This evening marks one year of my mother in heaven. I’ve been trying to figure out what to say for the past 3 days. Words still cannot express how much I miss her, our interactions, the wealth of knowledge, how she made the small things in life priceless, how she made mountains of adversity go away. Where I was weak, she stood up and fought for me. Her cooking and baking was out of this world, she didn’t need a plumber to fix thing in the house, she loved indiscriminately, and touched countless lives. 2 years ago, she was packing up our house to move to our new house in florida. Last year she spent her birthday in the hospital watching loved ones from all over the world wish her a happy birthday. Today she would have been 65. September 26, she will be in heaven for an entire year. I can’t wait to see her again in heaven, I miss her so much.
