Baby Reindeer is kinda amazing at being so brutal about the rape experience, especially about the aspects that come from being raped as a man by a man. The questions about your identity and if you brought it on yourself for just "giving off that vibe" and how admitting it even happened seems impossible: the ways one might cope it with all, many of them destructive.

Baby reindeer was brutal, triggering, uncomfortable, honest and beautiful. One of the best portrayals of someone with sexual trauma I've ever seen on TV.

Binge watched Baby Reindeer and it has to be the most perfect depiction of how people react to trauma and its evolvement. As one reviewer said, “If theres any take away from that series, is that there’s no such thing as perfect victimhood.” The turmoil and confusion Donny faced through the series was just so real. I still struggle to this minute with conflicting thoughts and coping with PTSD-I’ve never felt more SEEN in my day-to-day struggle. Baby Reindeer 100% is the series of the year for me. I left that show understanding myself just a little bit more.
