Alright, time for a late Midnight in Salem rant.

Nancy drew midnight in Salem has to be the worst ND game yet. Maybe that's just because I had my hopes up, considering I had waited literally a third of my life to play it, but hey. Hear me out. I've been playing Nancy drew games for practically my entire life, and I have never felt as sad playing a ND game before.

So, I think what they've done to the controls make it less enjoyable. I preferred the games before, since they'd all had the same controls, and you didn't have to move the camera around on your own, but hey, maybe some people like it, sure. One of the biggest things that grinded my gears tho, is the models. Exiting that castle room in Austria, you can see exactly how flat the land is, barely any detail put into it. Driving with literally anyone would give you the same scene, of them driving while you get to stare at them, and look behind them at the flat earth that immediately drops down practically making a 90 degree angle. Deirdre, Mei, and Teegan all have the EXACT SAME CHARACTER MODEL, AND HAIR. Sure, their hair may be different colors, and it may be flipped, but it's still exactly the same. Like, I get that family is supposed to look alike, but that's a little too similar. Not to mention that Lauren's hair physics ain't working properly. Like, I don't think that hair is supposed to naturally be at an angle. Not to mention you aren't required to do chores, which would NEVER happen, considering everyone always takes advantage of Nancy. You get to choose to do the chores. Why would any willingly do that for any reason besides the achievement? THERE IS NO REASON. The judge was acting as if he was a police officer or prosecutor. Bess and George weren't even available to call, despite ever since their first appearance, they've been in every single game. There's not even any hints. Oh, AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE GHOST HUNTING. I TRULY FELT RAGE, but hey, maybe that's just me. There wasn't even that many mini games despite making herbal remedies. Like, surely there'd be SOMETHING at least kinda fun in the museum?!
