Trucy finds out her and Apollo are siblings and forcibly teaches him magic tricks and steals his manga in the name of “Sibling Bonding” but it works out bc all Apollo uses the magic for is to fuck with the prosecution in court. If Klavier is allowed to air guitar in the middle of court he’s allowed to gaslight the judge into thinking the rockstar needs glasses because he shoved the cards into his sleeve too fast for the judge to notice. If Nahyuta is allowed to throw beads at him he’s allowed to make direct eye contact with him as he tears important documents in half after realizing they don’t fit the situation and them take perfectly fine folded ones out of his back pocket when they do fit.

When asked what she thinks of this Trucy sheds a fake tear and says “They grow up so fast. It seems like just yesterday when the cards were falling out of his shirt…”

Actually the mechanic of. Noticing how witness’s act to other witnesses. Being a GAME MECHANIC only ever being given to the Naruhodous is such A Concept. Because it is also confirmed that other defense/prosecution lawyers… Do Not Have This. While Apollo and Athena also have skills related to witnesses acting off, they have weird special powers to go about it while the Naruhodous just. Look at people normally and go. “Hey. You’re acting weird. Anything you wanna say abt that other guy’s testimony?” I know the multiple witness thing has only been in a few games but Phoenix also has dialogue that’s something like “JUST LOOK AT HIM” I think with sahwit.

The fact that this is a mechanic UNIQUE TO THEM is so fucking funny. How has any other lawyer ever been surviving.

okay but why do naruhodou and susato actually look like they could be related

I go crazy sometimes thinking about how little we actually know about Naruhodou and he’s the protagonist.

Like, I think he’s genuinely one of the only main characters in aa in which we know NOTHING about his past. The farthest event I can think of is when in 1-1 he mentions that he only ever got sick at 5 (which is… weird in itself. How lucky is this guy?) and had to get a shot and now he hates doctors. Heck, is that the only reason why he hates doctors? Why does he take all of his medicine at once?? Why is he scared of the dark??? Why does he literally never mention his family, when it’s such a big theme in the game, except for that one time in the Britain Side dlc that was literally just exposition to help figure out the plot????

Even with Phoenix, whose family situation we know nothing about, we at least have his relationship with Dahlia and the class trial as little peeks into why he’s the way he is. We don’t have that with Naruhodou, who was only friends with Asougi for a year due to a speech competition that Naruhodou didn’t even remember, so it didn’t effect him much.

Who is this man. Why is he so endearing.

I finally get to play more of DGS2 thanks to Thanksgiving break and I have to say that cases 3&4 are blowing me away RN, very excited to see more.

To go with my naruhodo horror game post, Asougi would not survive a horror game. This isn’t even just bc I’m making fun of him, I genuinely think he wouldn’t survive long. He wouldn’t be the first victim, but he would very likely be second or third, purely because of how impulsive and arrogant he is. This early on in the story, the group likely wouldn’t realize the cause was supernatural yet, which would make Asougi, with Karuma, likely to go seek out whatever’s doing this and put a stop to it, mistakenly believing that it’s either a single person or that it can be easily stopped. He has so little regard for his own life when it comes to people he loves that he would make such a mistake and get torn down easily.

If Asougi would be a protagonist, he would be one that dies in the end, in a way similar to Project Kat: Paper Lily (who did a demonic ritual to try and contact her father that ended up deciding her fate, which… honestly sounds like an Asougi thing to do.)

Though it’s a bit of a stretch to call him a fully fledged witch, Trucy is convinced, and once she’s got something in her head there’s no stopping her (also she does tend to be right). Apollo will play along for the moment but “all witches should have a hat” is a tradition he’d like to skip.
