The Impact of Themed Sidewalks
I just finished my last day of classes before finals, so obviously that means it’s time to make a long rambling post about the sidewalks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
So store all loose articles in the pouch in front of you, use those seat belts (it can get kinda choppy out there so keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times). Now, lets talk about sidewalks.
One of the most incredible things about theme parks, particularly the Disney parks, is the tiniest details that are infused into everything. These details, most of the time, go completely unnoticed. Some people even go as far to say these tiny details are unimportant. When you think about the importance of sidewalks and all that really comes to mind is pavement, transportation, they’re easier to walk on compared to a dirt road.
But they are so much more than that. They’re transitions. They’re tools of immersion. They’re unique and creative.
They’re storytellers.
