Muppet remake of Beauty and the Beast where the only humans are Belle and the Prince. Not the Beast, the Prince. The Beast is played by the Prince in a full-sized muppet suit, a la Big Bird. When it comes time for the transformation scene, he takes off the muppet suit and leaves it lying flaccid on the ground, like the corpse of his former self, like a giant serpent that has shed his skin. Belle is enchanted by his human form; the rest of the muppets are having an existential crisis about the empty muppet suit he’s left behind.

Alternatively: Everyone is played by muppets, including Belle, and the Beast is played by a human, looking normal and human. And they keep talking about what a hideous beast he is, and how smooth his skin is, how terrifyingly tall he is, and how weird he looks. At the transformation scene, he turns back into a muppet, and everyone rejoices.

What is a Reverse Infection AU? Think of the world already made to be infected, where monsters already roaming around... Then suddenly one of them contorts in broad daylight. All the monsters looked on the one in pain, struggling to stand when they look at the event in horror.

Then, that thing stood up and all the monsters looked on in horror of that thing... That normal thing. A normal person waving at them all cheerfully.

That would be hilariously goofy. It would be like that pointing at cat meme, except the monsters are pointing at that normal person sitting on a chair looking fine af.

I don’t think people not in the know understand how big of a deal Bridget Guilty Gear canonically being trans is.

Bridget first appeared in 2002, and her existence and popularity was instrumental in the popularization of “traps” in the anime community. Like, this was the quintessential example, she actually predates the term by two years. This was the one chuds yelled “traps aren’t gay” about for two decades; she might as well have been a central pillar that all examples of trans characters being mislabeled as “traps” can be led back to.

And now they can never use her like that again without having to deal with the transness of it all. It’s glorious
