Alright, last update...

Buttercup is tentatively completely healthy. I say tentatively because the vet thinks she has a food intolerance to meat protiens... so we have a vegan dog. I guess. I am of the belief that a carnivore is a carnivore so I really don't know how to feel about this diet but her gut health is finally on the mend so we're playing along for now. But this is only after a VERY long struggle with the vet to even have a plan of action, and begging to please give her probiotics- which as I understand it is standard post-giardia treatment, but the vet refused to let us try that first..? I have many gripes, but I don't have the extra cash to go looking for a new vet.

Now we have the struggle of having to re-train an extremely anxious pup who's the pickiest eater I've ever seen- which I was more prepared for than the gut health mess lol. Now we have food she can eat, it's time to get her weight back up.

Thank you to those who have helped us! Commissions are still open, but now there is no urgency. I'll likely make a post with updated fixed prices...

Buttercup Vet Commissions!

This is my new pup Buttercup that I adopted with my best bud, and she is already a wonderful part of the family. Problem is, the shelter we got her from assured us she was over giardia.... but she wasn't. And because it is a pre-existing condition, pet insurance won't cover anything.

Buttercup has had treatment for the last month and a half and is slowly getting better, but she needs to see the vet again to test her stool and see if it is cleared, or if there is another problem. Which may mean more intensive, and expensive treatment... and the lab alone is $87.70, the initial appointment was $79, and each round of medication has been at or around has been $58.15 weekly... It is already difficult to make rent, but not impossible yet. And since we can't rely on pet insurance, we will not be able to afford her treatment if it ends up being specialty or long term.

SO, to make up for this, I am opening sketch commissions. These will be cleaned up sketches only with suggested prices, but really they are "pay what you want". But keep in mind: the more you pay, the more detail I will put into the art.

First and preferred option is the headshots. $20 is the suggested price, but I will take anything over $15... but rendering will only be added if the donation is over $30. And if you want to throw in more, I will happily add a simple background

If you'd like to get full bodies, I can draw those too. Generally I double the price of what would be a headshot, and additional characters are +50%

ALL donations regardless of size will get a small doodle at LEAST unless specified. The examples provided are for reduced commission amounts of money.

If you can't donate, I would highly appreciate a signal boost, every little bit helps...

New update! Buttercup is free of parasites!! :D

Bad news is she is still having one of the main symptoms of giardia, which the vet thinks may be linked to food intolerance (common for long term cases, apparently). So now we have to keep her on a strict kibble only diet for a month before slowly introducing other food again... chews and treats included :")

It's been a week and there is... improvement? Some days are better than others. Really the worst thing so far is now we are having a hard time training since we can't as easily reward her.

But hey, we finally have good news~

Commissions will remain open until she has a clean bill of health, thank you to everyone who has commissioned so far!
