No this is still not WW3. Not every conflict is WW3. It could escalate to something bigger depends how Iran responds and America responds back. I’m guessing Iran will attack American bases in Iraq but the US seems aware that will happen based on the evacuation. At most a regional war though the idea of boots on the ground hasn’t been floated yet and would be really hard to make happen based on the border countries. But in the end Iran is not well liked and its biggest allies Russia is busy and China doesn’t get involved this way so no one else getting into this.

Didn't want to post this ask i got as it was just a bunch of brainless whining, but it does reflect a bigger issue.

Something can be morally bad but under the current law, legal.

It is completely possible to talk about how both hospitals in Gaza and Israel being attacked is morally bad, whilst also correcting misinformation about international law.

Hospitals are considered a protected area. When you use a hospital for military purposes, it now no longer is a protected area, and is now under international law, able to be attacked without it being a war crime. Any civilians killed, the onus falls onto the military who used the hospital for military purposes, not the military who attacked them. The only caveat is that excessive force cannot be used to attack said hospital. If excessive force is used, then both militaries take some blame.

Do I think Israel has never used excessive force? No, they have. I have said many times that Israel has committed war crimes.

Me speaking matter of factly about international law, does not mean I personally think any hospital hamas uses for military purposes should be bombed. I am a big proponent of targeted military operations which only harms militants in hospitals and doesn't destroy the hospital itself.

Me talking about what counts as what under international law does not mean I morally agree with something. By that logic, every public defender is an absolute monster considering some of the cases they have to defend because it's their job to do so.

I am not going to suddenly act like international law isn't international law just because I dislike hospitals being bombed. That is just childish and silly.

Whether or not international law should be changed or not is a whole different discussion you can have, without denying what current international law is.

The torah scrolls of a north London synagogue were desecrated and the building vandalized after unknown parties broke in during the early hours of Friday morning, according to British media reports and the Metropolitan police.
