A papercraft of Eugenides, from the amazingly wonderful Queen’s Thief series! The Thief has been one of my favorite books since it first blew my mind in elementary school, and it’s been such a joy following the subsequent books all through teenagerhood and into adulthood. The author Megan Whalen Turner was at a nearby YA book festival yesterday, and I made this artwork to give to her as a thank-you for the years of incredible stories!

Yoo it’s been a while followers but I am back on this train. Been meaning to make more art and post more often. There’s a lot happening in this chapter and I almost wanted to do like a complicated montage of everyone fleeing Shadar Logoth... But I enjoyed this quiet moment of Perrin getting dunked in the river. I love the suspense of this chapter though, it’s an absolute page turner.

The Bennu bird pin unlocked today over on Twitter (it’s actually at 800 retweets woof!)! Hooray!! I’m realy excited about the rainbow plating!

i cant believe i just watched this 15 and a half minute video about the little fidgets they animated into the 1st person views in overwatch except i absolutely can because this is EXACTLY the reason why this is the only shooter i actually play lol

I finally retrieved all my Wheel of Time books from my parents the other week so I was thinking of taking suggestions for chapters to draw things from that aren’t in The Eye of the World! I’m still planning to continue that project but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the next chapter I have to draw purely because of chronology. 

So if you have a favourite chapter let me know via ask or a comment, and I might draw it! (If I don’t pick it no hard feelings though, it just may not take my fancy or I might be saving it for later).

Hey Anon thanks for the courteous spoiler check! I’ve read all of the books so happy to take suggestions from any of them :)

Also just a general note for anyone who wants to submit suggestions, if you can tell me the exact chapter that would be fab. I’m pretty good at pinpointing scenes from books 1-4, but it starts to slide downhill after that.

I realise I’ve unintentionally been increasing the number of panels in my comic pages but I should probably dial it back from nine (I just wanted to fit this scene on two pages).

Get ready for Shadar Logoth, my favourite of all suspiciously bad sounding cities. I always loved the idea of Shadar Logoth, it’s just one of those imminently cool worldbuilding setups. 

I started one of the Schoolism courses for environment design the other week so I think it would be nice to revisit this at the end of it and see how I can make it better (the scale is still a bit wrong for the book description but I keep telling myself these are learning exercises and not to get too hung up on them).

There should be many more horses in this scene but y’all I’m done with horses for the moment please free me.

Still here doing the chapter project, just took a break for a bit. This page languished on my iPad for a while because I hated it after I started inking it so I redrew the first two panels and liked it a lot more. Also trying out some different rendering styles. I love Moiraine's stone cold intimidation of the Whitecloaks in this chapter, it’s beautiful.
