The world is full of people and every person has a secret. They bury them, divulge them to others, and share what is not theirs to tell. The face they wear in public is a mask, worn to conceal their true intentions, feelings, or being. Worn long enough, they forget that the persona is a mask and become that person. Hidden beneath the surface is a secret, a lie, a story that decays and rots their insides until the mask falls away. All that is left is a surface as dark and ugly as the soul inside the shell.
This is Mystic Woods, the home of secrets, lies, and death. Everyday another life is ruined. Everyday another secret let out. And all the while, the people in the town live blissfully unaware of the secrets that lurk beneath the surface. Bodies travel through the morgue more rapidly than in the worst city. The police cover up the unusual. And the population is ever decreasing.
One day, the precarious balance between secrets and the knowledge of what’s going on in the town will tip. The hidden darkness will slip into the light and corrupt it. Creatures will no longer be bound to hunting covertly, drawn to the alluring taste of freedom. A war will break out. Lives will be destroyed. And Mystic Woods will never be the same again.

The Mystic Masquerade Ball is to be held at the Mystic Woods Historical Society and sponsored by Mystic's Senior Class! Tickets are $20 per person, or $30 per couple. Be sure to come in accordance with this year's theme: FIRE AND ICE! Guests must wear either red or white to this event - and don't forget a mask. You need to find your true love without silly things getting in the way and a mask makes it all the more intriguing.
Mystic Woods Historical Society February 13th at 6:00 pm - until 10:00 pm Tickets will be sold at the door, but advanced purchase is suggested at this event might sell out. Raffle will be held at 10, but you must be present to win. It is a trip for two - but we won't spoil the surprise! See you there!
