oc asks that reveal more than you think
Do they sleep with a stuffed animal? If they have multiple, who’s the favorite?
Can they take care of a plant? What about a pet? What about a child?
Ask them to describe their love interest.
Do they look good in red?
Speech! Speech! Speech! Speech! Will they give one, and what about?
Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?
Describe them in three words. Now let them describe themself in three words.
Do complex puzzles intrigue or frustrate them?
Do they empathize with non-sentient things (dolls, plants, books…)?
What age do they most want to be right now?
They’ve won the lottery. Spend, or save?
Do they like romance in the books they read (or in the book they’re in)?
Name one thing their parents taught them.
Would they agree with the term ‘guilty pleasure’? Do they have any?
What would they consider a waste of time– other than school or work?
If money wasn’t a limit, what would they wear?
Do they like children?
Kissing: tongue or no tongue?
Do they study before tests? Practice before job interviews?
What do they like that nobody else does?
What would it take for them to break up with someone? What would be the last straw?
Do they like being called pet names? Do they call other people pet names? What’s their go-to?
Stability or novelty?
Honesty or charity?
Safety or possibility?
Talent or effort?
Forgiveness or vengeance (or…)?
Would they date a fixer-upper?
What recurring dreams do they have?
What would they do if they knew it would be forgiven?

This is me. This is who you're hurting when you say quick balls are ugly.

Muse Mixup Madness—May 1, 2024
hello, one and all, and welcome to our very delayed prompts post! this should be the last time prompts are this late, since i've added reminders in my calendar now.
like i said before, this month there's going to be reruns. specifically, i'm going to be taking the most popular prompts from february and march to offer up again. so without further ado! all prompts are low fantasy.
1. What Once Went Wrong
This and What Once Went Right were originally one prompt, but given how different they are in practice I've decided to divide them into two. For this one, you'll be envisioning what your character's life would be like if an unfortunate event in their past either didn't happen or turned out in their favor.
2. What Once Went Right
Both sides of the coin are here today, but in the future you'll usually only be seeing one of this prompt and What Once Went Wrong. This one's the exact opposite of its twin: take a time in your character's life that worked out well or where they succeeded at something, and find out what would have happened if things hadn't ended so nicely.
3. The Road Not Taken
Decisions, decisions! Everyone's made them, and everyone's path in life has been forever altered by them. Pinpoint a critical choice your character once made, and see who they'd have become if they'd chosen a different option.
4. Home On The Range
We do have one new prompt, though it's a very different style from the other three! In the Pokémon Ranger games, people and Pokémon have a somewhat different relationship. What would your character be like if they were from one of those regions?

Log 3 - Case V1
It seems like it's over. The fighting has stopped, I'm regretting wearing such a heavy coat in a burning fire but there's only loose embers to worry about but the grass feels very damp.
They've left him there, Colress. I suspect for Authorities, I'll be sticking around to ensure he doesn't try anything funny but I will remain out of site for the time being. I have been keeping an eye on the footage released and managed to avoid having any clear photos taken of me.
I will approach Vanilla's family afterwards and, give my condolences.

[...The video continues from the last post.
After watching Vision get to their feet, no longer able to meet Vanilla's eyes, Vanilla turns to Colress.
"And you there. I figure you want to leave this burned clearing in one piece? With your fancy results?"
Colress rolls his eyes unprofessionally, but makes no motion to flee.
And so Cross floats in front of Vanilla as she places her hand to her chest, taking a deep long breath. Though her footing falters a bit. This time, the Swords don't take no for an answer, surrounding and supporting their junior with their bodies. Amadeus ducks to wedge herself in the crook of her auncle's arm, and softly touching Vanilla's side...
"Wob-buffet."
Vanilla's face goes from startled to soft with recognition. Colress's face looks like he had just received the most insulting blow of his life. Shadow Tag? He couldn't leave this entire time because of Shadow Tag?!
"Hey, Soda. I thought you fled with Shuu and Chibi and the rest of them. It's dangerous out there. You should..."
Vanilla trails off, watching as Chiru soars high, dropping brilliant Draco Meteors on Reshiram and dodging between Dragon Pulses. Ringogo contributes his own Draco Meteors from a much more grounded position. Even so, a single hit from Reshiram hits hard. If only they could... reflect that...
Vanilla digs in his bag for a scrap of fabric. She pulls what looks like an Expert Belt at first, shoving it back down into the infinity that are bags, before finally fishing up a red-yellow sash and gently wrapping it around Soda's head. They laugh a little, before choking back a sob.
"So, little buddy. Are you down to try something?"
"Waaahb."
Vanilla nods, then waves at Chiru and Ringogo to draw attention right to the blue blob. As for Vanilla... another deep breath. He points dramatically at Soda with both arms, then opens his arms wide, palms facing each other, looking over just about everyone present. Then they clap with a familiar rhythm. Clap-clap, clap-clap clap.
The Swords pick up on the message instantly, extending their blades to gently rest on Soda's head and power his efforts. A Helping Hand. And at that, a great way to catch a dragon's eye.
"Waaaaaaa-buffeht!" The Pokémon calls out, a taunt but not a Taunt. As soon as Reshiram deigns Soda worthy of its attention, kindling fiery blue flames in its jaw and shaping them into a cyclone, Soda shines brightly with a Mirror Coat, reflecting the brilliant blue of the flames in shimmering prisms as he barely bears the attack and reflects it back at far greater power, Reshiram roaring in response.
When the beam of light dims enough for the scene to be visible again, Reshiram remains standing. There's an eerie silence. Until the dragon drops on one of its legs. Then the second, forced into a full roost, but not a Roost.
Vanilla cries out.
"Now! Somebody!"
He glares mainly at Colress, who looks away and shrugs as he tosses the hybrid a Master Ball. They look at it for a moment, then shake their head. Not the time to think too hard. She chucks the ball as hard as she can, sighing with relief as it clicks. Even though it was a guaranteed capture. Chiru grabs the ball and places it in his trainer's hands, settling as a makeshift scarf around her neck afterwards.
They pause for a moment, breathing deep the smoky air, then snarl in Amadeus's direction. She drags over a heavily weakened--and dazed--Necrozma. Vanilla snarls at the being first, covering his ears a bit when Necrozma responds in whatever otherworldian accent it has. The two nod at each other though, and approach Vision, who is more than a bit confused where her part of "fixing things" went in this scenario.
Then, Vanilla shoves the Master Ball in Vision's hands before they can regret it.
"I... talked with Necrozma. You can't stay here. But... there is a life after Plasma. After loss. ...Or I sure hope there is. But... there's plenty of ways out there to keep Pokémon from getting hurt. Out there. I'm sure you can find something in your world. With or without Reshiram."
Vision blinks, tempted to shove the Pokéball back in her alter-ego's hands.
"I... I ruined your life."
"Right. And I hate you. I hate myself. I don't know how I can even face you now, but... what's the point of justice if we don't right our wrongs? You're the only one who can fix things in your world. You owe it to them more than to me. And... I'll fix my mistakes here."
Vision shuts up. Looks at the Master Ball in her hand. Looks over at Wolfgang. Looks up for a moment. Sighs.
"...I won't receive a better offer anywhere else. I'll go."
Vision turns to the Necrozma, reaching out her hand awkwardly to Necrozma as the Pokémon opened an Ultra Wormhole, pulling in the surrounding air like a strong breeze, pulling the camera (and by extension, Cross) in ever so slightly. Without a word, the Pokémon grabbed the interdimensional traveler, and the two were off.
"...Colress. Thanks to your invention... Necrozma is free to do as they wish. I wouldn't count on them coming back."
"Your point?"
"Soda here..."
Vanilla makes eye contact with the Pokémon, covered in a thick layer of soot and absolutely smothered by Dolly. She walks to his side and digs a Full Restore from her bag, wiping away the ash from his face as she sprays.
"Is in perfectly fine health, as you can see. So I wouldn't expect to Teleport out of here either. You can just wait for the authorities~."
Colress shrugs like this means absolutely nothing. Presumably having had enough Colress for two lifetimes, Vanilla wanders away expressionless, landing at his brother's side. Their knees collide suddenly with the earth, and before they can breathe they're beset upon by just about every Pokémon they know. Crawling in their lap, roosting on their hair, supporting their back.
There's the sound of quiet sobs as Cross approaches. By the time the two are face-to-face, Vanilla's wiping his eyes with the heels of his palms, new tears replacing the old one rapidly.
"boss... y-you two... were really close. i think you'll always be, pzzt."
"Mm..." Vanilla intones the only response she can give between shaky breaths, before the video ends.]

//It's also in the tags but to reiterate, major warning for a written description of Pokémon death below the cut. It's not particularly graphic or bloody, but it's written as somebody standing from a distance would see it and with heavy emotional weight afterwards, so do be aware.
[Video after video...
As Reshiram stumbles across the ground, sending Pokémon scattering with each move and attacking with Dragon Pulse those that move too swiftly, Cross focuses not on the two Zor leading the giant dragon's movements with illusions away from the population, and instead towards Vision, whose heels squelch in the rain-dampened earth as she pushes past just about every other combatant to seize Colress by the lapels of his lab jacket. He doesn't do much to resist with his usable hand as she sets into reaming the man out.
"You! You and I both know this isn't how things were supposed to go at all, you sorry excuse for a whelp of a man! We agreed on the Moor of Icirrus! So why are we here, and why am I fighting my brother?! Can you not follow the simplest of directions?! The simplest of boundaries?! Or are you forgetting who the person who controls the Dragon of Truth is here?! Besides, if this keeps going, we're all going to--to die, with how this thing is rampaging! So end this madness already!"
Colress, oddly smug for someone who could have his face kicked in at any given moment, replies in an even tone. "I had told you that Lostlorn Forest was by far the best location to amplify the emotions of those fighting, and thus produce the best data. That includes your own, of course. Even if you are the one who wields Reshiram... right now, Reshiram's will is fully its own. Something you can only accomplish with my help. So even so, I can't let you sabotage my experiment. For both of our sakes. My apologies, Lady Vision."
The half-Zorua sneers at Colress, pulling at his lapels one more time as she roughly tosses his weight to the ground, hard enough to leave skids in the mud. "Watch your temper..." Colress warns sternly as Vision turns to Reshiram. The dragon's steely blue eyes were already locked onto Vision's position. It seemed more enraged by the incessant noise than the skittering creatures Vanilla and Wolfgang had conjured.
"And you! You've been here since that day, you should understand exactly why--!" She slips into snarling at the Reshiram, voice intensifying as she becomes more and more incensed, her screams breaking into an outraged cry at the end. Cross moves closer to Vanilla and Wolfgang, capturing their glimpses at each other, their faces softening as something hits them. Maybe even sympathy.
What Cross is more interested in, though, is the Reshiram's looming posture as Vision continues to rant, its wings rearing upwards and upwards until in a clean motion--
A scream pierces the air, the same in pitch and tone as Vanilla's, as Reshiram seizes Vision in its claws and readies its wings as if to take to the sky, flapping heavily, shaking the nuisance in its confusion. Nobody moves an inch, save Wolfgang, who Vanilla catches by his arm. The microphone picks up a soft "Please," but the wolf shakes his head and snarls in response. Vanilla nods reluctantly. She begins focusing her power, scars glowing red through her clothing. Wolfgang rushes for the dragon's shank, leaping in the air to claw into the dragon's fur as its feet leave the earth and it rapidly ascends.
Reshiram thrashes as the Zoroark claws its way up its body and across the dragon's wing, but Wolfgang's battle-bonded claws hold even when shaken high in the air. Even when his crest finally breaks into energy. It's inaudible, but Wolfgang snarls something at Vision. Her mouth moves as Wolfgang pries her arm from Reshiram's claw, then her body. Below, Dolly the Darmanitan holds out her arms, watching for the soundless cue. And then the girl falls, for what feels like an eternity, until she meets Dolly's arms. They both buckle under the inertia of a 30-foot drop, but Dolly pulls her arm out from under Vision soon enough to give a triumphant thumbs-up to Wolfgang. He roars back.
At the signal, Vanilla reaches out her hand, stretching from it a chilling deep purple aura of malice that wraps itself around Reshiram's leg and tugs it to the ground as hard as she can muster. They scream in effort, their voice cracking with the pressure as they brace their body backwards, but the dragon rears upwards harder as Wolfgang readies a Shadow Claw and is thrown off balance. His remaining claw slips. Vanilla releases the dragon. He reaches for his brother instead. So does Reshiram, grabbing the Zoroark with the sharp talons on its feet. Before Vanilla can reach again, the dragon toys with its prey, tossing Wolfgang above its own head as he snarls something at the top of his voice and just a little further, just reach a little further--
There's a deafening crunch.
Reshiram holds something in its mouth. Something unmoving. It lands gracefully. As if its head had never been clearer. It drops the thing casually. Preens its wings. The thing has the shape of Wolfgang, but it doesn't move.
The malice returns to Vanilla's core. They stand, eyes wide, for seconds or eternities. The thing doesn't move. She stumbles and nearly collapses on her first step. She keeps stumbling as Amadeus rushes over to the thing, some unspoken barrier broken. It doesn't move. Amadeus whines low and hurt and shakes the thing as Vanilla manages to lower himself towards the ground without collapsing. The thing doesn't move. Not to get up, not to mumble something into the dirt, not to breathe. But the thing is, without a doubt, Wolfgang.
Vanilla just kneels. Breathes. Waiting. Even when Amadeus lays her head on her auncle's lap, curling herself into the smallest shape she can muster. Even when Tula rushes over to confirm, as a trauma nurse, what was already known. Even when she tries to meet their eyes, leaning low, but can't. "...I'm... so sorry." They squeeze her hand so tight it hurts when she rests next to them.
Vanilla turns and blinks at the Swords as they approach. He takes in enough to shoo them off with his free hand. He stands roughly when Vision approaches with timid steps. Apologetic. Horrified, from the look on her face. Reliving something. She touches her fur collar again. Amadeus stands to steady her relative, but Vanilla keeps going, speeding until she full-force charges her counterpart, toppling them both to the ground. They draw their blade to Vision's throat wordlessly as Cross readjusts to capture the scene.
"...Do it. You know how I feel, correct? There's no life for me. After this."
His sword hand wavers like it can't decide where the blade's home is. There's a forceful intake of breath as their eyes water, the silence deafening.
Until Reshiram decides there's too much of it, its tail blazing to life. Vanilla glances up, back at Vision, and sighs as she weakly pushes off the ground.
"...But there is. You're going to help me. You say you want justice so badly... then start with yourself. Right your wrongs. And I'll do the same."
The video saves.]

Log 2 - Case V1
Me and my team have finally regrouped after creating an Adequate barrier keeping any wild pokemon away from the fire, though the fire seems to have kept them away on its own. The fella with the plethora of water types seems to have done a better job at putting out the fire than my team so we've changed the tactic to digging a barrier for the water to collect. Reshiram is currently raging but appears to be evenly matched at least from a cursory glance.
Admittedly my eyes are focused on Colress, I do not think it wise to apprehend him in the midst of the chaos I have already acquired more than enough wounds from wild pokemon.
The smoke is high up in the air. I suspect we won't have long before police start to arrive, I'll have to book it once I am sure the situation is taken care of.

[It’s a video, still shot in Lostlorn Forest. The flames seem to be more well-managed than before, but still burn; the fighting, however, seems to have drawn to a momentary pause at the current spectacle.
Reshiram, following Vision's pointer finger, lifts from the ground, soaring in what would be a majestic dive if it weren't for the fact it was headed for not just Colress and his Pokémon, but the half of Vanilla's team and a certain orange-haired swordswoman, who pointedly grabs the scientist's Klinklang and dodges to the side of the impact site. As Chiru grabs Ringogo's back and lifts off, two Pokémon remain: Necrozma, incredibly still sealed in a container of shadows, and Amadeus, too focused on holding the powerful illusion to notice her surroundings, let alone moving by breaking it.
Fur raised, both Vanilla and Wolfgang drop their current battles to rush to the kit's side as fast as their legs, not built for running so much as leaping, carry them. They snarl something at each other in Pokéspeech, nodding, before charging instead at the Reshiram from each of their directions, the malice contained into their fur glowing brilliant red and channeling itself into brilliant spectral armor, Vanilla's the dismantled pieces of a knight's armor, the sword they carry blazing brilliantly as it turns to a longsword, and Wolfgang's the makings of a samurai's, his claws turned into blades of their own.
Together, the two battle-bonded fighters are strong enough to deflect the dragon's Outrage on their own, Wolfgang turning over his shoulder to bark a scolding remark at his daughter, who grabs the Ultra Beast and makes a run for herself. As the dragon winds up with its wing to crush Vanilla, seemingly avoiding Wolfgang, Vanilla absorbs the bulk of the hit with their blade, striking back with a... Secret Sword, perhaps?
Wolfgang takes his chance to strike next, sinking Bitter Malice into the reeling dragon's left shank with his claws as it swings its head into the wolf's armor in response, shattering one of his spectral shin guards. Vision shouts something at the dragon in reaction, and though it looks puzzled, it turns instead to Vanilla again, trying to whack the hybrid with its tail before a narrow dodge below grazes his spectral chestpiece, dissolving its energy as they Night Slash upwards into the blazing tail. For the moment, Vanilla and Wolfgang retreat, noticing the way Reshiram's footsteps totter and its wings flap meaninglessly. Better not to get trapped by a confused legend. Together, though, they stand proud, a look of shocked relief on Vanilla's face.]

[It's a video! A very chaotic one. There seem to be several battles raging at once, and it's hard to pick out what action's directed where, especially among the sounds of roars and growls, snapping branches, blasts of energy, clashes of blades, and a crackling fire a little too close for comfort. After a few moments of swiveling around, there's Cross's timid, electric voice.
"i-i thought this would be the simplest way to show what's going on, pzzt. s-so, i'm just going to... go around... a-and not get hit with a dragon pulse... please..."
In the center of the frame, there's Reshiram, trying to attack a certain frog boy as he scrambles to put out fires, a large, squishy Solosis behind him assisting by shaking out a Rain Dance. It's mostly evaporated by the dragon's superheated tail and flames, though. As Terrakion and Cobalion search for an opening, they dance between each other, sharpening their swords, before Cobalion launches in for a Close Combat. The dragon swivels to the attack quickly, countering with a close-range Fusion Flare that leaves the legendary staggering away from the fight. That leaves one Sword standing in the battle, as Wolfgang attempts to duplicate Terrakion's figure while glancing constantly to Vanilla and Amadeus's location.
Turning swiftly instead to the two foxpeople off to the side, Cross gets close enough to catch the dialogue between the two of them as the two disappear and reappear in a mad attempt to be the first to land a blow, Vision with Dark Pulse and Vanilla with her blade's Night Slash.
"If you really wanted to win, you should've gone back to your own world! You already ruined that one, didn't you?! Why not make Colress try his stupid experiment there, if you're so in control?"
"As a leader, I trust my advisors. And Colress said that testing power like this requires an actual fight, not just crushing the world under out feet. Not that you're much competition..."
Following her opponent's voice, Vision launches a Dark Pulse that glances off Vanilla's shoulder. His illusion fades momentarily.
"Nngh. If you want to change the world, change yours! Who cares about tests?! Isn't what you wanted to win?! What point does it have to destroy Lostlorn? To destroy our pack's home all over again?!"
The words take Vision aback, and as she reaches to touch the red-white fur collar on her robes, Vanilla connects with a Night Slash to her arm, cutting loose some fabric.
"Lostlorn... That's not... That's not a problem! We'll finish this test and change my world while we're at it, too! This is just our warm-up! But I guess I ought to set my advisor in line..."
As the two continue fighting, Vision more clearly distracted, Cross finally zips to Colress's location. He's rapidly losing ground as his team pushes back against Chiru, Ringogo, and Dolly of Vanilla's team, especially with Dolly knocking aside Colress's Magnezone with a single Hammer Arm. Still, he keeps his Beheeyem close to him, as if surely Teleport will start working any minute now. And that small Zoroark's illusions will wear off any minute, freeing up his Necrozma. Not that he could attack actively anyways--that would ruin the experiment! No, he's just here to protect his experiment's integrity. Though he tries not to appear nervous, it's quite clear from the way his one functioning arm fidgets that he's on the lookout for a certain somebody about to take him down.
Finally, Cross recenters on the Reshiram, who appears to be turning in response to some inaudible shouted direction of Vision's.
"u-um... i can't film the evacuation, but that's going well too!! a-and there's some strong water types fighting the flames... ...y-yeah!"]

Hey! So!
I want to get Bingo to be able to interact more with others but its a little difficult cause I know a character that asks a lot of questions can be a bit annoying to some people—
So, if you’re okay with Bingo interacting with you and asking questions about things that would be considered “basic” knowledge to most then Reblog or Comment on this post!
Some background knowledge on Bingo is that she’s 14, has amnesia, is in an Old Western style PMD world, and is a human turned Pokemon surrounded by sentient Pokemon!
Trying to kick my anxiety of having her interact with others so hopefully this helps!

Log 1 of case - V1
Flying into Lostlorne on Mortimers back there was a strange tingle in the air from something and before I knew it, all my Pokemon had released from their balls, I was quick enough to grab Velvet and Eddie while Mega and Toast glided down to the ground. Had to make an abrupt landing, I've instructed my team to begin creating a reasonable sized perimeter. I'm working to rush other smaller Pokemon away from the starting fires, Mega is my only Pokemon equipped to deal with the flames with her Surf and earthquake. I'll can see the action ahead and will provide additional support once I can confirm the threat is contained.

//Hello wonderful people! Today’s the last action day of the arc I’m running, A Vision In The Mirror, and so I wanted to put a few reminders out there since it’s been a long time since this arc started!
- Today is going to have very heavy (emotionally speaking) content! I will tag everything, but I would recommend blocking #a vision in the mirror as an extra precaution if you feel content involving fire/natural disaster, Pokémon death, grief, and negative mental health implications including self-blaming, suicidality, and so on would be especially triggering to you. These aren’t all prominent but they are going to be present. Please please remind me if there’s something I’m not tagging!
- I do not have my arc master post up to date, sadly. If you’d like the backlog, please just look through the arc tag!
- Asks throughout welcome and encouraged!! Active participation is limited at this point since that takes a lot of planning.
- And overall, just thanks to everyone who’s listened to me plan and read along this way! I genuinely appreciate it.
