallout of civil war. i have a feeling bob may already know considering that he has been inside yelena’s worst moments, some of which must contain something to do with losing natasha.
B: to the public, which would also include remaining avengers of the likes of sam, who knew natasha well after being on the run with her, and bruce and rhodey.
interested to see if this would ever play out onscreen and public reaction.

not so fun wicked fact i noticed while doing my music coursework
at the end of popular, glinda’s big ‘as meeeeeee’ moment is sung in the key C5
when elphaba sings ‘its meeee’ during the climax of defying gravity, it is also a C5.
the note consistently reoccurs as a grounding for her in the melody, such as when she makes big statements like quoting the wizard back to himself in ‘everyone deserves the chance to fly’
she also uses that specific note when glinda joins the ending, singing ‘i hope your happy’ (obviously a C5) in the lyric ‘me down’ (elphaba also sings a C5 here)
AND WHAT IS THE FINAL NOTE IN CYNTHIA’S ICONIC RIFF?? A C. MOTHER FUCKING. 5.
glinda is always a source of comfort for elphaba in the second half of this movie, and throughout defying gravity is just begging elphaba to stop. in order to defy gravity, she has to let go of her grounding and let glinda go.
the final c5 is what i would class as her farewell to glinda.
but as we see in act 2 or part 2, they can never truly be rid of eachother. elphaba will always return to that grounding note, even if she has to turn away while singing it

!THE LAST OF US TWO SPOILERS AHEAD!
okay this specific scene
A LOT TO UNPACK
people seem to be convinced this is the golf scene aftermath - it is most definitely not. first and foremost, although ellie is in clear distress, there is no sign of bruising or wound on her face, and in the golf scene, she literally gets booted in the face, meaning this is debunked
i would like to argue this as the chemical burn scene. we can see an armchair next to ellie, making this a living room setting. we can also see an open space dining room area behind it in the blurred focus. this is either joel and ellie’s house or maria’s and tommy’s (more likely joel and ellie’s)
also, look at ellie’s eyeline, she is staring directly at her right forearm, where she has her bite mark. the sheets she is under are also very clinical, possibly a callback to the hospital at the end of the first season
i believe maria is next to ellie to hold her down or comfort her, and in the back we see two men. I KNOW GABRIEL LUNA WHEN I SEE HIM. he is the blurred man facing the camera. the misdirect in this is that it appears joel is not there.
joel is 100% there
joel is either the man with his back to ellie or there is another angle from over ellie’s shoulder in this scene where joel is infront of her. i just really hope for my emotional state that he isn’t the one burning her arm because MY GOD HOW BRUTAL WOULD THAT BE. also a crazy parallel to the hospital
the reason joel would be with tommy and not ellie in this scene to start with is probably out of sheer comfort. i’d imagine joel would be against the idea of burning ellie’s scar off, so they probably have another talk like in ep 6. as ellie starts to scream we see the figures move toward her, so this scene is probably miller family chaos.
let me know what you guys think about this scene and if you want anymore scenes from the trailers debunked!!!

THE LAST OF US TWO SPOLIERS AHEAD
my biggest query so far for this season is what is the context of this scene? breaking down what we know so far is that
- jackson is preparing for a fight. we see jesse (who we know is a patrol leader) preparing with tommy
- tommy is shooting at what i believe to be a herd?
- he and maria have such a lovely moment, however he has blood dripping down his forehead, neither of them look particularly relived or happy.
what we could initially take from this is that this is joel’s golfing trip, and this is him and maria mourning the loss of his brother
on this point however tommy looks FAR too calm considering he is off the rails and completely numb in the game. this may be changed in a different direction for the series, but it is crucial to his plotline in the later events of the game.
since the head injury with the blood down his face is eerily too similar to his injury during joel’s death in the cabin, i believe this is foreshadowing. this may become a sense of a false victory of sorts, because jackson will clearly win this fight, setting up joel’s death sequence
therefore this will take place BEFORE joel’s death (1-2 years i’d imagine) and help build on the ellie and jackson lore we have been CRAVING.

hit the nail on the head. arcane is a masterclass in ACTUAL sapphic representation and strong women
No, because what do you mean Arcane has completely rewritten the rulebook on queer representation in media, and it did it so effortlessly that it puts so many other shows to shame. Like, how are you going to tell me this animated series—ostensibly a spin-off of a video game—has given us some of the most nuanced, unapologetically powerful sapphic characters ever without reducing them to stereotypes, side plots, or, worse, trauma porn?
Vi and Caitlyn? Their dynamic is ELECTRIC. You’ve got Vi, the rough-edged, fiercely loyal, scrappy brawler with a tender side that could wreck anyone emotionally, and Caitlyn, the sharp, principled, deeply empathetic enforcer with a heart of gold. The way their relationship is built on mutual respect and trust while navigating all the insane, tragic chaos around them? Literal chef's kiss. And not once do we get the tired, lazy "coming out" narrative or the "but what about the gays?" rhetoric. Their queerness isn’t the story—it’s just a beautifully natural part of who they are. And THAT is revolutionary.
And let’s not even stop there. This show handles gender like it’s been waiting for everyone else to catch up. Characters like Sevika, who could give you chills with her sheer badassery and gender-nonconforming energy, exist unapologetically without the narrative ever feeling the need to spoon-feed us explanations. It’s just there, woven seamlessly into the fabric of the world.
So many shows claim to want to "normalize" queer relationships or push the envelope, but Arcane has quietly dominated the space by just writing characters who feel authentic. Their struggles are about class, power, loyalty, trauma, not token representation or forced diversity. This show said, “We’re just going to make some of the most layered, compelling characters you’ve ever seen—and oh yeah, some of them are gay. Keep up.”
Like, the bar wasn’t just raised—it was launched into the stratosphere. What do you mean this level of representation isn’t the norm yet? Arcane said, “We’re not asking for permission to exist. We’re just existing.” And that? That is art.
