#i liked it#most of the issues i had with it boil down to television as a whole and the 10 episode season norm#it isn't enough time to tell all the stories they want to tell and it's a large cast with two timelines#there were some noticeable dialogue snags for me#(adult shauna's journaling voiceover was a little bit Barbie dir. Greta Gerwig Feminism for my tastes#i think it could have been stronger spoken by teen shauna or just cut i didn't need to be hit on the head with the point they suddenly#felt the need to spell out but)#and i physically recoiled at ''lottiepops'' just very juvenile fanfic thing to say#but on the whole i really enjoyed it and the moments that were good were So Good#lottie axing the scientist and not wanting to leave and nat killing ben#the constant shauna nat power struggle#and dare i say it even the yellow filter#if it is the weakest of the 3 seasons it's still more intelligent and gay than about 90% of the current competition so#i hope the reactions won't keep it from being renewed#i think also when wait time between seasons is soooo long it's hard to 1. meet insane expectation and anticipation levels that have been#growing for so long and 2. maintain a tone and style#tastes change tech changes the zeitgeist changes#the pilot was shot and written so long ago now that as a creative team how do you maintain that voice/vision/vibe some 7 years but only 3#seasons down the line?#challenges and failures of the modern tv model but i think they created a good season with the time they were giving to do it in and i am#Fully Locked In#*given
