greetings everyone !

it’s your friendly neighborhood vulcan, spock, back with with another kid. under the cut you’ll find some bullet points about mister minjoon. i’ll fill out his bio later this week once i’m ( hopefully ) feeling better.

( choi san. cismale. he/him. ) nam “adam” minjoon is a twenty year old virgo. the ocularist student/fencing prodigy’s go-to order is a shot of espresso and a banana. they like to listen to under the same sky by miyavi while they wait for their order. the employees of the deja brew think they are of an all work and no play mentality but swear they’re totally persevering as well. maybe that’s why late nights of sculpting, well-used lavender candles, hands gently shaping wet clay, and lukewarm forgotten tea remind me of them.

general background trigger warnings: death

he was born in gunsan, south korea, to two loving parents.

his father passed away when he was three years old.

he has an older sister who he is extremely close to.

he’s well-known for his successful career in fencing, specifically foil and sabre.

he started fencing at a young age after being inspired by the remnants of the 1988 olympics in seoul during a trip to the city. he went home to research the games and fell in love with fencing after watching videos and learning about the sport.

his family has always been supportive, but he mother does tend to try and control his life in order to make sure he’s on track with his ( often times her ) fencing career goals.

he has competed as both an individual and on a team.

in 2012 he and his family moved to seoul to provide him with the best fencing professionals.

he participated in the 2016 omlypics in rio, but did not receive a medal.

among other competitions, he partook in the world fencing championship in 2018 and 2019 on south korea’s sabre team in which they were champions both years.

he moved to los angeles in june 2019 in order to continue training with a south korean champion who is currently working in the u.s.

he’s set to participate in the tokyo 2020 summer olympics for foil team and individual, representing south korea.

outside of fencing he is studying to become a ocularist.

he enjoys pottery and sculpting, as well as sketching figures.

often times he goes to deja brew in order to take a break from his studio, or to relax after practicing.

he’s typically pretty soft spoken, but once you get to know him and he you, he warms up and is just as sweet as can be.

he usually dyes his hair wild colors right after competing in and winning at a competition as a form of celebration.

lavender candles are one of the few things that can truly sooth him when he is stressed or anxious.

i’d love if there were some childhood friends who lived in gunsan or seoul.

exes are always amazing. whether they ended good or bad is totally open. he’s open to all lovely faces.
