yes, i definitely have a few tips because i was super nervous to try anything anal again after a bad experience when i was like 19 that resulted in fissures (micro tears at your opening that are pretty painful and result from not enough lubrication or preparation). my partner really likes most things anal and i have come to really like plugs and such, and my number one tip is start small. you can’t go from never having a finger in your ass to taking a dildo in a day. they make great silicone plug sets that go up in size gradually so that you can get used to one size before moving up. it takes some patience, but it’s worth it to be safe and not hurt yourself.

also: LUBE. You literally can never have enough lube. it will help prevent tearing and will make it infinitely more comfortable for you as a receiver. also with a plug, before insertion, make sure you are as relaxed as possible and (again) have plenty of lube and take a deep breath as it’s pushed in.
