Positive stuff!

Hey everyone! It has been quite a while since I posted here but I just wanted to let you all know I’m doing okay and I really appreciate all the kind words you have said to me.

I just started back at my job this week and I wanted to share some positive trans-related experiences I had at work. I met a trans coworker in the bathroom who complimented my hair and said I don’t seem cis. I’m happy that other trans people can pick up on that. We talked for a minute and it was like my favorite bathroom conversation ever. I also put a they/them pronoun pin on my work shirt which I hope makes trans customers feel seen and comfortable. At work, I’m in a position where I sometimes need to confirm people’s names and date of birth, and I often avoid using first names, especially when it seems like the first name on file could be the person’s deadname. I have the power to not deadname customers! This makes me really happy as someone who has been deadnamed a lot when going for appointments and stuff. Lastly, I have been finding it kind of difficult to speak up and correct coworkers about my pronouns, but one of my coworkers actually apologized for using gendered language for me, and is really making an effort to not do it.

Things are still harder for me than if I were healthy and abled, but these instances made me happy and I hope they bring you some joy too.

Hi my name is Paige, I was wondering if there is a name for when someone is born a girl but is okay with people using she/they/he pronouns? I am a girl but I'm okay with people using any pronouns.

Hi Paige!

Ultimately, you are the only one who can decide your label(s). As far as pronouns go, pronouns don’t automatically mean you are or have to use a certain label. They are entirely up to you. You can be a girl who is okay with any pronouns and that is totally fine! At the same time, if you feel your gender is not entirely or not always girl, you can also do some exploring. There are tons of labels out there, and if you find one that describes you, that is awesome! In case you want to look into these, here are some labels that can be related to/have some element of girl or woman: genderfae, demigirl, girlflux

And some labels that are not always related to being a girl, but can include girl for some people: genderfluid, bigender

and if you straight up don’t care/your gender is unimportant: cassgender, gender apathetic

But again, if you find yourself only identifying with the term girl, that is fine too. I hope this helps!

Hi I’m trying out the name Cam (short for Chameleon) and they/them, he/him, ne/nim/neir/nimself, and e/em/eir/emself pronouns. I have 2 dogs, I play the french Horn, my favorite color is green, my current favorite singer is rina sawayama, and one of my current interests is the untamed.

Chameleon has an epic name. They are trying out several pronoun sets, and I hope I can help them with that. They have two dogs, which is wonderful! I wonder what their dogs are named. He plays the french horn, which is really cool. I used to play flute. If I still had mine, I would totally be down to hang out and have a jam session with him. Also, his favorite color is green. Cam likes listening to music as well, and neir favorite singer right now is Rina Sawayama. I LOVE Rina Sawayama!!! I wonder if ne would play some of Rina’s song with me during our jam sess. I would love to listen to and play Rina with nim. E also likes tv, and eir favorite show is the Untamed. I have heard of that but know nothing, so e would have to tell me a bit about it. uh idrk what to say but i took a uquiz the other day and it asked how id describe my gender and ig ive never really thought that hard but i said 'sentient, murky, thick fog, with sparkles every so often' (or something) and honestly idek. this might be the wrong place to ask but are there genders/labels like that or similar to it? and/or are there pronouns you know/could think of for that? even if you cant answer, thanks anyway, bc idek myself where that came from. um have a nice day.

There are definitely loads of labels out there that I don’t know, so maybe people in the replies can help out with this.

I don’t think I’ve heard of something like this before. You could always create your own labels and pronouns! Here’s some ideas that may or may not exist yet:

hi, i'm considering the name amari, and i like pix/pixel/pixelself pronouns. uhm there's not that much info abt me i'm pretty boring. i like anime, especially naruto bc it's a huge comfort show, vocaloid is also really neat. miku is actually pretty cute. uhm my current hyperfixation is the saw franchise because i dunno i'm weird and like watching saw movies. peter strahm is swag saw 5 never happened. i feel kinda dumb typing this out but um yeah

Hi Charlie. First off your awsome and your doing amazing work.

Second, I’m experimenting and trying out the demiboy label. If I could get a name and pronoun check that’d be wonderful. I primarily use it/its pronouns but am thinking about going by he/him to the general public yknow.

Um some interests. I love writing and mask making. I’m currently working on learning Post production editing. I’m also going to throw some mental health things in here because no one ever validates me on that and it’s just as bothersome as my dysphoria. I’m very paranoid. I feel very disconnected from my human form and won’t look in the mirror for weeks. I’m trying to keep up hope though in my situation. I’m hoping so desperately there is something else in the world that will save me from my current hell.

I wonder what kind of masks it makes, and what it likes to write about. He is also struggling with mental health stuff in addition to dysphoria, and I am sorry he is going through that. He is dealing with paranoia and feeling disconnected from his body. That sounds really difficult and I hope things improve for it in the future!
