In fact I feel downright foolish for not considering the possibilities for foreign illness the likes of which this dimension has never seen before and we could be wholly unprepared to deal with. I would like to discuss the possibility of a collaborative effort with you regarding this matter at a later date.

However, there is some good news should you wish to attempt returning the statue to its rightful owner. In my latest research I've discovered that all things have a tell about their dimension of origin; their molecular structure. The origins of everything lay within the stars and what they are made up of becomes what their respective universes are made from. Everything has a sort of code if you will that pinpoints their place of origin. Unfortunately it's a rather long and complex process that I was not going to bother with as I found the need of a chemist, but given your background as a virologist you may be able to assist me depending on your knowledge of the subject. In the meantime I can log my recent test coordinates and see if this carving was a result of my direct meddling or the work of the uptick in anomalous activity due to the increase in interdimensional activity.

It's been a while since I thought about what life was like as a child. I do not recall playing any sports in my youth. Come to think of it, there's not much I remember at all.

Perhaps that's for the best.

Ah, but chess is widely recognized as a sport isn't it? I may not have been the most active child, but I was academically inclined. It was a notion of foolish pride to partake in activities that were considered advanced for my age. There was a time once I was so enthralled with the game I tried to memorize an entire book of winning strategies. Shame I had no one to really play with growing up and my mother never liked chess. I didn't truly get to indulge in the game until I found a club in my college years, but that's irrelevant to this question as it does not pertain to childhood.
