I wanted to say thank you for 10k reads on HCW on Wattpad!!

Would’ve liked to have some big finished artwork to go along with this but instead I’ll do one of my info dumps (I have many more in my drafts but I try to administer them one by one to not spam🙏🏼🤍)

Idk if anyone remembers this drawing of Lluna at the window, I can’t even remember when I began it exactly, but it was supposed to be a two panel piece. Lluna looking down at Baldwin as he arrives back from somewhere.

Below will be Baldwin passing through an arch to the bailey, looking up at her from his horse, hand up as he salutes her <3 (this is where I was and am having trouble—the perspective, especially drawing Lialusin 🐴.)

This is a scene still early in their marriage, but when Lluna is starting to really feel *things✨💫* for him, and we can see just how excited she is to see him again (even if they haven’t really been apart for long)

This particolored surcoat below is not a battle outfit despite the hauberk—more recreational. As he is returning home, he is also likely gonna be wearing his mask and not his helm. //ignore the lack of proper equipment on Lialusin, I obv did not add it yet because of the perspective troubles I was having with her, I likely will have to start over with my current skill level.

/the next two pics: I have not done much more with that anti-AI figurine starter pack yet, I want it to look perfect so I am waiting for the right time when I feel like it. But I did draw a basic outline of the sword (grip not wrapped yet).

And next, a photo I just took bc I found it funny—I went upstairs to my brother’s lil apartment to see what he was doing, and he was watching Forged in Fire; an old episode. (As he is a sword fighter, he’s also done smithy work before, and would like to do more if it was accesible here, as would I (to make my own sword lol)😞). And I literally only saw a curved guard (my fav type of curved guard, or at least one of them) and was like “IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS??” and my bro: yes. Exactly what you think. CRUSADER SWORDS YAYYYYY the one in the pic was not that one—and not the best one—but the other one OH MY it cut like heaveeennn. So I sat down on the floor looking at the TV like a dummy and my brother started laughing at my nerdy sword-fixated self 🤡

Here below something else I found a funny councidence; i was thinking of doing a combo of both battle mask and helmet, thinking why not? And then opening instagram the first thing I was was a reminder of this mid 1st century Roman mask-helmet 😍😍 so there’s no reason not to do it

Finally, I made a new temporary cover for my Saladin story! With Arn’s Saladin because his pose is so coooool here—but it is not really how he looks in my story—and I love Ghassan’s so it is not to push him aside or anything!!!

Unfortunately I have nothing to share with You at the moment however, like I’ve mentioned, I’m in the middle of two big projects that I’d like to publish soon (at least one of them, because I’m considering doing the second one as a full painting on canvas and that will take quite some time to complete 😅😌💕). I’m also currently working on my novel so You can expect the first chapter to appear soon! 🤭💞

I’ll try to sketch sth in the meantime (my laptop is still pretty much dead 🥲 so I’ll stick to traditional drawings for now) since my exam session is finally coming to an end (🙏) and I’ll hopefully find more time for myself now 🥹💕

Bases for the animatic/animation are done!

(Kinda, you know me, NEVER done).

What’s he looking at? He’s not orating 🤲🏽 nor is he in stupor, fascinated at his hands lol.

The animation is supposed to be a chibi in his hands that represents us, his “fandom”/community, doing cute little noises. It was gonna be either Lluna or me there, but not very detailed and vague enough for this purpose idkkk… It might end up being a simple b&w character. All depends on what I can do in the end.

This was inspired by an artist on instagram (apri._.chan)

Now to figure out how to incorporate the animated elements. I have done lil animations before, but this involves more diff types of movements.

Wip <3

A little wip of King Baldwin IV and my OC, Mal, from the fic „The Breadwinner” that I’ll be soon publishing on wattpad and ao3 (once I’ll figure out how to work it out and finish the details of the first chapter 💀 hahaha); the wip is inspired by the sculpture “The kiss” by Yves Pires 💕

This is only a little sketch and I’m not sure if I’ll be even finishing it any time soon - it was just a little warmup before starting a bigger project for @baudouinette with our OCs and Baldy 🤭💕

There are many mistakes in the wip, for example Baldwin should definitely be noseless but I couldn’t make it fit into the drawing 🥲 also I realized too late that I’ve swapped his hands and his missing fingers are on his right hand instead of left one (maybe I’ll fix it in the future) I’m yet to figure out how to draw a leprosy on a person so I kind of experimented here 😅

Sneak peek of REPEL’s first chapter

The story partly structured as a Greek tragedy, inspired by Memento Mori, with an FMC/ OC as a leper.

The song, Jherusalem grant damage me fais, i need to transliterate into 12th century old french (just minor spelling changes on few words from these already Old French lyrics). But if you can understand a little of it, you’ll see how “well” it fits in a way 🤔❤️‍🩹 The FMC is half Byzantine, so the greek aspect also fits :).

I know it’s an unusual story structure, and that people prefer more narrative stories. But this is a project for fun, to try my hand at something different. If you also want to try reading something different, here’s ur chance lol. There will be romance—this does not mean their awful situation will be romanticized.

Updated a provisional book cover for HCW using old art!

I think it looks rather nice! Doesn’t represent all the nuances of the plot that I want for its cover, but it’ll do for now! Better than the photo-based one, although I admit I got attached to the images of both with their veils, since they matched so well. 👉🏼👈🏼🎀
