here is thou order of kitties

i made two designs of brightheart because the way I draw characters heavily depends on how I view their personality.

this one was the first one that came into my mind. due to me having read WC over a decade ago now, over the years I came to view bright'heart as a shy, very romantic feminine cat. so here I gave her smaller ears, downturned face fluff, doe eyes and eyelashes.

but then I was like

"hm. what did I think about bright'heart when I was actually reading the books?" and I remembered that I actually saw her as sturdy, focused, experienced, yet kind (granted i was like seven at the time and don't remember why I viewed her that way but besides the point).

so, this design doesn't fit my perception. let's alter it a bit!

i removed her made her ear a bit bigger and straighter, gave her upturned cheeks and a more calm, confident expression.

i also wanted to make her less fluffy but it felt like it would erase her physical resemblance to lion'heart, so I compromised: took away her front leg fluff and fluffed up her neck instead, as a nod to her dad's mane.

both designs are rosy-pink because I associate bright'heart with roses (which im convinced came from an animation or a MAP but i can't find it help???????). also I gave her more prominent scars and heart markings because yes.

fun fact. like with leaf'pool, I could've sworn her eyes are actually GREEN. WHY ARE THEY BLUE?????? IS THIS MANDELA???? AM I JUST NOT OKAY IN THE HEAD????? WHAT IS HAPPENING

oh and here's her husband.

and gave him a bit of his mom's markings

I really like when people draw Ashfur and Ferncloud as almost identical except for their eyes because it’s creates this really funny image of people approaching who they think is Ferncloud, expecting a cheerful greeting, and instead post-breakup Ashfur turns around who looks like ghoul due to not taking care of himself, leaving the other cat to slink off awkwardly

The only cat who can tell them apart with a 100% accuracy is Cloudtail

I know several other people have redrawn that one official cloudtail & brightheart art but i wanted to take a crack at it. Hire me harpercollins.
