Come visit the Fresno State Student Art Show. It’s a pretty cool exhibit showcasing a variety of student work. Several people I know have submitted their own art into the showcase and it is amazing how creative and imaginative some students can be at times.

So one of the requirements for this class is to do a couple of Film reviews. As such, This is my review of the American adaptation of the movie Godzilla Raids Again, Gigantis the Fire Monster. There will most likely be spoilers as I have no Idea how to do a good movie review.
As a major toku nerd, I love godzilla movies. I was excited to watch the 2019 movie and looking forward to the upcoming round 2 of Godzilla vs Kong in 2020. As a build up for the upcoming movie, I decided to go ahead and rewatch previous films in the Godzilla franchise which led me to finding Gigantis the Fire Monster. Having never seen the original version of the film, I went into this blindly and found it quite enjoyable. I then went on to watch the original to compare the two.
Made in 1955 as Godzilla Raids Again, the film was adapted and heavily edited for american audiences for its release in 1959 as Gigantis the Fire Monster. All mentions and traces of Godzilla in the film were edited as an attempt to distance the film from the first godzilla film, even going to the lengths to replace all Godzilla’s roars with that of his enemy kaiju in the film, Anguirus.
One point I found quite funny was how the characters would go back and forth between various pronunciations of Anguirus, the other monster in the film, even mistaking and renaming the Original Godzilla as Anguirus, Killer of the Living. Another part was the explanations behind the origin of fire monsters, something that I found quite similar to the explanation behind the origin of the Titans in legendary pictures Monsterverse. The basic plot follows along the same path as the original film with some differences in the origin of the monsters.
Otherwise, I will give this film a 6/10 for a fun new experience for a major godzilla nerd.

Here are the Photos for My Theme Project. The basis of this project was the animals my family raises. Not the best choice but Animals was too broad. Most of these are chickens since my family decided to kill a few to eat the week before this project was due. I couldn’t take photos of that since I was the one holding the chickens at the time and didn’t want to get my camera dirty.

Starting a new project in Photo Class!
The theme of this project are animals that my family raises. I have a lot of pets in my home ranging from chickens, dogs, turtles, fish, a tortoise, and some other birds. My plan is to showcase each of these animals around my home from feeding, playing, or in the case of the chickens, cooking.

For our third project for the semester, we made ourselves some Pin Hole Cameras and experimented with them. Here are some pictures for the blog. Really enjoyed how weird some of my photos turned out and got annoyed whenever I got the timing wrong. Overall, this was a fun project that made me realize how much easier digital photography is. (By the way, my photo captions keep disappearing.)

Attended the Yishai Jusidman Prussian Blue exhibition today at Fresno State. Yes, the last photo isn't that good, I didn’t fix my camera settings correctly but it is one of the better ones I took. By the way, Yishai is the man in the center with the orange mic.
