At a hotel restaurant, a man sees an attractive woman sitting alone at the next table. 

Suddenly, she sneezes, and a glass eye comes flying out of her eye socket. It hurls by the man, and he snatches it from the air and hands it back to her.

"This is so embarrassing," the woman says, and she pops her eye back in place. "I'm sorry to have disturbed you. Let me buy dinner to make it up to you. May I join you?" He nods.

The woman is a stimulating conversationalist, stunningly pretty, and the man finds they have a lot in common. He gets her phone number and asks, "You are the most charming woman I've ever encountered. Are you this nice to every guy you meet?"

"No," she replies. "You just happened to catch my eye."

When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.

I miss when November was a demilitarized zone in the war between Halloween and Christmas.

I love when it when pine needles are the only green in the forest and all the other leaves serve as patches of a quilted red carpet suited for a bear cub's debut into hibernation.

I love to stare at a grey and muted sky broken and cracked by naked brown branches.

I love noticing frost sneaking it's way up and overtaking the morning dew little by little every morning.

I love the signs of Autumn lazily passing the dwindling torch before the embers are extinguished under a barrage of snowflakes.

November seems to me akin to a child of divorce; torn between it's macabre mother and coldhearted father. It seems October is struggling to keep custody over the first weekend of the month.

I am enamored with spirits of the dead as well as the spirit of giving, but they haunt more than final girls and greedy businessmen. They loom over November like it owes them money.

I want November to go back to being wholly separate and serene transition between the fall of leaves and snow. Or at least I want to go back to believing that it is.

went to an elementaryschool musical production and they started the show with the director saying: "Now there's some very small viewers here today, so just so you know. There will be a scary character later in the show. This is her," and a girl in a kinda scary ghost outfit did a creepy walk across the stage, then stood up straight and did a cheery wave, "but remember, it's just Nina. She's pretending to be scary."

Aaaand i would very much like for horror movies to have that as a little bonus feature you can chose. Let me start a movie with Guillermo del Toro showing me a scary ghost that might jump at me, but don't worry, thats just Doug!
