This is my rp blog where I will be playing as multiple characters from multiple fandoms. I probably won’t do FC as much because I like using the characters themselves, but if I find a good one then we’ll see ;) (Gifs are not mine unless stated otherwise)

Jim raised an eyebrow at her explanation. “Why would a group of people come to the beach just to wreak havoc and why hasn’t anyone done something about it if it has become a problem?” Gangs could happen but this village looked like a nice place, one that didn’t look like it had trouble with such things. What she told him seemed kind of farfetched to say the least. He just met Melody, but he didn’t think she would lie to him. Even if she was lying then why would she lie about this? It didn’t make sense.

Jim smiled at her reasoning. Not only did she seem to understand how he felt about it but she also didn’t make a big deal out of it. Normally people would get sad or taken back by this bit of information and then the situation would turn awkward. But Melody just wanted to reassure him and it worked. “Thanks Mel.” He said as they came to a stop. He didn’t notice that they had talked and walked for so long and it was getting dark. “Why? I bet the beach is beautiful under the moonlight.”

Even though most people didn’t follow up with his name preference, he knew the question was coming when he explained it to her. He noticed that he is letting his guard down around her, but even though he realized this Jim didn’t mind it for some reason. “My..uh..Dad’s name was James. He wasn’t really the best father so even though we technically share the same name I prefer not to.”

Jim have a chuckle “Heh, no thank God. My mom wasn’t that cruel when she named me. My first name is ‘James’. It’s a family name. ” Some of the laughter left his eyes as he thought of his father. His name was the only thing his father ever really left him with, but since they were both called James he had taken to being called ‘Jim’ instead. Ever since his dad walked out of him and his mom, Jim really didn’t like being called ‘James’ at all. “But I like to be called Jim over my given name.”

“ ‘Try not to laugh’ huh? Well I guess that’s better than nothing.” A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, but Jim still didn’t meet her eyes when he answered “Pleiades. My name is Jim Pleiades Hawkins.” He waited for her reaction which he knew was going to be full of amusement.

For some reason he couldn’t resist her when she smiled and he found himself caving in “Ok fine” he sighed “But you have to promise not to laugh alright? I’m pretty sure you’ve never heard it before and it’s going to sound really foreign compared to my first and last name.”

The brunette was surprised by her reaction. She seemed like an ordinary girl who did ordinary teenage things but she wasn’t the least bit put off by what he told her. Even if there was more to this girl than meets the eye, Jim was glad that he could talk to her about his life. When she asked about his name he rubbed the back of his neck and looked away “Well, no it’s not…my mom gave me a really old middle name. It’s kinda embarrassing…”

Jim laughed “Actually I’ve met a couple of beings with more than the human average limb count. Where I come from humans are the minority. A war happened a long time ago and a bunch of species came together to live there after it was over. We’ve come a long way since the war, but it’s nothing like Earth.” He said looking up and around at the beautiful scenery. “So what do you like to do for fun, besides jump off cliffs?” he smirked and gave her a playful nudge.

Jim laughed “In a way I guess. According to your definition of ‘alien’ then yeah I suppose I am one….technically. It’s just your planet is kind of behind in the whole space travel thing so it’s kind of hard to explain.” He said then looked at her with a smirk “Actually it’s against the rules to tell you this, but what can I say? I guess I still have a little bit of a rebellious streak in me. You can keep a secret right?”

“I’m from a place called Montressor. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it or not. It’s not a well known….planet.” Jim knew he was taking a gamble with telling her about his home planet. This ‘Earth’ is a backwater planet and isn’t much in tuned to the rest of the galaxy yet. But he felt that he could trust Melody. Besides he thought that if he told her something a little personal about him then she would be more likely to do the same.

Jim shrugged “It just seemed like the best place for a vacation. I mean it’s called the happiest country on Earth isn’t it?” he answered her question but he didn’t miss her previous comment and the look on her face when she said it under her breath. “So far I like what I see.” He gave her a genuine smile “But you’re a local here, so you tell me if that’s true or not. Are you happy here?”

“We’re good.” The brunette had to smile at the way Melody blushed so innocently just from him kissing her hand. She really was cute. Despite her strong face, she really was still a girl. He wanted to learn more about her. He kept hold of her hand as they started walking along the shore. He noticed that she seemed to open up more about herself when they were in or near the water “You’re not used to being treated like a princess, are you Mel?” he asked as the water occasionally splashed at their feet.

Jim looked at her hand before he took it. He knew he was already developing feelings for her, but when he looked into her eyes and kissed her he could feel that she not only wanted him but needed him too. It was clear that her heart had been broken, but Jim was determined to at least be there for her for as long as he could. He wanted to show Melody that she could depend on others. He wanted to show her that she could love and be loved in returned. “Deal.” He said as he shook her hand then for added measure kissed the back of it.

Just when he thought she was getting use to him, Melody asked him something he didn’t think he could do. He was already starting to feel something for her so that ship had sailed whether he wanted it to or not. But as he looked into her eyes, he knew he wanted to get closer to her. He wanted to get to know her and have her know him. If that took longer than time would allow then so be it. Even though he had only known her for less than a day he already knew that this girl was worth the time and effort. With his decision made he answered her proposition with one of his own “As long as you don’t to fall in love with me in return Mel.”
((There were many ways in which I thought Jim could answer that question so I had to think about it for a while. Hope you like the result ^^))

After getting over the shock of seeing her reach shore so quickly, Jim made his way to Melody. Obviously, he wasn’t as quick as her, but he was a pretty in shape guy. Apparently, Melody didn’t think so as commented on his speed (or lack thereof). “And you’re fast.” He said letting her get close and wrapping her arms around him. He took that as a good sign considering she said so herself that she didn’t like to trust people, especially guys. When she brought him in for another kiss he responded back, running his hand through her wet hair ‘I could get use to this.’ He thought.

Melody was a beautiful girl but after the kiss the only word Jim could describe her as was breathtaking. Her cheeks were a nice pink, her eyes were focused on his in an intimate way, and her hair was wavy from being wet all this time. The kiss was an impulse, but he didn’t regret it and he hoped she didn’t. So when she gave her playful grin and challenged him to catch her he was more than happy to do so. In fact as he gave way to chase her he realized two things; (1) the feelings he was experiencing when he was around her were more than just biological (2) this girl could swim fast!

Jim had had girlfriends in the past, but this was the first time where he has kissed a girl and have it felt so...right. He didn’t care if that sounded cliché because when their lips touched he couldn’t find a more suitable word to describe the emotions he was feeling. It started off as innocent but when she put her arms around his neck he deepened the kiss. It was as if instinct took over and he wanted to hold her closer, but he was suddenly reminded that they were in the sea as he made his move to do so. Making out in the sea sounded romantic (and he would suppose it was) but it wasn’t really efficient. He reluctantly broke the lip lock “Wow….Wanna get to shore?” he asked as he caught his breath and rubbed his thumb on her blushed cheek.
(OOC: Sorry this was late! Internet has been acting weird but I think I got it fixed now :D )
