Please create new work for this event!

Writing, art, gif sets, playlists, etc. are welcome to participate!

Using AI to create pieces for this event WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If it is discovered that AI is used in any way for any piece, the creator will be BLOCKED AND BANNED from participating in any future events.

Please interpret the prompts however you'd like!

When posting your work for the event, please use the hashtag #NejiWeek2024 and/or tag the Tumblr page! @nejiweek

Content containing problematic content/ships (i*ncest, p*edo, etc.) WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If it is discovered those themes are in any content made for this event, the creator will be BLOCKED AND BANNED from participating in any future events.

Please keep all works at nothing higher than a PG13/T for Teen rating.

Late submissions WILL BE ACCEPTED!!! Simple use the same tag and/or tag the blog! If your work is not reblogged in a few days, please feel free to send a message (Sometimes Tumblr messes up and doesn't show tagged posts)!

Contributor applications for cover artist, page artists, and writers will be open from June 1 to June 30, 2023.

This year, we'll be changing up some things for the Naruto Calendar.

1. A shorter timeline schedule

This year, instead of going to mid-December, the final deadline will be at the start of November, likely November 1. This will allow time for final preparations and emergencies--and maybe even let us release the calendar earlier!

The schedule for the 2024 calendar has yet to be set in stone, but the rough schedule so far is: June for apps, Jul-Oct for creation, Nov for finalization, and Dec for release.

Apps will be opening in the first week of June so stay tuned!

2. Better Announcements/Reminders

We know not everyone uses Discord often. So to help keep everyone in the loop about deadlines and changes, we will be posting announcements and reminders here on this blog as well as sending out emails.

For Tumblr notifications, we will tag you in the post, and for email, we will be sending out notification emails through our email: naruto.calendar@gmail.com

Participating in these type of notifications will be optional. After you get in, we will send out another form that you may choose to fill out if you would like to be notified via these methods.

3. Calendar Templates

To streamline the final process near the end, this year we will be providing calendar page templates that artists will have to pair their art to, rather than the other way around.

4. Phone version of the calendar

If you're an artist who doesn't really want to collab with a writer, well you're in luck! Aside from the cover artist role, this year you can apply to work on the phone calendar. This calendar will feature its own collection of art, simpler in style than the desktop/printable versions that we've done in the past. And, of course, this calendar will be vertically formatted to better fit a phone background.

As the phone calendar artist, you will create art for all 12 months. Though the topics will be decided by the other calendar participants, you will have the creative freedom to interpret their chosen themes/topics as you see fit.

Since this would be our first time attempting such a thing, we do expect the way we approach the phone calendar will change as we go. Suggestions are welcome!

Hello! And welcome to what will be the ninth year of Gaara Week! A Gaara focused weekly challenge leading up to his birthday! This weekly challenge will start on the 12th of January and run until Gaara’s Birthday on the 19th of January.

Feel free to draw, write, make, cosplay, sing, dance, take screenshots, make gifs, whatever you want! As long as it has something to do with each separate day’s theme, and you create it yourself.

I will be following the tags all January, so if you don’t make it in time for this exact week, you are still able to complete the challenge in your own time. You are free to create whatever you want with each day’s theme, just know that  @justgaara is strictly Gaara only, so if you make something that contains anyone else besides Gaara and his immediate family I won’t be able to share it on my blog.

TEN DAYS OF TENZO: TENZOVEMBER EDITION 

Every year, we are blown away by incredible submissions featuring our favourite adult ninja taxpayer. In keeping with that tradition, we will be hosting the event again in 2022!

Reader/self-inserts are not generally in the spirit of this character-focused event. 

NSFW entries are allowed, provided they are clearly marked and under a cut. It goes without saying, but you must be 18+ if you are submitting NSFW content! Add warnings to any entry where necessary. Crop images and link externally as needed.

We won’t be accepting adult/minor or sensei/student romance of any kind, including ones where the characters are aged up. Depictions of rape/dub-con, incest, or explicit underage are not permitted and will not be considered as submissions. As always, we want to keep this event as inclusive of everyone’s comfort zones as possible. In the spirit of that, we hope you will create works that celebrate Tenzo!
