is Truthless Recluse blind or visually impaired in your “the scholar and the recluse” AU?

I remember seeing a post from you about blind PV but didn’t know if it carried over. Does that make sense?

He's visually impaired! PV being blind definitely did carry over in the first comic I did of my time travel au :) The only way he can /see/ per say is through detecting and feeling the magic and soul jams of others and in things ! I just visualize it as him seeing their light through the nothingness. It's mainly when he has his eyes open tho! but like devsis.. i do make my mistakes

i try very hard to be conscience about it though :,)

Though Recluse can see more than he normally could thanks to Shadow Milk, it came with the consequence of that being used /against/ him... a kind of headcanon that came about from people realizing he has pupils in this form compared to any other form like the "opening his eyes to the truth" kind of thing :)

The nightmares he gets definitely didnt come from nowhere after all :,D it came from shadow milk intentionally messing with him further

I’ve always had this little headcanon of mine that pre-corrupted shadow milk is a HUGE people pleaser and always had this need to want to fit in. Like he is supposed to embody the virtue of knowledge and therefore people look out for him for answers (he is happy to oblige since it gives him a purpose, that’s what he was created for). But he cannot help but think that people just come to him for the sole reason to gain knowledge from him and not FOR HIM as a person.

I don’t know if that makes sense but this people pleasing trait of him could be a result of wanting to make the witches proud of him (this need to be their favorite creation) “Lucifer was an angel and he was god’s favorite” (god = witches) and (Lucifer = Shadow milk) you know

Sorry for the rambling, I’m just fascinated with shadow milk’s past and all the references he has to biblical figures 😅

atleast my illustrations dont... my comics tend to be more put together in the sketch phase !! Might be because I only lineart those.. who knows! Sometimes I have to resketch over them so it's more readable for ME ...

Of course! Blueberry is still an enthusiastic lad! I think of the Beasts corruption as enhancing feelings and traits already there but dialed up to a 20 to make them worse than they already are. So I imagined Shadow Milk if he was turned down by quite a bit, He's very firm on the spread of knowledge and telling the truth. Everyone should be allowed access to all kinds of knowledge and do what they should for the good of earthbread! But like Shadow Milk, loves a good joke here and there and acting a little aloof when he's with his closest companions! Though unlike him he wouldn't act maliciously for their attention, or for the sake of a good laugh. He finds those within his inner circle (the other beasts) to be most comfortable and homey and his biggest supporters in his pursuit of knowledge! (Though maybe deep down he knows not all knowledge must be known.. and not all truth must be spoken.) Erm! Anyways!

In this au yes he's headmaster and founder! He still teaches classes and hosts lecture and the students find him to be rather accessible! Or he tries to be.. though he seems to have a shadow lingering with him these days.. funny right? As for Recluse, in regards to his soul jam he's very interested in his story, and why he's here /how/ he's here. Why he has his soul jam.. he has plenty of questions and absolutely no answer. Especially with my most recent posts concerning the witches, he's a little wary of what kind of omen the Recluse is. Whether he's good.. or bad.. or entirely neutral.. he's trying to be careful yet friendly. Though Recluse finds him and his curiosity... annoying. Since his only goal is to /just/ get back home and find Vanilla Orchid. Though I'll admit I'll be jumping around in the timeline for them and won't make each comic for them linear unless stated otherwise lol. I'll probably try to compile a google doc with all this info so i can keep myself sane ;p

He hasn't tried! Though Recluse made him a little curious about what he can do and might try on his own time! I thought him not floating shows he's grounded and "down to earth" quite literally with his followers. Compared to Shadow Milk who consistently floats and is shown that while he likes the spotlight, he also is the puppeteer and the one who controls things behind the scene before he makes himself known. Blueberry prefers to be among the crowd, not necessarily making himself known but spreading what he knows instead. There are.. a few things Blueberry is embarrassed of, even if it's against what he preaches he has a few things he hides away personally.
