men wanna pretend they have empathy so hard but as soon as you call them out on any of their shit, instead of admitting to it and seeking ways to fix it like an actual person with empathy would do, they personally attack you, pretend the situation is inverted, play the victim, demonize you, try to silence you, throw insults at you, humiliate you, act like everything you say is ridiculous, gang up on you to shut you down as violently as possible, threaten you, pretend they’re superior so their words cannot reach them, call you slurs, dismiss anything you say as untrue (and yet they pretend they listen to women when they speak about oppression! like a person with empathy would!), they do everything possible to put themselves in position where they cannot be called out, it doesn’t matter how oppressive they are, they must not be called out, being called out threatens their privilege and causes truth to spill out and they cannot have that

so yeah, men have empathy, only and ever for themselves, if you’re a woman who wants to point out how they hurt her, suddenly their compassion capacities are down to zero and they silence you as violently as possible.

what i don’t get though is how like, most tv shows and movies that have any women in them, those women get raped, and the writers are all like “oh we’re raising awareness about sexual violence against women” and yet it has no “awareness” effect whatsoever. Like we just have images and depictions of sexual assault shoved down our throats left right and center, and yet despite all this “awareness” that doesn’t translate in to any effect on people believing women in real life are sexually assaulting. The only effect all these endless depictions of sexual assault do I think is scare/further traumatize women, esp victims, and remind us of the very real threat of sexual assault that surrounds us all our lives.

im just tired of the only stories writers (which are male writers really) can even think of when it comes to women is just sex and sexual assault. it’s like we don’t even exist apart from that.

women being emotional never hurt anyone, women struggling and being scared and sad and hurt and struggling doesn’t cause anyone any damage or pain, women trying to figure themselves out and being unsure if it’s okay to feel fear, to feel shame, to re-think actions of others, to figure out if what’s happening to them is fair or not, women asking for comfort and validation and reassurance, women suffering when they’re hurt, these things don’t hurt anyone! women’s emotions are harmless, they’re only trying to communicate that they’re hurt, and men are using this as an insult and attack, as if it’s the biggest crime in this world to want to express pain, to feel what you feel without hurting anyone for it.

men being emotional means men yelling, men screaming, men demanding control, demanding obedience, men destroying things and people, men intimidating and terrifying and hurting everyone until they get what they want. it means carrying out insane revenges, attacking others, resorting to violence, becoming a threat to community. men are the ones who shoot the schools when they’re too emotional over rejection, men are the ones who start beating and raping women when they don’t get what they want, men are the ones perpetuating terrorism and wars, men are the ones who will kill others when they get too emotional.

Breast "exposure" is only acceptable when in line with the patriarchal rules that have been forced upon women. THIS NEEDS TO END. If anything, it should be the other way around because those sexy "promo posters" only reinforce the image of the perfect, sexy women who exists to be the desirable object for men's gazes. Every man who denied a woman right over her own body, I’m coming for you.

Every trafficker, kidnapper, rapist, abuser, murderer, abusive husband, abusive boss, violent assaulter and pedophile, I’m coming for you.

Every pimp, pornographer and sexual sadist on this world, I’m coming for you.

Every man who has used porn as a source of pleasure and enjoyed himself consuming women being raped, beaten, forced into susbmission and denied their own sexuality, I’m coming for you.

Every man who has screamed at a woman while she was crying in pain, I’m coming for you.

Every man who attacked and shut down a woman who was speaking out his crimes, pointing out the injustice and pain they’ve caused, I’m coming for you.

Every man who thinks he can get away with all of this, I’m coming for you.

Do not think you are safe. Do not think your crimes can be excused or tolerated. I see what you’re doing. I’m coming for you. You’ve done harm to a human being, and you’ll regret what you’ve done.
