Feliz 4th of July Belleza! Every 4th I get to think of how lucky we are to be living in this country, filled with opportunities. For those that don’t know, I was born in Venezuela and after the 1989 coup we decided to move to USA 🇺🇸. Best decision ever. I remember coming to the USA as if it was yesterday. My mom left everything behind to give me a better future. She pretty much dropped her career path and started from scratch. Thanks to her decision I am here today living the American Dream. Don’t get me wrong… A lot of hard work… not just leaving your country, culture, family and friends but starting from scratch. Thanks to that experience I know anything is possible. Cheers to the country 🇺🇸 that was built by immigrants 🥂! I am so grateful to be part of that American Dream. Ya sabes Belleza. Happy Father’s Day Amor Bello! Hey Belleza, I know it’s been a while that I have posted. I still wanted to share with you a MUST do when you come to #napa . ¡Vale! Puh puh puh pleaseeeeee make every reservation in advance, not just your #wine tours but also where you will be dining 🥘. The first time we visited Napa I wanted to book @aubergedusoleil in #napavalley for breakfast but it was fully booked so next time we visited napa (that’s before we moved) this was a MUST do on my list 📝. This was back in 2013… so as you can imagine now it’s even harder to get a reservation if you don’t plan well advance. This however was the first time we tried their three course menu . We usually come for breakfast or appetizers and drinks. This was a gift 🎁 from my mom to by hubby @drtigrettendo for Father’s Day since she knows how much he loves to explore our valley. Happy Birthday mi tesoro bello. I can’t believe it’s been a year. So many things that have happened in the past year. You are the biggest blessings and I am so thankful to have you in our lives. I’ve learned so much in the last year. I still don’t know how to do certain things but I am learning along to be the best mama for you 😍🌈💫. And to be quite honest I had not until she explained. As the ahhhmazing, talented photographer she is ... well let’s just say Matteo is very lucky to have her aunty gift him his very first own photo shoot. Thank you @mcalderonphoto . The photos are so gorgeous. 😘 I decided to keep the Safari “Wild One” theme. 🐆🦓🦍🐅🐘🦒His room is all decorated Safari so I figured to keep it the same theme for his #smashcakephotoshoot . Hubby @drtigrettendo suggested to get him the confetti 🎉 cake @mondaybakery . Hubby is like if it’s going to be a professional photo shoot w Mariana get him a nice cake babe, not one made from home. 😂 You guys know I am not a chef 👩🏼‍🍳 by any means (love to eat for sure) so I am glad hubby suggested to get the delish confetti 🎉 cake. Omg what a #TBT 😂 I FORGET how huge I was with baby Matteo. This was exactly a year ago... just days before our miracle baby was born. My cravings while pregnant? pineapple 🍍, ice water and any vegetables (I could not see or smell meat or anything that moo 🐮 or had feathers 🐓 ). Any fears? That I wouldn’t have any diapers or baby wipes or the every day things you need for a newborn bc of the international pandemic everything was out of stock. Oh and that I had to wear a mask 😷 while in labor (ÓSEA!!!) Did I fear labor? Nah! I remember hubby @drtigrettendo wanted me to watch all these videos on labor and I fell asleep 😬. I figured, what you don’t know can’t hurt you. Hardest thing of being pregnant? My nausea. It lasted the entire pregnancy and a month after baby was born. In my life I have vomited 🤮 so much. I could smell anything miles away. I was so miserable in wine country bc everywhere you walk anytime of the year there is always an aroma. I am already very sensitive to smells and this was 1000x more. Hubby was encouraging me to be a sommelier. 🙄 Did I miss wine 🍷 ? Nope. I did miss my bubbles 🥂. I was craving @schramsberg so bad and sushi 🍣 towards the end of my pregnancy. What I loved the most on being pregnant? How everyone was so nice to me. I was in shock. And seeing how my body changed, it was hilarious 🤣 every time I saw myself dancing. Seeing my big belly while dancing, feeling Matteo move and hearing his heart beat. 😍🙏🏼 Do I love to be pregnant? Believe it or not, yes. I know. I am crazy. 🤪 What would I do different? Journal my experience. And take my time while pushing for labor to have avoided my 4 degree tear. 🙈 You live and you learn. I am a Capricorn super competitive and when doc told me to push... well I pushed and 3 minutes later Matteo was in my arms. No joke. In labor for 32 hrs but pushed for 3 minutes. 🙈🙉🙊 Thank to my amazing supportive and loving hubby. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my partner in crime and love.
