October is the perfect month to watch (or rewatch) “The Guest”.

After the recent spate of good shows, I am briefly circling back to “The Guest” because those other shows truly brought home how much TG and Kang Gil Young captured my heart. As enjoyable as all those shows were, none came even close to setting my heart and mind on fire like KGY and TG did. They made me desperately miss KGY and TG, not to mention the perfect emotional beats of the characters arcs and the fiery chemistry between the actors. 😭❤️‍🔥🖤🤍🤎

I keep forgetting Choi Yoon is actually strong like he may be dying in every scene and be unable to run for more than 20 seconds without getting cramps but he WILL pick up and carry a grown adult like it's easy peasy

Honestly the only constant theme in the guest is a weird demon is obsessed with a taxi driver that barely has any income coming in cuz he's busy trying to catch this demon and this demon wants him SO BAD that he kills off half his family and tries to kill his detective bestie and cute little dramatic priest bf cuz he's a little bitch and we have these self sacrificing gays willing to die for eo and the detective bestie being pissed and done with them.

Oh and they also go on side quests exorcisms..yah good times

Whoever choreographed the fight scenes in Happiness did an amazing job because both Jung Yi-Hyun and Yoon Sae-Bom keep trying to put the zombie people in pressure point holds, which only work on normal humans because they cause pain, and they never work on zombies which they quickly remember and then try something else.

It makes perfect sense because their first reaction to being attacked would be what they've been taught over and over to do to the point that it's a reflex, but then when their brain kicks in they remember that they need to adapt.

Hard to screenshot, but here in Ep 1 Sae-bom's expecting this hold to work and then the zombie guy gets out of it right away:

Honestly, this man is hilarious with his found family dreams for Yoon Sae-bom. He's the reason she got fake married and now he's like, "Just adopt that kid."
